Abstract

The processing industry sector, represented by the food and beverage subsector, is the driving sector of the Indonesian economy. Competition in Indonesia's food and beverage sector shows consistent performance, involving both small and large companies that dominate market activity and maintain a high sustainability index. This research aims to analyze how much-working capital influences profitability with a high sustainability index in 2022. The working capital variable is the difference between the company's current assets and liabilities. In contrast, the profitability variable is calculated through the ratio of net profit to sales the company obtains. From the population of 18 food and beverage companies with a high sustainability index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, a sample of 3 consistently performing companies was obtained for the study period. The sample selection technique employed was purposive sampling. Following data testing and selecting the preferred model, the data received will be subjected to panel data regression. The results of this research analysis provide empirical evidence that the working capital policies implemented by companies can significantly influence the profitability (ROA, ROE, EAT, and GOP) of companies in the food and beverage sector. The research substantially contributes to food and beverage industry companies by optimizing liquidity and managing working capital to improve profitability. These results can also serve as guidance for upcoming researchers investigating the factors that influence the financial performance of companies in the food and beverage sector to enhance overall profitability.

Abstract

In Indonesia, questions about audit quality often arise in connection with cases where the name of the auditor is not clearly stated. In line with the findings of the BPK audit on the loss of liquidity assistance banks, Otto Hasibuan and Sjamsul Nurasalim in Indonesia. He continued to say that the BPK was not independent in this case. Lantara conducted an investigation according to the KPK's request that they admit the incident in question. The purpose of this study is to understand how the level of expertise, reliability, and integrity of auditors relate to quality inspection at the BPK Representative office of the Riau Islands. The majority of respondents in this survey were around 40 auditors who worked at the BPK Representative Office for the Riau Islands. The technique used in Sample Sampling is Statistical Sampling using a small sample size, around 40 respondents. The primary data used, and the methods of analysis include descriptive statistics, classical hypotheses, and multiple-linear regulatory analysis used to support the previous hypothesis. The current study confirms the notion that the variable integrity has a statistically significant effect on the quality of audits at the BPK Representative Office of the Riau Islands. However, statistically there is no significant correlation between auditor work experience and accountability status at the BPK Kepri Representative Office. However, when combined, the many variables of auditor skills, integrity and honesty make a significant difference in audit quality at the BPK Representative Office of the Riau Islands. The results of the analysis show that simple variables can influence complex dependent variables by 44.6%, and independent variables can also reveal other independent variables by 55.4% outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to investigate how the utilization of the budget allocated for micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM) affects the levels of unemployment and poverty in East Java Province. This research employs a quantitative methodology with an explanatory research design. Data collection involves the use of secondary data sourced from the official website of the Department of Cooperatives and SMEs. This secondary data covers a three-year period (2020-2022) and focuses on the UMKM budget utilization across different regions within East Java Province. The analysis of this data utilizes a simple linear regression approach. In the regression analysis testing, two models were examined, namely Model 1 (UMKM Budget realization - Unemployment Rate) and Model 2 (UMKM Budget realization - Poverty Rate). The research results indicate that both the unemployment rate and poverty rate, either partially or simultaneously, do not have a significant impact on UMKM budget realization. Because the significance values obtained for both models are higher than the predetermined significance level (α= 0.05). Therefore, it is recommended that the government conduct a thorough evaluation of UMKM budget policies, strategies, and implementation to understand the factors contributing to the increase in unemployment and poverty rates in East Java Province.

Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by literature study, observation, and interviews. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that implementing good HR management can improve the quality of farmers' human resources, increasing farmers' productivity and welfare. Here are some steps that can be taken to improve the quality of farmers' human resources, namely, farmer extension programs, farmer coaching programs, introduction and training programs for applying new technology, and social assistance programs for farmers. Agriculture can become the economy's driving force through implementing these programs and realizing optimal food security. Thus, welfare improvement and poverty reduction can be realized in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

Abstract

Firm value is used as a measure of the success of the company's management in seeing future operating prospects. This is the key to building trust for investors who will invest. When investors feel that their welfare has been fulfilled, this will automatically reflect an increase in company value. Several factors can affect firm value, namely leverage, capital structure, and GCG. So this study aims to determine the significance of the influence of leverage, capital structure, and GCG on firm value. The population of this study are all mining sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. The sampling technique used the purposive sampling method. Research data is taken from secondary data in the form of annual reports and company financial reports. In testing the hypothesis using multiple regression analysis techniques using the SPSS application. The results of the study state that leverage has no significant effect on firm value, this means that the company in financing its assets does not depend on external funds. Capital structure has a significant effect on the company. With the addition of debt that has the aim of expanding the business, it will increase the share price of the company. This is also the cause of the increase in firm value. GCG has a significant effect on firm value, proving that good supervision can increase company value.
