Abstract

Education is important for the children of the nation as it plays a crucial role in shaping their future. English is an international language and one of the subjects taught in schools. Mastery of English involves four essential skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Among these, listening is a critical skill that must be mastered to avoid misunderstandings during communication with English speakers. To address this need, researchers developed a learning medium to help students improve their English language skills. The approach used in this research was Research and Development (R&D). R&D activities are systematic and iterative, forming what is commonly known as the "research and development cycle." The ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) was applied to develop a learning medium based on a needs analysis. The analysis revealed that Listening Fun (LF) Media was necessary for students to enhance their listening skills. The results of media validation yielded scores of 84% and 96%, indicating that LF Media was suitable for use by students. Similarly, material validation results showed scores of 79% and 83%, further supporting the effectiveness of LF Media. The validation categories for both media and materials were classified as "Very Good." Based on these findings, it was concluded that LF Media is ready to be tested and implemented for student learning.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of reading skills for elementary school students as a foundation for understanding various subject matter, especially skills in understanding the contents of reading. One way that can be done is to carry out reading activities with the reading-aloud method. Reading aloud is an activity of reading aloud carried out by parents or teachers to children. This study aims to determine students' skills in understanding the contents of reading and students' perceptions of the reading aloud method. The research approach used is a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design research type. The independent variable in this study is the reading aloud method while the dependent variable is students' reading skills. The population is 25 students from all grade II students. The research sample was selected using the simple saturated technique. Data collection techniques used in this study are observation, testing, and documentation. Data were collected from the provision of pretests, treatments, and posttests then analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics using the Paired Sample Test using the IBM SPSS Statistic Version 25 system. The results of this study indicate that (a) the reading-aloud method can be applied well by teachers and is carried out according to the stages that should be, (b) Reading skills before and after using the reading-aloud method have increased. The application of the reading-aloud method has a significant influence on the reading skills of class II students of SD IT Qurthuba.

Abstract

This increase was motivated by the finding that when science learning on human and animal organs was held at grade V SD Inpres Besakolka, it should not have reached 0.3% if 0.76% of students had not reached the KKM. So it is categorized as bad. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to improve students' understanding of human and animal organs through experimental methods. The implementation of cycle I was carried out on October 11, 2023, for improvement on cycle II on October 18, 2023. The data needed in this study were obtained through observation of discussions, observation of student and teacher activities, and formative tests. The analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive analysis, with the aim of determining student learning achievement. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that implementing the experimental method can improve student learning outcomes by reaching 23 students/88% who completed and 3 students/0.11% who did not complete in science learning on human and animal organs in grade V SD Inpres Besakolka students.

This is realized through the rules and regulations enforced by the Islamic boarding school. By enforcing these regulations, the students have high discipline so they can achieve the predetermined goals. Because filling and equipping students' cognitive abilities is only a small part of the goals of education.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School 071052 Mondrali. Based on the analysis conducted, the teacher found that the low student performance was due to their lack of understanding of the material being taught, which resulted from the monotonous teaching method, namely, lecturing. This condition caused students to be less actively involved in the learning process. In addition, the teacher did not use teaching media that could engage students' interest, making the lessons less appealing. As an improvement effort, the researcher applied the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The aim of this research was to determine whether the implementation of the PBL model can improve the social studies learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Public Elementary School 071052 Mondrali. The method used in this study was a quantitative method with percentage formulas. The results show an increase in student learning outcomes in each cycle. In the pre-cycle, the initial data showed that only 9.09% or 1 student passed the learning process. However, in cycle 1, the percentage of students who passed increased to 27.3% or 3 students, and in cycle 2, it reached 100%, with all students successfully passing the social studies lesson on natural and man-made features in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Mathematics on the main material of calculating the circumference of flat shapes using the gasing method (easy, fun, enjoyable) for students of class III Elementary Schools Public 102007 Matapao in the 2024-2025 academic year. In this classroom action research, 22 students of class III Elementary Schools Public 102007 Matapo in the 2024-2025 academic year were the subjects of the recipients of the action, while the class 3 teacher was the subject of the perpetrator, the subject of the data source was the Principal. Data collection was carried out through test techniques, this classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of activities: planning, action, testing, and reflection. The results of this study prove that the use of the gasing method (easy, fun, enjoyable) can improve student learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects on the material of calculating the circumference of flat shapes for students of class III Elementary Schools Public 102007 Matapao in the 2024-2025 academic year. Judging from the average value of students' Mathematics learning outcomes that increased, namely before the action (pre-cycle) (71.68) in cycle I (73.04) and in cycle II (80.22). In addition, the percentage of student learning outcomes completion, namely before the action (45.45%), in cycle I (7.72%), and in cycle II was (90.90%).

Abstract

The acquisition of mathematical knowledge in Public Primary School 2 Sumber Mukti encountered several obstacles, namely the lack of student motivation in the following lessons. The lack of enthusiasm and apathy shown by students during the learning process had a negative impact on their academic achievement. To overcome this problem, a direct learning strategy was used by utilizing concrete visual media. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes and describe learning activities related to the concept of addition and subtraction. This study is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in class II of Public Primary School 2 Sumber Mukti, with 9 students. The research methodology was carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collected on student learning outcomes through written evaluations were then examined qualitatively in a descriptive manner, emphasizing the extent of student achievement. The study showed that the use of concrete visual media improved student learning outcomes. In Cycle I, out of 9 students, 4 students achieved learning completion, while 5 students did not, so the percentage of completion was 40%, which was still below the minimum threshold for classical completion. In Cycle II, the number of students who completed the program increased to 7 students, while 2 students still had not completed it, so the completion percentage was 70%, thus meeting the minimum threshold for classical completion.
