Abstract

In recent years, online business in Indonesia has experienced rapid growth. This condition is undoubtedly supported by technological advancements and a high number of internet users. Moreover, with the change in consumer behavior leaning towards online shopping, the shift from offline to online shopping patterns has led to the closure of retail stores in Indonesia, a phenomenon also observed in several other countries. The transition from offline to online sales systems has intensified competition in the online business landscape. The fierce competition requires merchants to develop effective strategies to remain the number one choice in the hearts of consumers. By employing appropriate strategies and platforms, merchants hope to reach their target market and increase sales volume. In this context, marketing communication plays a crucial role in informing, persuading, and reminding consumers directly or indirectly about the products and brands being sold. Additionally, affiliate marketing is equally important in this strategy, promoting merchandise through online platforms and sharing profits through revenue-sharing methods. This research aims to determine the extent to which marketing communication and affiliate marketing influence the increase in sales volume. The study adopts a quantitative research approach using purposive sampling techniques. The sample consists of Shopee marketplace merchants, with data collected through the distribution of questionnaires to 100 respondents. The analysis employed is multiple linear regression, and the results show that both marketing communication and affiliate marketing have a positive and significant impact on increasing sales volume. The coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.389, indicating that 38.9% of the variation in sales volume is influenced by marketing communication and affiliate marketing, while the remaining 61.1% is attributed to unexplored external factors in this study

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of profit and cash flow on bankruptcy prediction in insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The research sample is determined through purposive sampling, with inclusion criteria for issuers that have published audited financial reports between 2017 and 2021. The collected data are processed using multiple regression analysis with SPSS 26.00. The research results indicate that profit does not significantly affect bankruptcy prediction in insurance companies. This may be attributed to the distinct characteristics of the insurance industry compared to other sectors, where profit only sometimes reflects the overall financial condition, especially when facing large claims or unpredictable risks. Conversely, cash flow significantly influences bankruptcy prediction in insurance companies. Cash flow is considered a primary indicator to assess a company's ability to meet claim payment obligations and address liquidity issues, particularly in the insurance industry, which frequently faces significant payment obligations. The conclusion of this research provides insights that a better understanding of cash flow dynamics is more relevant in predicting the bankruptcy conditions of insurance companies than profit. Practical implications of this research include emphasizing the importance of risk management, effective capital structure, and special attention to cash flow as a critical factor in maintaining insurance companies' stability and operational continuity.

F-Score is used to determine fraudulent financial statements. The research population is health sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019 - 2021. The research sample consisted of 15 companies using purposive sampling. Hypothesis testing uses logistic analysis with the eviews10 application software. This research shows that personal financial need, ineffective monitoring, change in auditor, change of board of directors, and frequent number of CEO's pictures do not significantly affect financial report fraud. In contrast, political connections have a significant effect on financial report fraud.
