Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job description, human capital, and work culture on employee performance at the Langsa Kota Sub-district Office. A qualitative approach is used with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis as data collection techniques. The research informants consisted of the head of the office, administrative staff, and functional employees who were selected purposively. The results of the study show that a clear job description plays an important role in providing job guidance to employees. However, some challenges were found, such as unclear tasks in certain positions and overlapping responsibilities between employees, which could affect work coordination. From the aspect of human capital, formal education, technical training, and work experience have proven to have a great contribution to the quality of employee performance. However, limited access to training and competency development is a major obstacle, especially for new employees. Meanwhile, the work culture at the Langsa Kota Sub-district Office is generally considered positive, especially in the aspect of team cohesion. However, the discipline and innovation aspects still need more attention to encourage productivity and creativity at work. These three factors, namely job description, human capital, and work culture, are interrelated and affect employee performance simultaneously. This study concludes that optimal human resource management must include evaluation of task descriptions, improvement of training programs, and strengthening work culture. The implications of this study are expected to be a reference for the Langsa Kota Sub-district Office to improve employee performance in providing more effective and efficient public services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of authoritarian leadership and distributive justice on employee job satisfaction in Idi Tunong, East Aceh. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, data was collected through a questionnaire filled out by 46 employees. Data analysis was carried out with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that authoritarian leadership had a significant negative influence on job satisfaction (r = -0.42), while distributive justice had a significant positive influence (r = 0.61). Regression analysis shows that distributive justice plays a greater role in increasing job satisfaction than the negative influence of authoritarian leadership. These findings support the theory of leadership and distributive justice, where an overly authoritarian leadership style can reduce employee motivation and satisfaction, but the application of good fairness principles can improve employee welfare and organizational productivity. In conclusion, leaders in the public sector need to reduce authoritarian approaches and improve distributive justice to maintain employee job satisfaction

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a very important role in the Indonesian economy and also function as a driving force for innovation and entrepreneurship. With flexible and adaptive characteristics, MSMEs are able to innovate and adapt to rapid market changes. The main challenges faced by MSMEs in terms of innovation and performance include limited access to resources, both financial and non-financial. In addition, the lack of knowledge and skills in information technology and digitalization is also an obstacle. In this digital era, MSMEs that are unable to utilize information technology will be left far behind by competitors. Strategic collaboration can be an effective solution to overcome the challenges faced by MSMEs in terms of innovation. This study aims to assess the impact of collaboration on innovation and performance of MSMEs in Indonesia where it can be used as a success or failure of MSME strategic collaboration in Indonesia. A qualitative approach and literature review were chosen in depth regarding the phenomenon of strategic collaboration that occurs among MSMEs in Indonesia. Therefore, it is important for MSMEs to develop a clear and measurable collaboration strategy, and to conduct periodic evaluations to ensure that the expected collaboration provides the expected benefits. Thus, strategic collaboration can be a major driver of innovation and performance of MSMEs in Indonesia, which will ultimately contribute to economic growth.
