Abstract

Customer satisfaction is one of the most important aspects in the business world, especially in the service sector because it can increase customer loyalty, and create a positive image for the company and ultimately contribute to long-term success. This study was conducted at MEDCORP, a company engaged in the healthcare industry, which seeks to increase sales by improving customer service. To measure and customer satisfaction, this study uses 5 Dimensions of service quality, namely reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and direct evidence. The methods used are the IPA and KANO methods. The IPA method uses data from customers to evaluate how important each attribute is and how well the company meets those expectations. The KANO method identifies attributes that can increase customer satisfaction if added or improved. This combination provides a more comprehensive understanding of customer needs and product performance that can be used as a reference for companies in achieving the service desired by customers, so that it can increase sales and customer satisfaction. Based on the results obtained, it is known that there are 23 negative gaps, so further analysis is carried out to determine the strategy set. The author makes three types of strategies that can be implemented, namely the main, middle, and final priority strategies based on the IPA-KANO integration classification. Through this research, it is expected to be used as a consideration for business actors or managers in determining improvements in service quality through continual improvement of MEDCORP's performance so that service quality and output become better.

Abstract

Electric Vehicles (EV) are an important pathway for decarbonizing transportation and a form of renewable energy as an environmentally friendly technology to accelerate sustainable development. This is in line with the Indonesian government's target in the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) document of reducing emissions by 31.89% in 2030. This paper aims to find out the government policies in accelerating the use of EV in Indonesia, especially in the city of Medan. Semi-structured interviews were done supported by voice note recordings, data collection, and observations of informants who were directly involved in the social conditions studied, that were those from four EV dealers in Medan City and additional informants, who were consumers who already use EV and the community, who have not used an electric vehicle, but know about the existence of the electric vehicle. The result the current policy has resulted in an increase in sales of 50% -60% and the use of EV in the city of Medan by 30%. Policies such as exemption from toll fees, parking in public places, and parking spaces that are easily accessible for electric vehicle drivers are needed. Apart from that, certainty is also needed regarding the policy on entry fees and EV impor taxes, which will affect EV production, especially pricing and variation. In conclusion, the policy cannot stand alone but is supported by a 4P marketing mix strategy (price, product, place, and promotion). Keywords: Electric Vehicle (EV), Marketing Strategy, Policy Incentive, Policy Option

Abstract

Gas turbines are internal combustion engines used as a primary energy source in Gas Power Plants (PLTG). To ensure the reliability and quality of gas turbine repair outcomes, effective project management supported by employee capability and technological infrastructure is essential. This study aims to analyze the influence of employee capability and technological support on project management performance and its subsequent impact on product quality at PT Nusantara Turbin dan Propulsi. A quantitative approach was employed using a descriptive and verification research design, involving 80 research samples. The sample consisted of employees from the operations, marketing, and finance divisions involved in the FT8 gas turbine repair project. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using classical assumption tests, path analysis, t-tests, and F-tests. The results indicate that employee capability and technological support have a positive and significant effect on project management performance (Adjusted R² = 61.6%). Furthermore, the three variables—employee capability, technological support, and project management performance—also significantly influence product quality (Adjusted R² = 80%). Project management performance is proven to be a partial mediator in the relationship between internal capabilities and product quality. These findings emphasize the importance of integrated management of human resources and technological support in project execution to achieve high-quality products

Abstract

In the context of E-Learning development, E-Learning technology is part of the Information Technology Governance System in higher education institutions. Sometimes, E-Learning   implementation is carried out, but administrators do not know whether learners are studying effectively and achieving educational goals, whether the platform provides the expected added value in the learning process, and whether the quality of learning has been achieved. Therefore, accurate and effective E-Learning measurement is necessary to ensure that the implementation quality aligns with IT governance objectives in higher education institutions. One strategic approach to measurement is using the ISO 38500 framework. The strategic components of ISO 38500 can serve as the foundation for developing E-Learning measurement instruments in higher education. By utilizing these measurement instruments, organizations can identify the strengths and weaknesses of their E-Learning system, enabling continuous improvements to enhance the quality of learning materials, teaching methods, and user experience (for both lecturers and students). The E-Learning measurement instrument, developed based on ISO 38500 indicators, provides valuable data and insights for managerial decision-making. Based on the measurement results, management can make informed decisions regarding budget allocation for further development, updates or enhancements to the E-Learning platform, and the creation of new learning content or more effective training strategies.

Abstract

The increase in international trade and production automation has led to a global container traffic surge at ports, including Terminal Peti Kemas X, one of Surabaya's main domestic terminals. This situation requires more effective and efficient management of handling equipment, particularly internal trucks that link the dock and the stacking yard, to avoid congestion and operational delays. However, the loading and unloading performance and vessel service at this terminal are not optimal due to fluctuating container flows and suboptimal equipment allocation, particularly for quay cranes (QC) and internal trucks (IT). This study aims to optimize the number of internal trucks based on quay allocation and quay crane assignment tailored to the volume of containers being loaded and unloaded, using discrete event simulation as the primary approach. Performance is measured using two leading indicators: box/crane/hours (BCH) and vessel turnaround time (TRT). Under existing conditions, the BCH and TRT values are 23.43 boxes and 15.24 hours, respectively. Several improvement scenarios were developed by varying the number or ratio of quay crane and internal truck assignments, without adding new equipment. The scenario analysis found that the best scenario has a container volume configuration of 150 boxes with 2 QC and 7 IT assignments, while a container volume of 150 boxes has 2 QC and 11 IT assignments. This configuration can increase BCH to 25.33 boxes and reduce TRT to 11.82 hours. These findings indicate that this approach is practical in significantly improving system performance.

Abstract

In oligopoly markets characterized by homogeneous products, producer competition engenders intense rivalry. To prevail over the market, producers employ diverse strategies to boost sales of their respective products, with advertising being a prominent tactic. This strategy aims to augment market awareness of their offerings. This study aims to examine the competitive conduct of producers in oligopoly markets through the lens of game theory. The decision-making scheme under consideration is based on Stackelberg, wherein the leader determines the initial strategy, which the follower then matches. The results of this study indicate that large companies exhibit greater resilience in maintaining their market share compared to small companies. Predatory advertising strategies are found to be effective for companies with large market shares in keeping market dominance. However, for companies with smaller market shares, the adoption of cooperative advertising strategies is recommended to enhance product image without the risk of excessive advertising expenditures

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and improve customer satisfaction with wood pellets in Semarang by applying the CARTER method (Compliance, Assurance, Reliability, Tangibles, Empathy, and Responsiveness). A quantitative approach with an explanatory design was chosen to measure the impact of the CARTER intervention on customer perceptions. The sample consisted of 100 active wood pellet customers who were purposively selected (customers with ≥ 1 year of experience, had submitted complaints, and were willing to participate). Primary data was collected through a validated Likert scale 1–5 questionnaire (Cronbach's α gt; 0.6). The analysis included descriptive statistics, validity and reliability tests (SPSS 25). The results show that all CARTER dimensions scored an average of ≥ 4.0 on a 1–5 scale, indicating generally positive perceptions. Regression analysis revealed that Empathy and Responsiveness had the most significant impact on overall satisfaction. Based on the findings, the researcher recommends optimizing the logistics system through the use of digital platforms to improve delivery timeliness, enhancing service training focused on product expertise and quick solution capabilities, and strengthening transparency in communication regarding technical standards and environmental regulations to maintain customer trust. This study contributes theoretically by filling a research gap in the literature on customer satisfaction with wood pellets, which has primarily focused on technical production aspects. Practically, the findings offer a CARTER framework that can be adopted by wood pellet producers and distributors in Indonesia to enhance regional competitiveness and support the achievement of national renewable energy mix targets.

Abstract

Ports have an important role in the maritime transportation system but also face various obstacles and threats to different types of risks. Economic conditions and activities that tend to be complex and uncertain such as the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and geopolitics cause port development and operations to face various challenges and uncertainties.  The ASDP port of the Juata Tarakan ferry has become one of the important parts of community activities to travel from Tarakan island to the surrounding islands such as Tana Tidung and Nunukan. Various studies have been conducted to learn about the operational phases of ports, but not about the overall life cycle. In addition to operational factors, there are environmental factors that still need to be explored in order to avoid failure to distinguish the causes and consequences of risks from risk events. In this study, the process of identification, analysis, and risk mitigation is carried out using a house of risk approach to be able to identify risk events and risk causative agents. This study seeks to explore the risk that is a key component by looking for the relationship between one risk agent and another risk agent and its impact on port companies. Risk prevention actions are discussed in this study in order to be an insight to rethink port risks and design strategic management. The purpose of this study is to help port authorities, especially ASDP ferry, to develop an understanding and management approach to risk from all aspects of the life cycle of the port
