Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) has become an integral part of modern life and has had a significant impact on the world of education, especially in vocational schools. Education is essentially a process for students to acquire knowledge and develop skills through learning experiences. In this study, the learning method used combines the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines with a focus on developing computer programs using micro:bit block programming to solve real-life problems. The results of the study show that the use of micro:bit as an alternative teaching method for computer science in vocational schools can improve students' creative thinking skills with an average score of 90 after treatment. This study used a pre-experimental design method with 35 subjects from the X grade of the Computer Network and Telecommunication Engineering program at SMK Negeri 1 Cirebon, using written tests and observations as data collection techniques. The use of simple and inexpensive technology products such as micro:bit can enhance learning effectiveness and help students better understand programming concepts. Therefore, micro:bit can be considered as an alternative teaching method for computer science in vocational schools.

Abstract

Tiktok application media is a medium of entertainment and information attracting many people today, so it is not surprising that people in Indonesia, including students, use the application a lot. Some phenomema and all the information available on the application can have a positive or negative impact on its users. The increasing development of technology and the emergence of social media applications on the use of mobile phones are indicated to be able to influence students' habits in daily activities. This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of the Tiktok application and the learning interests of students of the D-III Nursing Study Program, Ende Poltekkes, Ministry of Health, Kupang. This research uses a descriptive quantitative correlation research method with a cross sectional study approach with a total sample of 50 students. The results of the study obtained that there was no relationship between the use of the Tiktok online application and student interest in learning with a p value = 0.443 (p>0.05). Interest in learning can be influenced by several factors, for the use of the Tiktok application in the student environment can have a positive or negative impact on life and activities including in the learning process of each student.

Abstract

The policy on school hours is a controversial policy, where the public tends to view the policy negatively. Amid the negative response from the public, researchers have balanced assumptions to look more deeply at the positive aspects of the decision-making made by the Governor of NTT, Victor Bungtilu Laiskodat, regarding the change in school entry hours in NTT. Therefore, based on these objectives, this research needs to be carried out as a reference in analyzing and describing the policy process and decision-making approach used by a policy actor so that later he can avoid himself fromfailure in decision making.This study uses qualitative research by collecting data using literature studies both reading books and information circulating from national and local media. The object of research is also limited to decision-making actors, Governor of NTT, Viktor Laiskodat, and supporters of this policy, the Office of Education in NTT. The results of the research show that Governor Victor as a policy actor in establishing this new policy can be categorized in the science of decision making as Doing First or doing first. This is because in Indonesia it is still not customary to advance school entry hours at 05.30 WITA. The move made by Governor Victor is something that is considered new in the world of education, causing a new polemic in the public space.

Abstract

The Ministry of Education and Culture (KEMENDIKBUD) issued a Merdeka Belajar and applied the differentiated learning strategy in teaching and learning. This study investigated the effectiveness of the application of differentiated learning strategy improved student’s outcomes of English lessons in Elementary school students. The sample of this study is 20 students of phase B in Merdeka Belajar Curriculum as fourth- grade students in the Islamic elementary school of IQRA’ 2. This study used the quantitative approach, pre- experimental with one group pre-test and post-test design was used to see there was an improvement of student’ outcomes. The instrument used to collect the data were test for 20 students of phase B in Merdeka Belajar Curriculum as fourth- grade students in the Islamic elementary school of IQRA’ 2. The data was analysed using SPSS Statistic 20, the result showed that average deal after treatment of 93,5000 and 27,000 before treatment, the significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The findings revealed the differentiated learning strategy in the implementation Merdeka Belajar Curriculum improves students’ outcomes of English lessons. Therefore, in teaching and learning based on the Merdeka Belajar applied, this strategy can applicate in English lessons to increase students’ outcomes through the differentiated by content, process and product.

Abstract

Background: This study investigates illocutionary acts used by characters in Dear White People Movie  Reveal Literary Conflict between Black and White American. A drama is work of literature and it is more than the presentation human life. The theory of illocutionary act is chosen because it is used to describe how speaker should communicate something to hearer. The researcher chooses this drama because after reading the text there are kinds of illocutionary acts. The objectives of this research is to identify the types of illocutionary act used by the main characters and explain the meaning and its types of illocutionary act reveal literary conflict represented the conflict between black and white American in Dear White People movie. The research will be conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. The data of this research are speech act of  illocutionary act of reveal racism conflict from the characters’ dialog or conversation. The conclusions of this research are There are some illocutionary acts found in Dear White People movie, such as: expressives and representatives. The most using illocutionary acts is representatives. The racism in the movie Dear White People is not dissapear. The racism in this film is in the form of the regulation of housing replacement for student of Winchester.

Abstract

The implementation of the school zoning policy has generated pros and cons related to the realization of educational equality in Indonesian society, which adheres closely to Pancasila as a guide to life. This research aims to find out whether the zoning policy implemented by the Indonesian government has referred to and is in accordance with the implementation of the 5th precept of Pancasila. Furthermore, this research is a qualitative research with literature study method. The data collection technique begins with verifying by comparing the data that has been collected. After that the data is categorized and sorted according to the research focus. Then the data that has been grouped is analyzed to make a deeper interpretation related to the problems in the research conducted. Furthermore, the data is reduced by selecting more detail, detail and selectively. Then the data that has been selected is presented by conveying it through the analysis process first. After that the researcher draws conclusions based on the data analysis that has been carried out. Based on the results of the research that has been conducted, it can be concluded that (1) The zoning policy established by the government is a means of equitable distribution of the quality of education (2) The zoning policy provides opportunities for citizens to enter the nearest formal education level (3) The zoning policy as an implication of practicing the 5th precept makes every school provide quality education services without discriminating.

Abstract

Education has an important role in shaping humans to become intelligent individuals and able to create quality human resources to face today's modern life. The Independent Campus Learning Policy is an idea to develop education in a better direction by seeking to make the learning process in Higher Education more flexible. The concept of Merdeka curriculum campus Merdeka is very close to the philosophy of progressivism which gives more freedom in the field of education and emphasizes that the education curriculum is not too dense. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of the progressive philosophy of learning on the Merdeka curriculum campus Merdeka policy. The method used in this study is the method of studying literature related to education and the theory of the philosophy of progressivism. The results obtained are in the form of an analysis that the philosophy of progressivism is closely related to the Merdeka curriculum campus Merdeka policy in terms of the importance of educational progress so as to provide the best possible benefits to students through the development of interests and talents.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the Learning Together (LT) learning model on the learning outcomes of grade X students at SMK N 2 Rambah. The research method carried out in this study is Quasi Experiment by looking for influences between X and Y. the population in this study is class X students of SMK Negeri 2 Rambah totaling 33 students with sampling techniques using saturated samples of all populations into samples. The method of data collection is carried out using tests. Test the validity of the test instrument using the product moment relationship technique The prerequisite test of analysis consists of a normality test and a homogeneity test. The results of the study provide that the Learning Together (LT) learning model has a very positive effect on the learning outcomes of students at SMK N 2 Rambah.

Abstract

Implementasi pendidikan Madrasah Diniyah sangat urgen bagi pengembangan ilmu agama Islam bagi peserta didik, sehingga mampu mengamalkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library reserch dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang menghasilkan data deskriptif. Model Pendidikan Madrasah Diniyah Meunara Baro Aceh Besar: (1) Kurikulum pendidikan Madrasah Diniyah Meunara Baro Aceh Besar terdiri dari Al-Qur’an, praktik ibadah, do’a shalat, do’a sehari-hari, ilmu tauhid, ilmu fiqh, ilmu akhlak/tasawuf, dan sejarah kehidupan Rasulullah; (2) Tahapan pendidikan Madrasah Diniyah Meunara baro yaitu; tahapan awal meliputi persiapan pembelajaran (perangkat pembelajaran); tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi proses pembelajaran, dan tahapan penutup meliputi memberikan rangkuman dari proses pembelajaran; (3) Metode pendidikan Madrasah Diniyah Meunara Baro, meliputi: Metode ceramah, tanya jawab, hafalan, dan metode latihan membaca kitab Jawi. Tujuan Pendidikan Madrasah Diniyah Meunara Baro Aceh Besar yaitu: (a) Pengembangan kognitif santri; (b) Pengembangan afektif santri; (c) Pengembangan psikomotorik santri yaitu santri mampu membaca al-Qur’an, mampu mempraktikkan ibadah, menguasai bacaan do’a shalat, do’a sehari-hari dan membaca kitab Jawi

Abstract

Indonesian education requires appropriate quality improvement to meet the challenges and needs of its time and the curriculum is considered the most important part of the educational process. This study aims to find out whether the Ministry of Education and Culture policy regarding the independent curriculum is appropriate as an answer to the condition of education problems in Indonesia. This research used descriptive qualitative literature with a literature review method. This study uses 22 articles as data sources. The results of this study concluded that the independent curriculum was successful in tackling learning during the pandemic, providing hope in restoring education in Indonesia, giving teachers the widest possible space to develop their own potential and being able to improve the quality or quality of education in Indonesia in the 21st century. So that the Ministry of Education and Culture policy regarding changing the curriculum is considered appropriate.
