Abstract

The community of the dayak Jangkang tribe has long used and cultivated various kinds of plants for food needs. However, the food plants used by the dayak Jangkang community have not been scientifically identified and documented in writing. The purpose of this study is to identify and document food plants cultivated in the dayak Jangkang community. The research method used is a survey. Data collection instruments include semi-structured interview sheets and field notes. The interviewees were 10 people. The technique of determining the source is using snowball sampling. Data analysis used descriptive qualitative which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that 39 types of plants were used and cultivated by the community of the dayak Jangkang as food. The recommendation from the results of this study is that the community continues to preserve and cultivate plants in accordance with local wisdom through written customary law and village regulations so that the existence of food plants is maintained.

Abstract

This study aims to produce E-LKPD teaching materials for class X bacteria based on the Inhibitory Test of Soursop Leaf Extract (Annona muricata L) against Escherichia coli bacteria, determine the feasibility of E-LKPD and determine the student response test on bacterial material. This type of research is research and development using the Borg and Gall model (1989) with stages of potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, and design revision. The research was conducted at the University of Bengkulu and the feasibility test was carried out by validators of media experts, material experts, and practitioner experts and continued with a response test conducted by 12 students at SMAN 8 Bengkulu City, MIPA class. The teaching materials that have been compiled and developed get a validation value from material experts 90,62% with very feasible criteria, media experts 96,42% with very feasible criteria, and 100% practitioner experts with very feasible criteria and a response test of 91,51 % with very good criteria. E-LKPD can be used to test the use of biology teaching materials for class X SMA for bacteria.

Abstract

This development research aims to evaluate the validity of learning tools for the human digestive system to improve the critical thinking skills of junior high school students. Digestive system material is studied in class VIII. This development research model uses the Tessmer Model. The research was carried out for six months (July-December 2021) at SMP Negeri 1 Martapura, Banjar Regency. The research subjects to carry out validity were three experts consisting of postgraduate lecturers at Lambung Mangkurat University. The results showed that the validity of the learning device based on the results of the expert team's validation had an average score of 75% with a fairly valid category. So the learning tools can already be used in schools after being revised, and are eligible to be continued on the individual test.

Abstract

This agricultural extension aims to provide knowledge and skills in maked compost to farmers in Kalibening Village, Dukun District, Magelang Regency. In this counseling, an activity was also held to make a compost starter by the agricultural extension worker in Kalibening Village, and then it was reprocessed with vegetable waste as the basic material for compost by the 44 KKN UNS group. Compost is organic fertilizer which is the result of decomposition or decomposition of organic matter produced from the remains of living things such as plants and animals carried out by active microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi. This composting used the remaining vegetable waste in Kalibening Village, Dukun District, Magelang Regency which produced a lot of vegetable waste. based on the results of observations where it is seen that the potential of the village which produces a lot of vegetable waste, becomed the background for introducing the type of compost as a source of organic matter in farmers' gardens. The purpose of the service is to foster and direct the residents of the Kalibening Village to have the ability to make compost from vegetable waste. The conclusion of this community service is that after being given training on the proper and correct management of vegetable waste, the community can overcome the waste problems around it and it is hoped that the people of Kalibening Village could evaluate the management that has been carried out previously.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are: 1) knowing the isolation procedure cellulase enzymes contained in cow rumen fluid. 2) observing characterization of cellulase enzymes isolated from cow’s liquid rumen with variables pH, temperature, and incubation time. 3) exploring glucose from the enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose biomass on rice straw, sugarcane bagasse, rice husks, paper, and corncobs. Isolation of the enzyme was observed by employing several stages, they are dialysis stage 1, centrifugation stage 1, the purification of enzymes 40%, centrifugation stage 2, and dialysis stage 2. Glucose test results obtained by the method nelson samogyi. The specific activity of the enzyme obtained divided by the enzyme activity of cellulase enzyme protein content. Protein assay reagent used with Lowry. From this study it can be concluded that: 1). Cellulase enzymes can be obtained from the isolation of the enzyme with cellulase enzyme-making stage of the cow's rumen, dialysis stage 1, centrifugation stage 1, the purification of enzymes, centrifugation and dialysis stage 2. 2) Characterization of cellulase enzymes isolated from cow’s liquid rumen obtained pH optimum at pH 5.4 with the activity of the enzyme 311.64 µmol/ml and the specific activity of the enzyme 11.06 µmol/mg. The optimum temperature obtained maximum activity at a temperature of 39oC with the activity of the enzyme 306.35 µmol/ml and a specific activity of enzyme of 10.87 µmol/mg. The maximum incubation time of maximum activity was obtained at 60 minutes of incubation time with enzyme activity 292.90 µmol/ml and the specific activity of the enzyme 10,39 µmol/mg. 3). Test glucose levels in rice straw biomass was obtained with glucose levels 207.25 mg/ml. Sugarcane bagasse with glucose levels 193.64 mg/ml. Rice husk with glucose levels 202.96 mg/ml. Paper with glucose levels 197.64 mg/ml. Corncobs with glucose levels 230.77 mg/ml.Keywords: Cellulase enzymes, pH, Temperature, Time

Abstract

Pembelajaran biologi di Indonesia saat ini lebih terorientasi pada produk. Keberhasilan belajar diukur dari seberapa banyak siswa berhasil menghafalkan konsep, akibatnya kemampuan berpikir dan keterampilan proses sains siswa memprihatinkan. Permasalahan lainnya adalah usaha memperkecil kesenjangan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa berkemampuan akademik atas (AA) dan bawah (AB). Siswa AB dapat mencapai  mastery  layaknya siswa AA jika mereka diberi alokasi waktu belajar yang cukup. Permasalahannya, alokasi waktu belajar di sekolah uniform bagi semua siswa, akibatnya terjadi kesenjangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa AA dan AB. Model pembelajaran berbasis konstruktivis-kolaboratif  dikembangkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Prosedur pengembangan model mengacu pada Borg dan Gall sebagai berikut. 1) Analisis kebutuhan. 2) Pengembangan draf produk. 3) validasi ahli dan uji coba pengguna produk. Komponen model pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa sintaks, sistem sosial, peran dan tugas guru, sistem pendukung, dampak instruksional dan pengiring. Produk sintaks model hasil pengembangan sebagai berikut. 1) Fase I: Pengorganisasian belajar. 2) Fase II: Aktivasi konsepsi awal. 3) Fase III: Menciptakan konflik kognitif. 4) Fase IV: Pembentukan konsep secara kolaboratif. 5) Fase V: Presentasi kelas. 6) Fase VI: Tes individu. 7) Fase VII: Rekognisi tim. Hasil uji ahli dan uji kelompok kecil pengguna menyatakan produk model dalam kategori layak.  Produk model pembelajaran akan diuji melalui setting eksperimen untuk mengetahui efektivitasnya dalam memperkecil kesenjangan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan keterampilan proses sains antara siswa AA dan AB. Abstract

Critical thinking skills are less empowered in learning. Critical thinking skills can be empowered through cooperative learning. One of learning model combined with cooperative, and can potentially empower critical thinking skills are Remap TmPS (Reading Concept Map Timed Pair Share). The purpose of this study was to determined the effect of Reading-Concept Map Timed Pair Share (Remap TmPS) learning to the critical thinking skills. The research is a quasi experimental research with Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The research sample is X MIA 2 class and X MIA 3 of SMAN 2 Batu. Data obtained from the critical thinking skills that are scored with the essay test rubric critical thinking skills integrated essay test. This data analyzed using anacova test. The results showed Remap TmPS effect on students' critical thinking skills, bercause as each stage of learning gives students the opportunity to practice the skills of critical thinking.Keywords:        critical thingking skills, Remap-TmPS

Abstract

This paper presents the results of the development of understanding physics concepts test instruments and test the ability to analyze the physics teacher and vocational development of instruments that will be used in a web-assisted physics training (e-training) for vocational school physics teacher. The method used is a theoretical study, expert validation, and testing and analysis of the grain problem understanding the concept and the ability to analyze. The results are described in the narrative. The results obtained indicate that the steps in developing the instrument are: conduct training needs analysis, structuring and guide training programs, developing web-based teaching materials and teacher worksheets (LKG), develop the grain problem understanding the concept and the ability to analyze, develop observation, interview guides, questionnaires and training implementation. Once reviewed by an expert, test instruments further tested in the field in order to obtain points which meet the requirements. Tests performed on 25 SMK physics teachers in Bandung city, Cimahi and Bandung regency. Based on the results of the expert validation and test of 31 items was understanding the concept (PK) obtained 25 test items are fit for use. Abstract

Abstract-Sawdust waste in the form of post- production of oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus, Jacq. Fr.) presumably still contains a lot of short polymers of lignin derivatives can be chemically modified and becomes activated as a phenol resin adhesive laminated wood , MDF and particle board processing . Phenol resins produced with adhesive properties relative constancy is not much different would reduce dependence on the use of synthetic epoxy resin , while utilizing residual waste is wasted. In lamination technology is determined by factors other than adhesive bonded materials are also factors, gluing techniques, how to test and application materials. Characteristics of phenol resin as the adhesive is often influenced by factors fillers, developer, preservative and fire retardant materials. Abstract

Penyakit menular yang dapat dicegah dengan imunisasi sampai saat ini masih banyak terjadi di Indonesia meskipun sudah dilakukan pelaksanaan program imunisasi terhadap penyakit–penyakit yang dapat dicegah dengan imunisasi. Adapun penyakit 2 yang dapat dicegah dengan imunisasi  antara lain difteri dan campak. Menurut Badan Kesehatan Dunia pada tahun 2002, kematian akibat penyakit infeksi adalah 14,7 juta orang (25,9 %). Penduduk yang sudah menderita karier hepatitis diperkirakan sebanyak 10-25%.(1,2)  Sedangkan  Angka kematian akibat penyakit campak di negara berkembang mendekati satu kematian per seribu kasus. Di negara miskin, angka kematian berkisar 10%. Kejadian tersebut banyak dialami pada penduduk yang kurang gizi dan rendahnya perawatan kesehatan (6). Kasus campak di Indonesia masih sering terjadi meskipun telah berhasil direduksi  lebih dari 180.000 kasus di tahun 1990 menjadi sekitar 20.000 kasus di tahun 2010. Sebagai upaya mengurangi terjadinya penularan penyakit ini dilakukan pemberian imunisasi rutin dan pemberian imuisasi tahap-tahap melalui BIAS (Bulan Imuisasi Anak Sekolah)  sebagai booster dan menurunkan angka kematiannya sebesar 90 persen.(5)  Sedangkan penyakit difteri adalah  penyakit infeksi akut yang sangat menular, disebabkan oleh Corynebacterium diphtheriae yang dapat mengeluarkan racun. Di Indonesia masih terjadi kenaikan kasus terutama di daerah JawaTimur.(7) Kasus difteri pada tahun 2003 sebanyak 5 kasus, tahun 2004 sbanyak 15 kasus, tahun 2005 (33 kasus), tahun 2006 (43 kasus), tahun 2007 (86 kasus), tahun 2008 (77 kasus 11 kematian), tahun 2009 ( 140 kasus /8 kematian), tahun 2010 ( 304 kasus/21 kematian) dan tahun  2011 ( 333 kasus / 11 kematian).
