Abstract

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is an agent that can cause infection. HIV/AIDS can cause various complications that affect various parts of the body, including the skin, ears, nose and throat. This research is a Literature Review with a Narrative Review design. The type of data is data published from internationally accredited scientific journals. In total there are 8 studies published in the last 10 years (2012-2022) consisting of 1 prospective study, 5 cross sectional studies, and 2 case report studies. Human Immunodeficiency Virustargets CD4+ T lymphocyte helper cells, causing an extreme form of immune resistance with persistent depletion of CD4+ T lymphocyte helper cells. HIV infection that is left unchecked eventually develops into Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS). At this stage, the immune system cannot prevent infection, resulting in the death of the individual due to opportunistic infections. Common ear, nose, throat and skin manifestations in HIV positive patients include oral candidiasis, enlarged lymph nodes, rhinosinusitis, allergic rhinitis, enlarged lymph nodes. clear neck, enlarged adenoids, chronic suppurative otitis media, suppurative hidradenitis, lesions on the head and neck, with the most common being rhinosinusitis. Patients with chronic HIV infection without AIDS can experience oropharyngeal candidiasis, recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis, disseminated cutaneous herpes simplex. Skin manifestations such as seborrhoeic dermatitis, bacillary angiomatosis, varicella-zoster virus reactivation, and molluscum contagiosum infections are common and tend to be severe in HIV patients. The incidence of HIV infection continues to increase, and Indonesia is one of the Southeast Asian countries experiencing a high number of cases. In Indonesia, around 540,000 people live with HIV. The number of new HIV infections increased from approximately 21,511 in 2012 to 41,250 in 2016.

Pregnant women's bodies undergo structural and physiological changes that increase their chances of developing urinary tract infections. In pregnant women alone, there is a 20% incidence of urinary tract infections (UTI). Literature review with narrative review design. The results obtained were that pregnant women were more at risk of developing UTIs.Oobesity, multiparity, holding back urination, sexual relations and individual hygiene are some of the risk factors that will occurcan increase the risk of a more serious UTI.

Abstract

Hearing loss or deafness is the partial or complete inability to hear sounds in one or both ears. Hearing loss can occur at any age. The most common cause of hearing loss in the elderly is presbycusis.1 Presbycusis or known as age related hearing loss (ARHL) is a loss of hearing ability that occurs slowly with age. The method used is literature review with Narrative Review design. The results obtained in this literature are that there are 10 articles obtained with restrictions from 2020 - 2024 and in-depth analysis of the strengths and limitations of each article on the characteristics of presbyacusis has been carried out. 10 articles that discuss the characteristics of presbyacusis, 8 articles mention the characteristics of presbyacusis based on age, 8 articles mention the characteristics of presbyacusis based on gender. Based on the results of the identification and review of several in this literature review, it can be concluded that there are several characteristics of presbyacusis including age, gender and history of chronic disease. Early recognition of the diagnosis of presbyacusis is very important, because if left untreated it can have serious consequences on mental health, cognitive, and even physical health.

Abstract

Anorectal malformations (MAR) are significant congenital abnormalities in newborns, requiring early detection and prompt treatment to prevent serious complications and improve prognosis. The aim of this study is to evaluate the prevalence and incidence rate of MAR in Indonesia, identify contributing genetic and environmental factors, and assess the effectiveness of early detection methods and treatment strategies. The research method involved literature review and reference analysis of various MAR-related studies, including epidemiological studies, case reports, and experimental research. The results of the analysis show that the prevalence of MAR in Indonesia ranges from 1 in 5,000 to 1 in 7,000 live births, with risk factors including genetic mutations, exposure to teratogenic substances, and maternal medical conditions. A multidisciplinary approach and psychosocial support are essential for optimal management and improving the prognosis of infants with MAR. In conclusion, a holistic and sustainable approach is needed to address MAR, ensure accurate diagnosis, and provide comprehensive care for affected infants and families.

Abstract

One of the keys to success in breastfeeding is the mother's confidence and intention to be able to breastfeed her baby. Unfortunately, not all mothers have a calm mind or always think positively about breastfeeding their babies. If the mother is stressed and has negative thoughts, the work of the hormone oxytocin will be hampered. To overcome this, hypnobreasfeeding therapy can be done. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of hypnobreastfeeding techniques on breast milk production during the postpartum period. This type of research is quantitative using the experimental method with a two group pre-test and post-test design research design approach. The population is all postpartum mothers who have difficulty breastfeeding their children, totaling 20 people. The sampling technique for this research is to use a total sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. The results of research on breast milk production before the hypnobreastfeeding technique was carried out were mostly in the insufficient category (70%), while in the post-intervention phase, the largest distribution was in the sufficient category (75.0%). The Wilcoxon test results show a p value = 0.003, so it can be interpreted that there is a difference in the smoothness of breast milk production between before and after the hypnobreastfeeding technique. The conclusion of this research is that there is a positive influence of hypnobreasfeeding on breast milk production in postpartum mothers. It is hoped that health workers can provide services for maternal health at the clinic and can provide education on hypnobreasfeeding techniques to increase breast milk production.

The sample in this study was 37 pregnant women. Data collection uses a questionnaire. Data analysis uses univariate analysis and uses the chi square test. The research results showed that the majority of pregnant women's knowledge about hypnobirthing had sufficient knowledge as many as 19 people (51.4%) and the minority had good knowledge as many as 8 people (21.6%). Of the 19 respondents who had sufficient knowledge, the majority had a positive attitude about hypnobirthing, 16 people (43.2%), while of the 8 respondents who had good knowledge, the majority had a positive attitude, namely 8 people (21.6%). The results of the chi-square statistical test prove that there is a significant relationship between pregnant women's knowledge about hypnobirthing and pregnant women's attitudes towards hypnobirthing therapy, with a p value = 0.001 (p <0.05). The conclusion of the research is that there is a significant relationship between maternal knowledge about hypnobirthing and pregnant mothers' attitudes towards hypnobirthing therapy at the Novi Midwife Clinic in 2023
