Literatify : Trends in Library Developments is an academic journal that publishes the current issues regarding library developments. The journal is a bi-annual publication that is officially organized and published by UPT Perpustakaan in collaboration with Jurusan Ilmu Perpustakaan UIN Alauddin Makassar. The journal is provided for librarians, subject analysts, library science students, information specialists, information managers, researchers who need or are interested in keeping up to date with the most recent issues and developments in libraries. We regularly publish the issues in March and September. The journal only accepts research-based papers. All submitted papers will initially review by journal editors and if it was matched with the journal scope, the paper will be then sent to our peer-reviewers. We only accept manuscripts written in Bahasa Indonesia or English.

Abstract

Introduction. As one of the supporters of learning activities whose existence we often encounter in every school, the library is intended to support teaching and learning activities. This study aims to determine the role of library facilities and infrastructure in increasing interest in visiting Taruna Bakti students.Research methods. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a case study type. Researchers conducted observations, interviews, and descriptive analysis.Analysis data. Researchers conducted data analysis through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, and verification.Results and Discussion. The Taruna Bakti Foundation library has almost met the standards for the procurement of library facilities and markets based on indicators adapted by researchers from the Regulation of the Head of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 2017 concerning National Standards for High School/Madrasah Aliyah Libraries so that the Taruna Bakti Foundation Library can make users comfortable and increase visitor visits.

Abstract

Sejak maraknya pemanfaatan internet di tengah-tengah masyarakat, sudah timbul isu bahwasanya suatu waktu tugas pustakawan dan perpustakaan tidak diperlukan lagi dikemudian hari oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode yaitu penelitian kualitatif, penelitian lapangan merupakan field research yang mempunyai karakter yaitu penelitian kulitatif. Peneliti dengan mengumpulkan data dilapangan mengenai Tantangan Perpustakaan untuk Pemustaka di Era Modern Pada Perpustakaan Universitas Potensi Utama. Pengunjung perpustakaan menginginkan Perpustakaan Universitas Potensi Utama dengan lingkungan yang sangat nyaman untuk tempat mendapatkan kenyamanan membaca dan mendapatkan informasi yang relevan sesuai dengan kebutuhan informasinya. Memperlakukan semua pelanggan dengan cara yang sama di Perpustakaan Universitas Potensi Utama. Pemustaka merupakan individu unik dengan preferensi, perasaan, dan emosi masing-masing. Dalam hal interaksi dengan penyedia layanan tidak semua pemustaka di Perpustakaan Universitas Potensi Utama bersedia menerima layanan yang seragam (standardized service). Perkembangan dunia perpustakaan menuntut para pustakawan di Perpustakaan Universitas Potensi Utama untuk menguasai penerapan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk mengelola informasi yang dibutuhkan oleh para pengunjung Perpustakaan Universitas Potensi Utama.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali peran petugas di Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) Kabupaten Maros dalam memberikan hak kebutuhan informasi kepada anak binaan serta mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam upaya ini. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode wawancara terstruktur terhadap tiga informan yang merupakan petugas LPKA Maros. Selain itu, observasi lapangan juga dilakukan untuk memahami implementasi dari peran fasilitator akses informasi yang dimainkan oleh petugas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa petugas LPKA Maros memainkan peran penting sebagai fasilitator akses informasi. Mereka menyediakan sumber belajar seperti perpustakaan, mengadakan kegiatan belajar bahasa, dan kegiatan aksara Al-Qur'an. Selain itu, mereka juga menjadi pendamping dalam proses pembelajaran, memberikan bimbingan, menjelaskan konsep-konsep, dan membantu anak binaan dalam memahami materi pendidikan.Namun, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa kendala yang dihadapi oleh petugas, termasuk sarana dan prasarana kurang memadai, terbatasnya keahlian petugas, dan kurangnya kesadaran anak binaan. Kendala-kendala ini mempengaruhi efektivitas dari peran petugas dalam memberikan hak kebutuhan informasi kepada anak binaan. Penelitian ini memiliki implikasi penting dalam konteks pengembangan pendidikan di LPKA dan lembaga serupa. Temuan penelitian ini dapat menjadi landasan untuk perbaikan praktik-praktik pendidikan yang ada dan penguatan peran petugas sebagai fasilitator akses informasi. Selain itu, pemahaman tentang kendala-kendala yang dihadapi juga dapat membantu dalam merancang strategi untuk mengatasi hambatan-hambatan tersebut sehingga hak kebutuhan informasi anak binaan dapat dipenuhi dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the effectiveness of using E-Journal subscribed to UPT Library State University of Malang for Postgraduate Students. The focus of this research is in terms of the form of use and response of Postgraduate Students to E-Journals, as well as 5 (five) indicators of effectiveness as a theoretical basis for research. In this study, data collection was carried out through interviews with descriptive qualitative research methods. The data comes from six people who are Postgraduate Students at the State University of Malang. Interview data were analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions/verification. The results of the study show that the form of using E-Journal as the main and additional reference material in fulfilling information needs to complete graduate student coursework in the form of articles, theses, and dissertation. The effectiveness of the E-Journal subscribed to by the Library of State University of Malang has not fulfilled the five indicators of effectiveness. So that Postgraduate Students at State University of Malang have not fully experienced the effectiveness of the E-Journal subscribed to by the Library of State University of Malang

Abstract

The management model of a madrasah library can serve as a reference for other madrasah libraries to ensure that their libraries can effectively fulfill their duties and functions as a source of learning for students. This research aims to uncover a library management model that includes the development of a strategic plan, collection management, and library services development at the As'Adiyah Sengkang Islamic boarding school, which is a middle-level Islamic education institution that has produced many prominent scholars and intellectuals. A total of 27 pages of interview transcripts from various library managers who volunteered as informants in this study were analyzed through qualitative research stages. The research results indicate that: The boarding school's planning meetings provide a platform for librarians to present their strategic plans, The library's vision serves as a reference for librarians in formulating their strategic plans, Purchases and alumni donations are techniques used for collection development, Textbooks and fiction books are the priorities for librarians to acquire, Love for books, service commitment, mutual understanding, and mutual respect among staffs are the fundamental principles followed by librarians in carrying out their duties. This research is limited to only Islamic boarding school libraries of As’Adiyah Sengkang and may not represent a comprehensive model for madrasah library management as a whole.

Abstract

Abstract A low reading culture can describe a country from its identity. This is all illustrated by the lack of visitors in the library, especially the school library. In this study the aim was to analyze the optimization of the role of the Xaverius 5 Belitang Senior High School library in fostering students' interest in reading. The method used is qualitative with narrative type and observation and interview techniques. The results of the research show that the Xaverius 5 Belitang High School Library is slowly starting to carry out various activities in order to increase students' interest in reading through optimizing the role of the library, namely: Mobile Reading Program, One Page Reading, and Book Reviews or reviewing book readings. Apart from that, the library also created a Library Reading Terrace, namely providing bookshelves on the library terrace. Therefore, libraries experience several obstacles in optimizing the role of the library, namely limited funds to purchase reading books, limited library space conditions, and unattractive library room design. Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang Pengaruh Kompetensi Pustakawan terhadap Kualitas Layanan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Bima dengan tujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui Bagaimana Kompetensi Pustakawan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Bima, 2) Untuk mengetahui Bagaimana Kualitas Layanan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Bima, 3) Untuk mengetahui Sejauh Mana Pengaruh Kompetensi Pustakawan Terhadap Kualitas Layanan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Bima. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, yang berlokasi di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Bima dengan menggunakan pendekatan manajerial. Pendekatan manajerial adalah sebuah pendekatan yang bersifat sistematis dan teratur dalam menyusun dan melibatkan unsur-unsur yang terpadu untuk melihat pengaruh kompetensi pustakawan terhadap kualitas layanan. Penelitian ini terdiri atas satu variabel independen dan satu variabel, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyarakat Kota Bima yang berkunjung ke perpustakaan selama penelitian berlangsung. Teknik penarikan sampel yang dipilih adalah Accidental sampling yakni teknik yang dilakukan dengan cara menentukan siapa saja yang kebetulan ditemui oleh peneliti dan dipandang tepat untuk mewakili sebuah populasi. Hasil penelitian yang didapat dari pengumpulan data melalui observasi, angket dan dokumentasi yang diolah menggunakan SPSS, diketahui bahwa Kompetensi Pustakawan memiliki pengaruh yang cukup signifikan terhadap Kualitas Layanan di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Arsip Kota Bima. Terlihat dari hasil uji regresi linear sederhana yaitu membandingkan nilai signifikansi dengan nilai probabilitas dan membandingkan nilai thitung dan ttabel. Berdasarkan nilai signifikansi: diketahui nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel X berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y. Berdasarkan nilai t: diketahui nilai t hitung sebesar 3,417 > t tabel sebesar 2,048 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel X berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y, dengan nilai persamaan regresi 0,322. Koefisien regresi tersebut bernilai positif. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah sebaiknya pelatihan dan pengembangan kepustakawanan lebih ditingkatkan lagi dari lembaga-lembaga yang membawahi setiap organisasi perpustakaan yang ada, sehingga kualitas atau kompetensi seorang pustakawan lebih di apresiasi tinggi. Selain itu diharapkan juga bagi pustakawan untuk selalu memegang teguh kode etik profesi sehingga dapat menjaga harkat dan martabat profesi pustakawan.

Abstract

The Rangkang Pustaka Reading House is an educational activity for children in North Aceh which provides a frame/hut containing books like a library and is equipped with a learning place such as an open meeting hall which can be used for all youth activities that are positive for education and self-development . Therefore, reading houses and libraries play an important role in introducing reading and writing activities from an early age. The research method used is a qualitative approach carried out objectively in the field. The types of data sources used in this research are primary and secondary data sources. The results of the research show that there is quite high motivation and facilities in the form of learning frames provided by the Rangkang Pustaka Reading House to improve literacy from an early age. This is proven by various activities carried out in terms of providing quality education-based learning and promoting lifelong learning in the form of fun, quality learning for free. However, children's awareness of participating in learning activities is still limited by time. Therefore, this has an impact on children's low literacy levels, especially in reading and writing activities. Literacy culture can develop well if children receive encouragement and motivation both from themselves and their parents, internal and external motivation.

Abstract

Born in an era of technological advancement, Generation Z is closely connected to and familiar with the digital world. Information spreads rapidly in the digital age, originating from various sources, including opinions expressed by celebrities. These opinions can easily gain widespread attention through the use of social media. However, it's important to note that such information is sometimes biased and lacks a factual basis.This can lead to a significant influence on users' decision-making processes, as they may rely on celebrity opinions. In this study, we aim to analyze how Generation Z responds to celebrity opinions when making information-related decisions. We will use the DigCom 2.0 framework, focusing on digital literacy components. We will employ a qualitative descriptive method, providing a clear description of how individuals make information-related decisions based on celebrity opinions, with the subject research being Library Science Student at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The findings indicate that information disseminated by celebrities is often regarded as opinion rather than fully trusted information. It is essential to verify such information. The level of trust depends on various factors, including the celebrity's image, background, achievements, and expertise in the subject matter. Favoritism by celebrities toward specific groups can introduce bias into the information, making it necessary to avoid unquestioned trust. Whether a celebrity is an idol or an ordinary person is not the primary factor in making information-related decisions. Instead, trust in digital capabilities plays a crucial role in decision-making compared to information provided by celebrities who may not have expertise in a particular field.Our study emphasizes the importance of information and data literacy in digital content, encompassing the search process, filtering, evaluation, and information management. These are fundamental aspects of making informed decisions based on celebrity opinions.

Abstract

Data digital merupakan sumber informasi yang sangat penting bagi pelayanan kesehatan di puskesmas. Namun, penggunaan data digital juga menimbulkan berbagai isu etik yang perlu diperhatikan, seperti privasi, keamanan, kualitas, dan tanggung jawab. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi etik penggunaan data digital di puskesmas dengan menggunakan AI Microsoft Edge Bing Chat GPT-4 sebagai alat bantu. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi ekplorasi dengan pendekatan cross seksional. Data dikumpulkan melalui pertanyaan mendalam dengan 3 variasi AI yang terdiri dari jawaban lebih Kreatif, lebih seimbang, lebih tepat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa informasi dari AI memiliki persepsi yang beragam tentang etik penggunaan data digital di puskesmas. Beberapa jawaban menganggap data digital sebagai aset yang harus dilindungi dan dimanfaatkan secara optimal, sedangkan beberapa jawaban lainnya menganggap data digital sebagai tantangan dalam penggunaan data digital, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur, sumber daya manusia, dan regulasi. AI Microsoft Edge Bing Chat GPT-4 dapat menjawab dengan baik setiap pertanyaan. Namun, AI Microsoft Edge Bing Chat GPT-4 juga menimbulkan beberapa potensi kesalahan, dan ketidakakuratan data. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya pedoman bersama dalam etik yang jelas dan komprehensif untuk penggunaan data digital di Puskesmas, serta studi ekplorasi yang lebih khusus dalam penggunaan AI Microsoft Edge Bing Chat GPT-4 untuk Etik penggunaan data digital di Puskesmas.
