Abstract

The rate of HIV transmission from mother to baby is still very high in the world, even in Indonesia. Antiretroviral (ARV) use is the most effective treatment for preventing HIV transmission from mother to baby. However, there are many factors that make pregnant women disobedient in treatment, one of the factors is the lack of support and motivation. The method used in this study was a literature study to find out whether support and motivation had a major impact on maternal adherence in taking ARVs. The results obtained were that motivation and support from the family, especially the husband, greatly influenced the mother's adherence to using ARVs, so that support and motivation played a very important role in preventing HIV transmission from mother to child (PPIA).

Abstract

Some areas in Indonesia are still endemic areas for malaria, including Papua, Maluku, Nusa Tenggara, Sulawesi, Kalimantan and the island of Sumatra such as Bengkulu and Riau. Malaria is still a major cause of morbidity and mortality in Indonesia. Based on data from the total number of malaria cases in 2019, there were 250,644 cases, and the highest case of around 86% occurred in Papua with a total of 216,380 cases occurring. Malaria is an infectious disease caused by the Plasmodium parasite contained in the female Anopheles mosquito. The Anopheles mosquito can spread because it is influenced by several factors, namely the environment, knowledge and attitude factors, behavioral factors and others. The purpose of this study was to analyze the risk factors for malaria and its prevention measures in Indonesia. The method used is a literature review, by searching for reference literature using Google Scholar, and Research Gate. Literature articles used in the last five years (2017-2022). The results of this study indicate that the dominant risk factors for malaria transmission are the use of mosquito nets, the use of mosquito repellent, the habit of being outside the house at night, and malaria prevention measures.

Abstract

Hypertension during pregnancy is a common and leading cause of maternal death and other serious consequences during childbirth. Hypertension during pregnancy occurs in 5% of all pregnancies. Risk factors for hypertension in pregnant women include (1) the relationship between the degree and the incidence of hypertension during pregnancy, (2) the relationship between body mass index and the incidence of hypertension during pregnancy, and (3) age and the incidence of hypertension during pregnancy. Relationship of hypertension (4) History of childbirth and hypertension of pregnancy (5) History of hypertension and hypertension of pregnancy. The method used in this research is literature study by reviewing or reviewing existing information or processing research materials. The number of gestational hypertension in Indonesia is increasing and almost 30% of maternal deaths in Indonesia are caused by gestational hypertension which is one of the main causes of maternal death after bleeding in Indonesia. Pregnant women are expected to avoid risk factors that can increase the incidence of hypertension during pregnancy, and health practitioners are encouraged to help pregnant women avoid risk factors at an early age. to pregnant women. What causes high blood pressure.

Abstract

Diarrhea is one of the health problems that are often faced by the community, usually caused by microorganisms such as bacteria, parasites, viruses, and protozoa that are transmitted between individuals through the fecal-oral route. The handling of diarrhea recommended by WHO is referred to as cross-management of diarrhea by providing rehydration, zinc supplements, nutrition, antibiotics and education for parents or caregivers. The research method used is to collect several articles from the latest published journals which were then reviewed and reviewed. The purpose of this review article is to know the evaluation of the use of antidiarrheal drugs and antibiotics based on categories of inpatients in several hospitals. The results show that the prevalence of diarrhea in patients is dominated by men with an age range of 0-14 in children and the elderly over 50 years. Diarrhea can be managed by giving rehydration, zinc supplements, nutritional therapy, antibiotics, antidiarrheals, antipyretics, analgesics and antiemetics to reduce the symptoms and duration of diarrhea. Diarrhea therapy at several health facilities has shown quite good results through evaluation of drug administration through several observations including the right indication, right patient, right drug, right dose, right administration and right time of administration.

Abstract

Chest X-ray the main imaging modality for diagnosing Covid-19. An optimal radiograph is needed, so that it can be used as a support for the diagnosis of the disease. The use of digital CR can produce images easily, quickly, optimally, and can be processed as needed. However, it is possible that clinical acquisitions can result in low quality digital images. CR digital images can calculate grayscale and histogram values and can provide clues in diagnosing patients in Covid-19 cases by analyzing that values. Each covid-19 and normal group as many as 18 CXR postero-anterior projection images analyzed by quantitative analysis was conducted by measuring the mean of grayscale values and displayed histogram use ImageJ software. The result is there is a significant difference in the mean grayscale value between normal and covid-19 chest images (p<0.001). The grayscale value in the covid-19chest image (117.433±4.314) has a higher grayscale value and histograme range that is more inclined to the right than the normal chest image (65.231±3.304). Finally, histogram and grayscale values are very helpful in establishing the diagnosis of Covid-19.
