Abstract

Acceptability is a measure of satisfaction with food and an individual's ability to finish the food served. Eating habits are one of the internal factors affecting food acceptability, while food appearance and taste are external factors. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between food appearance and taste with the acceptability of soft foods in inpatients at Pertamina Balikpapan Hospital. This observational study uses a cross-sectional method. The sample was determined using a systematic accidental sampling method and calculated using Slovin's formula, resulting in a sample size of 60 respondents. Data collection was conducted through interviews and questionnaires. Bivariate statistical analysis in this study used the Chi-square test, yielding p=0,008 for food appearance and acceptability, and p=0,122 for food taste and acceptability. The conclusion is that there is no significant relationship between food appearance and acceptability (p=0,008) and no significant relationship between food taste and acceptability (p=0,122). The results indicate that there is no correlation between food appearance and taste with patient acceptability because patients have been educated on the importance of finishing the food served in the hospital to support the healing process.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is currently still a public health problem both in Indonesia and internationally, so it has become one of the goals of sustainable health development.WHO estimates that 10 million people suffer from pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) and it caused 1.4 million deaths in 2019. Multidrug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB) is a type of tuberculosis that is resistant to at least two first-line antibiotics. This study uses the Literature Review method with a Narrative Review design to identify and summarize previously published articles regarding the clinical characteristics and radiological features of mult-drug-resistant pulmonary TB patients. From the results it was found that there was a relationship between clinical characteristics and radiological features of mult-drug-resistant pulmonary TB patients, the emergence of MDR-TB did not only indicate that the treatment strategy had failed; MDR-TB itself can be a barrier to anti-tuberculosis treatment. So clinical-radiological characteristics should always be determined where appropriately administered drugs have not reached the levels necessary to treat all mycobacterial populations, in order to modify and strengthen national programs in a timely manner, and evaluate trends in drug resistance patterns

Abstract

Fertility is closely related to the productive age of women, which is 15-49 years. A woman's education level is a critical variable in understanding variations in fertility rates, influencing their status, attitude, and outlook on life. Higher education levels result in longer schooling periods, shortening the reproductive period and reducing the number of children, and vice versa. The Family Planning Program focuses on Women of Childbearing Age (WCA) within this age range to reduce birth rates through sustained contraceptive use. This study aims to determine the relationship between education level, contraceptive use, and maternal fertility in Pasaribu Village. It employs quantitative research to test associative hypotheses using the chi-square test (X2) with a 95% confidence level. A probability sampling technique was used, with a sample size of 83 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. The results indicate a significant relationship between education level (p = 0.034), contraceptive use (p = 0.022), and maternal fertility in Pasaribu Village. The government should enhance the socialization of programs like Family Planning (FP) to reduce the economic burden on families, enabling prosperous living and positively impacting regional development. This research is crucial for the Matiti Health Center in Doloksanggul District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, to understand the impact of education and contraception on women's fertility and inform FP programs.

Abstract

In this study, we explore the success of implementing an e-prescription system in the case of electronic medical records, and the factors that influence it. The introduction explains the importance of e-prescribing in increasing the efficiency and accuracy of the treatment process in health facilities. The method used involved observations of 40 journals covering various approaches, from qualitative to quantitative, with a focus on system design, management support, staff training, technology infrastructure, user participation, system development models, evaluation and maintenance, and user perceptions. This research uses a descriptive analytical approach by collecting data from various literature sources and previous research related to the implementation of e-prescriptions. Data were analyzed to identify challenges, benefits and development strategies in the use of e-prescriptions in the context of transforming medical records from physical to electronic. The research results show that the application of e-prescriptions has the potential to improve operational efficiency, patient safety and service quality. However, there are still obstacles related to user readiness, evaluation effectiveness, and e-prescription system development that need to be overcome. The discussion highlights the need to increase user readiness, evaluate the effectiveness of using e-prescriptions, as well as system development strategies that are appropriate to technological developments and user needs. Collaboration between stakeholders is also considered important in achieving successful e-prescription implementation. Taking these findings into account, coordinated and sustainable efforts are needed to increase the use of e-prescriptions in the context of transforming medical records into electronic form. By overcoming existing challenges and implementing appropriate strategies, it is hoped that the implementation of e-prescribing can make a significant contribution in improving the quality of health services and patient safety.
