Abstract

In the current digital era, technology plays a crucial role in supporting learning assessment methods. The use of technological devices in learning has become a major requirement in learning. In evaluating Arabic language lessons, a teacher is required to be able to present learning material questions in an innovative evaluation media to meet learning targets. This research aims to describe evaluation in Arabic language learning using formative media in evaluating listening and reading skills. The research employs a reseach and development ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation). Data collection involves literature review, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to 34 students. The results of this research found that formative evaluation media can support and make it easier for teachers to evaluate Arabic language learning, especially listening and reading skills. The media's advantages include diverse question types, audio-visual features, login functionality, scoring for each question item, and time limits for completion. With this conclusion, this media can be a solution for teachers in evaluating students' Arabic language skills. This research is still limited to evaluating listening and reading skills only, so suggestions for further research are to use this media to evaluate speaking and writing skills.

Abstract

Quizlet platform-based learning media is an interactive learning media that can be used in the Arabic language learning process, especially vocabulary. This research is based on the problems students encounter when learning Arabic, especially vocabulary. Students have difficulty learning Arabic because they consider Arabic to be a difficult subject and the lack of learning media used by teachers means that students lack enthusiasm in the learning process. This research is research and development research (R&D), namely research activities that begin with research and end with development. This research uses a mixed methods approach and the Hannafin and Peck development model, which consists of three phases: the first phase is need assessment, the second phase is design, and the third phase is development and implementation. This research aims to determine the feasibility of learning media based on the researcher' developed Quizlet platform. The data in this research are in the form of observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The subjects of this research are students in class 8F of the Insan Mulia Islamic Boarding School in Pringsewu Lampung. The following are the research steps carried out by the researcher: 1. The first phase is needs analysis, the researcher carries out direct observations and personal interviews with Arabic teachers. 2. The second phase, namely design, the researcher designed an Arabic language learning media design based on the Quizlet platform. 3. The third phase, namely development and implementation, researcher developed learning media based on the Quizlet platform and validate it by experts. Researcher conducted product feasibility tests. Several validators validated these: two were learning material experts, two were learning media experts, and one was an educational practitioner expert. Researcher obtained research results with validation results by experts with very good grades, including: 91% by material experts, 94% by learning media experts, and 90% by education practitioner experts. Therefore, Arabic language learning media based on the Quizlet platform developed by researchers is suitable for use in Arabic language learning, especially vocabulary.

Abstract

During observations at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Pangkalpinang, We found that there were still many students who had poor Arabic language skills. It makes us interested to know the pedagogical competence of the teacher at the school and also the obstacles he encountered in optimizing the application of the pedagogic competence he possesses because there are some studies that say that the pedagogy of teachers influences the learning outcome, motivation, and interest in learning Arabic students. This research aims to find out how the teacher's pedagogical competence is implemented in the following learning process with the obstacles encountered by the teacher in implementing such pedagogic competence. This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. For data collection, the methods of interviews, documents and observations were used. For data analysis, the techniques invented by Miles and Huberman consist of the process of data reduction, presentation of data, and drawing conclusions. The results of research showed that teachers at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) in Pangkalpinang already have good pedagogical competence. However, in optimizing the application of their pedagogical competences, teachers face various barriers from both students, schools, environments, and learning time. This research provides information to future researchers. We hope that there will be further research into solutions that can be offered to overcome barriers to learning Arabic that come from students, schools, environments and the learning time provided.

Abstract

Arabic language learning in Indonesia can experience significant improvement if, in its implementation, there is a role for learning models, reinforcement and motivation, information processing, and students' self-confidence when speaking Arabic. This research aims to analyze Bandura's social cognitive thinking and its implementation in the Arabic language context. This research approach is a descriptive qualitative analysis study with the type of library research. The main source of data comes from various documents in books and scientific articles. Data collection is carried out through documentation techniques, namely tracing data sources that have been written and sources that are directly related to the figures being researched, and analysis using the content analysis method. Test the validity of the data using the credibility test method (internal validity), transferability (external validity), dependability (reliability), and confirmability (objectivity). The results of the research show that Bandura's social cognitive theory can be applied in Arabic language learning by improving the presentation of material through hiwar, imitation of material that has been studied, habituation, creating a language environment, maximizing learning media, and increasing students' motivation to use Arabic on a daily basis. The advantages of implementing Bandura's social cognitive theory in learning Arabic are prioritizing maharah istima' and maharah kalam, using a variety of learning media, increasing learning motivation, and creating a conducive learning atmosphere. The weakness is that learning evaluation is only based on the results, not the process, and requires sufficient time and effort to implement. Bandura's social cognitive thinking made a major contribution to the Arabic language, namely in developing interactive language learning methods and media, improving Arabic language skills, and increasing learner motivation and self-confidence. From this research, further research can be developed related to the implementation of social cognition in different cultural contexts, its effectiveness, and how the environment influences Arabic language learners.

Abstract

Students experience difficulties in understanding the rules of Arabic lessons, this is caused by the lack of supporting teaching materials used by teachers in learning. The aim of the research is to produce a product and to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of using the product in learning Arabic. The method used in this research is the R & D method with the Four D (4D) model, namely Define, Design, Developmnet and Disseminate. Data collection was taken from interviews with teachers in the field of Arabic language studies and several students, observations carried out in the classroom, and tests on student learning outcomes obtained from trials, then documentation. The data analysis technique uses an independent sample t-test with a significance value of <0.05. Product feasibility is obtained from two validators, namely media experts and material experts. The final results of this research are based on a validity test, namely validation by media experts getting results of 85.7% with very feasible criteria, validation by material experts getting results of 95.4% with very feasible criteria. In the assessment of students in the control class and experimental class, the average score was 58.3, increasing to 84.5 in the control class and an average of 34.9, increasing to 90.1 in the experimental class. Thus, it can be stated that the Liveworksheet-based E-LKPD is very feasible and effective for use in Arabic language learning for class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah students. The scientific contribution of this product is that we hope it can be used in learning activities in the current Independent Curriculum era and for future research, hopefully we can further develop this research.

Abstract

The Egyptian Qolloquial Arabic is widely used to articulate Arabic song lyrics, which have phonological differences that can alter the sounds of spoken words. These differences occur in specific phonemes, including the phonem [q] and [ʤ] changing to the phonemes [ʔ] and [ɣ]. This research employs a comparative qualitative method and document analysis through Pra at analysis to obtain visualization results of speech sound errors when pronouncing the phonemes [ʔ] and [ɣ]. Them form of speech sound errors in this study is obtained through a comparative analysis of the phoneme sounds of Native Speaker and Non Arabic Speakers. The data on speech errors were collected from four stanzas of Egyptian Qolloquial Arabic song lyrics. The results of this study show substitution errors of the phoneme [ʔ], which canges into the phoneme [ʕ]. Meanwhile, the pronounciation of the phoneme [ɣ] is articulated like the phonem [g] in Indonesian. This study also shows errors related to the addition and deletion of speech sounds at the beginning of words. These errors refer to the phonetic structure components, including the nature and articulation area of the phoneme, as well as the acoustic components in the fundamental frequency and sound intensity. This research is a novelty in Arabic linguistics by comparatively analyzing phoneme speech errors of Non Arabic Speakers when articulating  Arabic songs. Therefore, it is hoped that future research can develop studies that analyze vocal speech errors in using Egyptian Qolloquial Arabic when articulating other Arabic songs.
