Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah menggunakan strategi abduktif-deduktif. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan eksperimental dengan desain pretes-postes dan kelompok kontrol tidak acak pada siswa kelas XI di salah satu SMA di Kabupaten Pati, Jawa Tengah. Analisis data penelitian dilakukan secara kuantitatif-kualitatif berdasarkan kategori kemampuan awal matematis (KAM) maupun keseluruhan. Selain peningkatan kemampuannya, dianalisis pula interaksi antara pembelajaran dan KAM. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran dengan strategi abduktif-deduktif lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran ekspositori. Secara lebih rinci dari kategori KAM, hanya pada kategori tengah yang menunjukkan peningkatan yang lebih baik. Sedangkan pada kategori KAM atas dan bawah memiliki peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang sama. Interaksi antara pembelajaran dan KAM dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tidak menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan.This research purpose is to improve the problem solving ability using abductive-deductive strategy. This study is experimental research using a pretest-posttest design with nonrandomized control group in XI class student at one senior high school in Pati, Central Java, Indonesia. Data analysis was performed by quantitative-qualitative analysis based on categories of early mathematical ability and overall. In addition, it also analyzed the interaction between learning and early mathematical ability. The results showed that the improvement of mathematical problem solving abilities in students with abductive-deductive strategy better than those who received the expository learning. More details based on early mathematical ability categories, only the middle category which showed better improvement. While the upper and the under categories have equal improvement. The interaction between learning and early mathematical ability showed no significant relationship to improve problem solving ability.Â

The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of learning with abductive-deductive strategy on the achievement of mathematical reasoning abilities of high school students. It employed the experimental pretest-posttest with non-randomized control group design to the eleventh grade students of one high school in Pati, Central Java, Indonesia. Data were collected in the form of early mathematical ability categories (EMA) and overall. The results showed that the achievement of mathematical reasoning abilities that students acquire through learning with abductive-deductive strategy was better than that of the students who received were taught with expository learning. In more detail, only students in the medium category of EMA showed better achievement in mathematical reasoning abilities. Meanwhile, students of the upper and lower categories had the same achievements in their reasoning abilities. Based on the findings of the research, it is expected that teachers can encourage students to apply abduction and deduction strategy in order to achieve in mathematical reasoning abilities.

Student learning achievement in Indonesia is low, this is because there are still many students who experience difficulties in learning geometry. To overcome these problems a way is needed so that students can understand concepts meaningfully and have good geometrical reasoning. This is certainly related to the appropriate learning model to be used in the learning process. One model of learning that can be used is a problem-based learning model. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to understand the concepts and geometric reasoning of students who acquired a problem-based learning model compared with students who received conventional learning on quadrilateral material in class VII MTs. Tanwiriyah Kalisari. The research method used is quantitative with quasi-experimental research design. The results of the study showed that the ability to understand the concept of students who obtained a problem-based learning model was better than the ability to understand the concept of students who obtained conventional learning models. as well as the geometric reasoning abilities of students who acquired a better masculine learning model compared to the geometric reasoning abilities of students who acquired the conventional learning model.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya kecenderungan pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru menjadikan siswa kurang aktif. Salah satu alternatif untuk mengatasi hal tersebut adalah dengan menerapkan pembelajaran STAD (Student Team Achievment Division) berbantuan media komik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan STAD berbantuan komik pada materi bangun ruang kubus di kelas V MI Muhammadiyah 02 Laren Lamongan ditinjau dari tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa, tingkat aktivitas siswa, tingkat aktivitas, dan tingkat respon siswa. Subyek penelitian ini melibatkan 17 siswa. Diperoleh hasil bahwa persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal dinyatakan tuntas sebesar 94,1%, persentase aktivitas aktif siswa sebesar 88,25% dengan kategori aktif, persentase aktivitas guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran sebesar 89,15% dengan kategori baik, dan persentase respon positif siswa sebesar 96,47% dengan kategori baik.

Learning with abductive-deductive strategy is the type of a new approach learning of mathematical thought processes. The purpose of this research is to improve students’ mathematical disposition using abductive-deductivestrategy. Research carried out a nonrandomized control group, prescalepostscale design in eleventh class in one high school in Pati regency, Central Java. Data analysis was conducted quantitative-qualitative research by category early mathematical ability (KAM) and overall. In addition, purpose of research is to also analyze the interaction between learning and KAM. The results showed that the increase of students who got a mathematical disposition learning with abductive-deductive strategy have same result with the students who got expository. In more detail, the category of upper class and middle class is showing the same increase. While the below categories has an increased disposition smaller than the expository. Interaction between learning and KAM to increase the disposition showed no signifiant relationship. This research expected teachers to notice early mathematical ability of students in mathematicsand give special attention related to increase in students’ mathematical disposition, due to certain student groups despite a suitable learning to improve students’ mathematical ability and disposition, however differentthe early mathematical ability showed different resultsKeywords: Strategi Abduktif-Deduktif, Peningkatan, Disposisi Matematis.

A pleasant learning environment is influenced by the teaching materials used. We arrange teaching materials in that can make learning more exciting and increase the learning interests of learners. Integral calculus is still one of the problem subjects for students and contains primary materials as a prerequisite for other courses. The design of the animated learning materials for the integral calculus course needs to be developed. The resulting product has different characteristics from other teaching materials, such as presentation design that emphasizes graphical animation, some material parts with simulation video, sample and practice questions. This teaching material is also equipped with a guidebook of its use. Animated teaching materials are expected to be an alternative solution in increasing students' interest and understanding in integral calculus courses.

Considering the results of researchers’ observation at some Teaching English as A Foreign Language (TEFL) classes, which noted that there were at least two problems, namely the lack of materials to accommodate the students’ need of learning and unavailability of TEFL media to support the learning process, the development of materials for TEFL class are urgently needed. Besides, the high demand for technology integration into language learning to face digital environment motivates education practitioners to develop materials with technology application. WebQuests can be one of meeting points for this intersection. A WebQuests is an online media which allows students to collect and construct information about a subject using a web. By using WebQuests, the students will have an opportunity to actively contribute constructing their own knowledge during the teaching and learning process. Lambatnya adaptasi penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran matematika perlu menjadi perhatian yang serius untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang kompeten. Banyak penelitian menunjukkan kelebihan bahan ajar berbasis animasi, pendekatan kontektual maupun kearifan lokal. Namun dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya kalkulus diferensial, belum ada bahan ajar yang menggambungkan ketiganya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan bahan ajar kalkulus diferensial berbasi animasi dengan pendekatan kontekstual dan kearifan lokal. Dilakukan uji validasi kepada ahli dari segi konten materi, grafis-animasi dan keterbacaan, serta respon peserta didik terhadah bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Diperoleh hasil bahwa bahan ajar ini layak untuk digunakan dengan kriteria sangat baik dan memperoleh respon positif mahasiswa dalam hal penggunaan bahan ajar yang digunakan, materi yang diajarkan, dan minat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Bahan ajar berbasis animasi ini bisa digunakan sebagai alternatif bahan ajar yang menarik minat mahasiswa. Penelitian pengembangan serupa perlu dilakukan dan dilanjutkan oleh para peneliti dan pengembang media untuk mata kuliah yang lain atau mata pelajaran di sekolah.
