Abstract

The difficulty of finding synonyms between Arabic and Indonesian has become a problem for translators. This study aims to find an alternative process of translating Arabic synonyms found in the book alfu lailah walailah lil athfal by Najwa Husain Abdul Aziz. The book contains synonyms consisting of two words in one sentence. This form of synonym amounts to sixteen words spread across various pages. This research focuses on analyzing the synonyms and how they are translated both lexically and contextually. The object of this research is the book alfu lailah walailah lil athfal by Najwa Husain Abdul aziz. This study uses the contextual semantik approach that has been developed by K. Ammer's Contextual Theory which includes four kinds contexts: linguistic context, emotional context, situational context, and cultural context. This theory seeks to preserve the precise contextual meaning of the source language, so that both diction and content can be readily accepted and understood by the reader.  This literature research is conducted solely based on the facts and phenomena contained in the data. In collecting data, the author uses the observation method, where in linguistic research this type of method is called the listening method. Meanwhile, in analyzing the data, the author uses the intralungual pairing method, which refers to the meaning of elements in the language that are lingual in nature, such as matters concerning meaning, information, and context of speech. In applying this method the author uses two techniques; first, the comparative linking technique equalizes, second, the comparative linking technique differentiates. While in the process of presenting the results of data analysis, the author uses a formal method by presenting the data with two methods, namely describing the findings and presenting the findings through tables. Through several stages, the data can be obtained that in the process of translating synonymous words using contextual approach, there are three variations of translation methods according to the context of the sentence; first: synonymous words are translated into one sentence, second: translation of synonymous words into two words (both words that are side by side must be translated), third: synonymous words are translated into one word but by looking for alternative meanings that can cover the two words. In this way, the translation is understood by readers and matches the context of the sentence.

Abstract

Tests are expected to provide information on how much and how deep a student's skills are and must be related to a particular learning material. al-'Arabiyyah Bayna Yadaik Kitab ath-Tholib ats-Tsani textbook provides tests with certain themes. This study aims to determine and analyze the form of speaking skill questions contained in the al-'Arabiyyah Bayna Yadaik Kitab ath-Tholib ats-Tsani book based on Muhammad Ali Al-Khuly's perspective and the level of learning speaking skills according to Rusydi Ahmad Thu'aimah (beginner/intermediate/advanced). This research is a literature study. Primary data sources are taken from the books al-'Arabiyyah Bayna Yadaik Kitab ath-Tholib ats-Tsani, al-Ikhtibarat al-Lughowiyyah, and Ta'lim al-Arobiyah lii Ghoirin Nathiqina Biha Manahijuhu wa Asalibuhu. While secondary data sources are books, articles that discuss related to learning speaking skills and speaking skills tests.  This study found that in al-'Arabiyyah Bayna Yadaik Kitab ath-Tholib ats-Tsani there are forms of questions that are included in the form of Ikhtibar al-Asilah 'an Shuroh, Ikhtibar al-Muhawaroh, Ikhtibar al-Muqobalah al-Muwajjahah, Ikhtibar al-Asilah al-Maktubah. As for the level of students in learning speaking skills, the form of questions in al-'Arabiyyah Bayna Yadaik Kitab ath-Tholib ats-Tsani belongs to the beginner level. This research can help teachers to utilize this textbook more effectively in Arabic language learning.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the beauty of the language in Surah āl-Insyirāh, which contains strong messages about consolation and strengthening in the face of difficulties. This research also examines the importance of these messages in the context of adolescent psychology, a critical period in the emotional and mental development of individuals. This research aims to reveal The graphic miracle, according to Āisyah Binti āl-Syāthi’, in Surah āl-Insyirāh, can be a guide for teenagers in facing the problems of their world, which is full of worries and anxieties. This research uses a qualitative research approach by collecting some data and then analyzing it until the research ultimately obtains important results with the presence of different aspects of the declarative miracle in Surah āl-Insyirāh. It has been found that Surat āl-Insyirāh has a profound linguistic beauty that can provide comfort and reinforcement. The message about there being ease after hardship, the importance of patience, and continuing to strive is very relevant to the challenges teens face. Āisyah Binti āl-Syāthi’s interpretation enriches the understanding of how these messages can be applied in the daily lives of teenagers, helping them develop emotional and mental resilience. Thus, this study shows that the graphic miracle of Surah āl-Insyirāh is not only amazing in terms of language but also has a positive impact on the mental health of teenagers. This research provides an explanation as well as an important contribution in literary and linguistic analysis to reveal the uniqueness of language style (i'jaz bayani) contained in Surah āl-Insyirāhwhich has a high beauty of language and a deep rhetorical structure. It is recommended that further research be conducted to expand the analysis to include other letters in the Qur’an and evaluate the effectiveness of applying these values in a broader and more diverse context.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of a researcher survey at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor which applies language environment in its daily activities aims to create a language environment so familiar that it integrates all aspects of female students daily activities into the official language environment system. This environment will encompass the elements of education and teaching that the students can perceive, hear, and feel. This research aims to: Knowing the implementation of language environment in Pondok Modern Darussalam, Knowing the non-formal extracurricular supporting activities that form language environment, and Knowing the inhibiting factors in the implementation of language environment at Pondok Modern Gontor. To achieve these objectives, descriptive qualitative research with field research method is used. The subjects in this study were the head master of the boarding school, the language department stuff, teacher, responsible of dormitory, and the student. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then the data were analyzed and conclusions were drawn. The conclusions that can be drawn from this study are: first; the implementation of language environment is by requiring the use of Arabic for 24 hours a day, in learning full of language so that students are accustomed to using Arabic. Second; language environment is very instrumental in improving the language skills of students, with language habituation inside and outside the classroom they are able to communicate Arabic fluently. Third; The supporting factors are the existence of a supportive environment, cooperation, competent Arabic language educators, and adequate infrastructure. The conclusion from the results of this research is that the formation of an Arabic language environment accompanied by extracurricular events can influence female students in the learning process and absorption of Arabic in their lives. For future researchers, they can develop their learning strategies and Researchers suggest that further research emphasizes implementation and focuses on improving the achievement of the values of good Arabic learning goals by maximizing the effectiveness of the extracurricular Arabic language events that have been held. focus on increasing the achievement of the values of the ultimate goal of good Arabic language learning by maximizing the effectiveness of the running of extracurricular Arabic language events that have been held.

Abstract

This research discusses the management of Arabic language learning through the Qur'ani Cendikia Program (PCQ) based on George R. Terry's theory which was implemented at the Asy-Syadzili 2 Salaf Qur'ani Islamic Boarding School, with a focus on program management and the problems faced. This research used a qualitative descriptive method, carried out at the Salaf Qur'ani Asy-Syadzili 2 Islamic Boarding School in Malang, in 2024. The research subjects were Arabic Language Teachers. The informants were Islamic boarding school administrators, teachers and students. Data collection was carried out using observation, interviews and documents methods. Meanwhile, data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman analysis technique which consists of data collection, data presentation, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research reveal that Arabic language learning management is in accordance with George R. Terry's theory which includes planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The research results show that the implementation of the Cendikia Qurani Program (PCQ) is in accordance with George R Terry's management theory. Apart from that, there are also supporting factors such as support from Islamic boarding schools and the quality of teachers. Research on a program with management theory is still rare, it is hoped that this research can be developed by future researchers.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of development of innovative learning media for learning Arabic listening at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Inayah Bandung. Additionally, teachers have not fully utilized technology as a learning media. In learning Arabic listening, teachers only use audio players such as MP3 players on cell phones or read the material directly in front of the class. Therefore, this study aims to develop practical and innovative Spotify podcast media for learning Arabic listening in 11th-grade. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects in this study were 27 11th-grade students of Madrasah Aliyah    Al-Inayah Bandung. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. The media developed was then validated by experts, with validation results from material experts showing a percentage of 92.7% (very valid), and from media experts 97.7% (very valid). It was also tested on students to assess its feasibility with the results showing a percentage of 88% (very valid). Based on these results, the Spotify podcast media is considered feasible as a learning media for Arabic listening in 11th-grade at Madrasah Aliyah. It is hoped that this will facilitate the learning process, particularly in Arabic listening comprehension, thus creating quality learning experiences. This research is aimed at developing podcast media for Arabic listening skills, and it can serve as a suggestion for future studies to investigate or develop podcasts as a learning media for other Arabic language skills.

Abstract

Arabic language learning is a lesson that is difficult to understand and comprehend by most students one of them is students at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan, because the learning model applied by the teacher is a lecture model that makes students quickly feel bored in participating in learning. Therefore, the type cooperative learning model is a solution that is in accordance with the situation of students in grade 7 SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Numbered Head Together type cooperative learning model in improving learning outcomes in Arabic language subjects. The research method used is quantitative pseudo-experimental type true experimental with post test only control group design. Researchers will use taking 50 samples. This study uses two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group by giving treatment and post test in each class. The sampling used is probability sampling, researchers use data collection methods only from post test results. The results showed that the Numbered Head Together type cooperative learning model was effective in improving the Arabic language learning outcomes of 7th grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Kalasan compared to learning with the lecture method. Evidenced by the results of the independent sample T-test analysis, it is known that the 2 tailed sig value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05, so Ho is rejected Ha is accepted. It is concluded that there is a significant difference in the average student learning outcomes between learning using the Numbered Head Together model and learning that does not use the Numbered Head Together model, namely the lecture method. For future research If you want to use the Numbered Head Together model in learning, adjust it first to the needs of students and do as much as possible so that the resulting output is optimal. In addition, teachers can develop more creative learning models so that students learn fun and understand easily.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, mastering Arabic has become increasingly important as an international language used in many religious, academic, and professional contexts. Therefore, innovation in Arabic teaching methods is necessary to improve students' learning outcomes and motivate them to learn the language more effectively. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of second-grade students at KMI Pondok Modern Al-Barokah Nganjuk in Muthola'ah lessons. By utilizing the Mysterious Card Box (KoKaMi) as a learning medium, this study focuses on implementing interactive and enjoyable teaching methods for the students. This research follows Kurt Lewin's Classroom Action Method, which consists of four stages: planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The study was conducted in two cycles to determine the effectiveness of the KoKaMi learning medium and the students' learning outcomes. The subjects of this research are the second-grade students at KMI Pondok Modern Al-Barokah Nganjuk, totaling 16 students. The results of this study showed that the KoKaMi learning medium can be used by teachers to deliver Muthola'ah lessons while involving the students significantly. In the first cycle, 5 students passed with a percentage of 31.35%. In the second cycle, the number of students who passed increased to 11 students with a percentage of 93.75%. Based on the actions carried out over two cycles, it can be concluded that the KoKaMi learning medium is effective in delivering Muthola'ah lessons Class 2 students at KMI Pondok Modern Al-Barokah Nganjuk. Finally, the researcher hopes that in the future, this research can be used and be effective in research, especially research related to the Arabic language.

Abstract

The research addresses the necessity for developing and implementing more effective learning methods and media to enhance the mastery of Arabic vocabulary among school students. The research aims to apply and evaluate the effectiveness of cooperative learning through the word-matching game technique to enhance the mastery of Arabic vocabulary among grade VIII students. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically a non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of two VIII classes in MTs Negeri 1 Bandung City, namely the control class (VIII B) and the experimental class (VIII E), each totaling 30 students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and tests to measure the enhancement of Arabic vocabulary mastery. The results showed that cooperative learning with word-matching game technique significantly enhanced students' vocabulary mastery compared to the conventional method. The experimental class showed significant enhancement with a normalized gain score of 56.55%, categorized as quite effective. In comparison, the control class only obtained a score of 30.50%, which is classified as ineffective. The scientific contribution of this research is to provide empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of game-based cooperative learning in enhancing Arabic vocabulary acquisition at the junior high school level. This research also enriches the literature on innovative learning methods in language education, especially Arabic. Future research suggests further studies exploring the application of this word-matching game technique at different educational levels and contexts and examining the long-term effects of using this technique. In addition, further research can consider other factors that can affect learning success, such as student motivation, parental involvement, and technological support in the learning process.

Abstract

Error analysis refers to a type of linguistic analysis that focuses on the mistakes made by learners when learning a second language, and the classifying them. This research aims to analyze the errors in writing verbal sentences in composition lessons among second-year students at the Islamic Teacher Training College at Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor for Girls Campus 2. This research is a library research using descriptive and analytical methods, where data is obtained from the student’s notebooks collected to be analyzed afterwards to determine the types of errors that occur frequently and the factors that lead to these errors. The result of the research is that there were errors in the parsing of the direct object 17 times, in the parsing of the subject 6 times, in the parsing of the direct object of the adjective and the accusative twice, in the parsing of the present tense after the accusative letter 3 times, in the composition of the infinitive with that and the verb once, and in the use of the matching pronoun, once in the subject, once in the parsing of nullifying verbs, and once in the parsing of the genitive noun. In this abstract we will discuss the error analysis of writing Arabic and the best way of using good rules in writing verbal sentences so as not to fall into error writing. For future researchers, they can develop their learning strategies and they can be regenerated to be more complete for further research. Researchers suggest that future research places more emphasis on implementation and focuses on increasing the achievement of the values and ultimate goals of good Arabic language writing skill.
