Abstract

This study identified problems in the teaching and learning process at SMA Negeri 2 Sanga Desa, especially related to student learning difficulties related to personality characteristics and learning habits, as well as students performing below their abilities. The research aims to evaluate the effect of synectic learning media, especially wordwall games, on the learning interest of students in class XI IPS 1 in the subject of economic growth and development. The research method used is the experimental method. The results of the wordwall game test in the experimental class showed an average increase in students of 85.66%. In the synectic model category, student activeness reached an average of 46.66%, and experimental student learning outcomes showed an increase of 46.66%. The overall analysis showed a significant increase in students after applying the wordwall game media of synectical learning, with an average increase of 85.66%, categorized as "Improving /affecting". The research hypothesis also supports the positive influence of wordwall game on students' interest, with the value of t_hitung=7.277>t_tabel=1.697, so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Nonetheless, the study recognizes the possible influence of other factors on the results. The conclusion of the study shows that wordwall games have a positive influence on high school students' interest in economics subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Sanga Desa.

Abstract

The use of media in learning that is not appropriate will cause boredom for students so that learning will seem monotonous and affect students' motivation to learn mathematics. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of TGT (Teams Games Tournamet) learning assisted by Wordwall media on students' math learning motivation. This research is included in the experimental research of one group posttest-only design. The subjects of this study were students of class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Waru as many as 31 students. The results showed that the learning motivation of students in class VII-A SMP Negeri 2 Waru in the 2023/2024 school year after being given treatment was in the "high" category. This proves that the use of Wordwall media has a better impact on students' math learning motivation.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low motivation, activity, critical thinking skills of students in class V SDN Pasar Lama 1 due to one-way learning, not using concrete learning media and attracting students' attention, not applying meaningful learning activities, not applying learning models that focus on developing each indicator of critical thinking skills, there is no combination of learning models that can arouse student motivation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the increase in learning motivation, student activity, critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. This research applies Classroom Action Research (PTK) because it aims to improve the learning process to increase motivation, activity, critical thinking and learning outcomes through a solution, namely the CERPEN innovative learning model. This research was conducted in 4 meetings by implementing all stages of PTK consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class V-B SDN Pasar Lama 1, totaling 26 students consisting of 12 boys and 14 girls, in the second semester of the 2022/2023 school year. The data collected is qualitative data obtained through observations of teacher activities, student motivation, student activities, and critical thinking skills, then using quantitative data obtained by student learning outcomes through techniques obtained by individual and group written tests. Data analysis in this study used descriptive analysis techniques and analysis of the relationship between research aspects described using tables, graphs and interpretations with percentages.

Abstract

The Tanimbar Islands Regency still has a high prevalence of stunting in toddlers, so we must work together to eradicate it. According to WHO, the prevalence of stunting should not exceed 20%. According to data from the 2021 Indonesian Nutritional Status Survey (SSGI), the prevalence of stunting in toddlers is currently 25.1% in the Tanimbar Islands District, Maluku Province. The purpose of this study was to classify villages based on the indicators of the stunting service package in the Tanimbar Islands District. This research uses an analytic survey approach using secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of the Republic of Indonesia in 2022 and the Tanimbar Islands District Health Office in 2022 by utilizing the K-Means Algorithm. The stages of data analysis in this study consisted of library research, data collection, data processing, the K-Means algorithm. Furthermore, the last stage is to verify the data consisting of analysis of findings based on the theory used. At this analysis stage, the K-Means Clustering Method was also applied to classify villages in the Tanimbar Islands District based on the stunting service package. Research results based on analysis using the K-Means algorithm (Number of causes in each cluster) provide an overview of the number of clusters that enter each cluster. Cluster 1 consists of 20 villages, cluster 2 consists of 66 villages, cluster 3 consists of 1 village and cluster 4 consists of 1 village.

By immersing students in simulated real-life scenarios, role-play creates an interactive and engaging learning environment. The study intends to explore motivation and improve English speaking proficiency using role-play method. This study use qualitative with literature study. The research found that role-play activities are able to increase students' engagement, real-world language application, speaking skills, confidence, creativity, and collaborative learning, ultimately leading to enhanced motivation in learning English speaking.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of constraint factors in Indonesian learning, one of which is that teachers in teaching in class are dominated by conventional methods and assignments, still using the lecture method without being balanced with the use of models that are in accordance with the material resulting in less interesting learning, this causes one of the factors of low student learning outcomes. This study aims to see the application of the STAD model in learning the intrinsic element analysis of saga texts in class X. This research is qualitative research, using descriptive analysis. The techniques used in data collection are interviews and observations. The subjects in this study were X-3 class teachers and X-3 grade students. Based on the results of research that has been carried out shows that the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model can be applied to learning intrinsic element analysis of class X saga texts, given evidence with student learning outcomes that have obtained above average, with this learning model can make students enthusiastic when learning Indonesian.

Abstract

Translating a novel into another language is not an easy thing to do. The quality of translated novels is sometimes not as good as the original novel. This can cause readers to misunderstand the author’s meaning. Translators who are illiterate in translation techniques and unable to use them are to blame for all of these issues. Therefore, translation techniques are very important. This research analyzes the translation techniques for the novel Laba-Laba Dan Jaring Kesayangannya by Dina Begum. This study’s objective is to analyze the use of Dina Begum’s translation techniques in the novel Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White . Dina Begum translated the original English novel by Kakatua in 2021, and that is where the data came from. All the data collected was analyzed using the translation technique proposed by Molina and Albir (2002). The results of the research show that 8 translation techniques were found in Wilbur’s dialogue. The following are the percentage results for each translation technique: (1) linguistic compression occurs 16 times and represents 10%, (2) literal translation occurs 82 times and represents 51%, (3) established equivalent appears 50 times and represents 31%, (4) linguistic amplification occurs seven times and represents 4%, (5) reduction occurs once and represents 1%, (6) modulation appears four times and represents 2%, (7) calque occurs once and represents 1%, (8) particularization occurs once and represents 1%.
