Abstract

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is a common and chronic heart condition affecting patients in various healthcare settings, including rural clinics. The purpose of this review is to discuss management of AF and its implementation in rural areas. The review employs traditional literature review methodologies through literature obtained from Google Scholar and PubMed. This literature review considers both retrospective and prospective studies, and includes guidelines from official health organizations. Based on the review, AF management often intersects with other health conditions, thus it can be a marker of stroke risk and an indicator of serious diseases. Rural areas physicians face challenges in implementing accurate diagnostics and adopting new treatments while coordinating with specialists to provide comprehensive care. Well-integrated AF management ultimately aims to simplify the treatment options and improve the quality of patient care, especially in rural areas.

Abstract

At the correct dosage, ultraviolet (UV) radiation has many positive health effects and is essential for the body. The flip side is that exposure to excessive amounts of ultraviolet light (UV) can be harmful. Repetitive exposure to UVB light causes reactive oxygen species (ROS) to be produced, reducing the production of antioxidant enzymes, increasing oxidative protein modification, and causing glycation and lipid peroxidation products to accumulate. Because of this, it's essential to take precautions to guard the skin from free radical damage and slow the aging process by employing antioxidants in various forms. In this study, rats were exposed to UVB light and then given either celery juice (Apium graveolens) or orange juice (Citrus) orally to see if it would increase the quantity of collagen in the rats. True experimentation, or study in a controlled laboratory setting, is the method of choice. Each of the three groups consisted of eight white rats, for a total of twenty-four rats. Due to their high concentrations of antioxidant components, the phytochemicals found in celery and orange juices were determined to have therapeutic potential in the study's conclusions. With a collagen density value of 3+ and a density of collagen fibers in the skin ranging from 50 to 90% per field of view, the group given orange juice had a more substantial impact on the collagen growth of rat skin tissue after exposure to UVB light compared to the group given celery juice.

Abstract

The lotus birth method of delivery is a method of delivery that does not involve clamping or cutting the umbilical cord, so the umbilical cord is left with the baby and is connected to the placenta, until the umbilical cord is dry and falls off by itself.(Sedana, 2022). This study aims to determine the clinical characteristics of pregnant women who gave birth using the lotus birth method at the Permata Bunda Maternity Clinic for the period 2012 – 2019. The location of this research is located at the Permata Bunda Maternity Clinic, Buleleng Regency, Bali Province. This type of research is descriptive observational research with a cross-sectional research design. The population used in this study were all pregnant women who gave birth using the lotus birth method at the Permata Bunda Maternity Clinic for the period June 2012 - December 2019. The sample for this study was taken using a random sampling technique that met the research inclusion criteria. The variables in this study were the patient's age, weight, gestational age, uterine fundal height, blood pressure, parity, previous delivery method, and pregnancy spacing. The data obtained will be presented using Microsoft Excel software and analyzed using the SPSS (Statistical Package For Social Science) program. The data that has been collected will be processed and presented in table form. Based on the results of research conducted regarding the characteristics of pregnant women who gave birth using the lotus birth delivery method at the Permata Bunda Maternity Clinic for the period 2012-2019, the following conclusions were obtained: from the results of this study it was found that (87.9%) of the subjects of this study were aged 20-35 years , (60.6%) multigravida, (60.6%) had a pregnancy interval of more than 1 year, (100%) gave birth vaginally, had an average body weight (64.83 kg), (100%) patients gave birth at term ( term), (78.8%) uterine fundal height according to gestational age, and (100%) normal blood pressure.

Abstract

Accidents and disasters can be caused by cultural and safety factors, as suggested by Barry Turner in his pioneering work 'Man-Made Disasters.' The implementation of safety culture is one of the crucial aspects that should be applied, especially in the workplace safety. The term safety culture began to be widely used since the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986, and interest in safety culture has continued to grow, including in Indonesia. This explanation is supported by the issuance of the Director General of Mineral and Coal Decision Number 10.K/MB.01/DJB.T/2023 (Kepdirjen Minerba 10 Year 2023) concerning Technical Guidelines for the Assessment of Mining Safety Performance, which is one of the tools to measure the maturity level of safety culture. Through Kepdirjen Minerba 10 Year 2023, the measurement of safety culture is more focused on companies engaged in the mining sector. Therefore, PT Putra Perkasa Abadi site PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PPA-BA) uses Kepdirjen Minerba 10 Year 2023 to measure the level of safety culture in Semester 2 in 2023. This measurement aims not only to assess the level of safety culture maturity within the company but also serves as a basis for developing the mining safety program in 2024. The measurement uses data collection methods such as documentation review, questionnaires, interviews, observations, focus group discussions, testing, and data analysis. The results of data collection are then averaged for each indicator and added up to obtain the safety culture maturity level. Based on the analysis, it is known that the safety culture maturity level at PPA-BA is 0.56, indicating a reactive position. The results of this assessment are used as one of the foundations for the development of the mining safety program. Previously, the development of the mining safety program only considered legal regulations.

Abstract

Elderly people with hypertension are a group that often do not comply with disease management. Psychosocial problems are one of the variables that contribute greatly to this non-compliance. In the current era of technological development, psychoeducation using Internet of Things-based media can be one of the interventions provided for the elderly. However, the use of this media has never been applied with the principle of being sensitive to changes in the elderly's sensing system, so it is necessary to explore the perceptions and experiences of health service providers for hypertensive elderly in the community. The aim of this research is to explore the perceptions of elderly health service providers in community settings regarding the implementation of education for hypertensive elderly. This research is a qualitative descriptive study involving five participants. Participants came from elements of the NCD Program, the Elderly Program and Community Health Nursing Program Coordinator at the Community Health Center as well as Community Health Workers. Data collection was carried out using the Focus Group Discussion technique and the results were analyzed thematically. The research results showed three themes: 1) Interventions Not Yet Diverse; 2) Limitations of Educational Media; 3) Technology Considerations in Elderly Education/Psychoeducation. Primary health services that create and apply Internet of Things-based psychoeducational media need to pay detailed attention to the principles and content so that they are easy to read and understand by the elderly.
