Abstract

Dropshippers have a role to promote and sell company products. This research aims to reveal the dropshipping business process on the Shopee application and the use of social media Instagram and TikTok by a business actor named Anne Leather. This type of research is descriptive using qualitative methods to present all business processes from sales and ordering to delivery of goods to consumers. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques through interactive model analysis form data reduction, data presentation, and drawing up conclusions. This research shows that in this Dropship System, there are three related actors: buyers, suppliers and dropshippers. The dropshipping business process for Anne Leather's business begins with recording orders and communicating via the Shopee application and social media TikTok and Instagram. Dropshippers don't need to buy goods, don't need to carry out stock, don't need to pack and send goods, the supplier carries out all these processes. Consumers can make transactions via the Shopee application with drop shippers. Delivery of goods will occur if there is a transaction in which the consumer transfers the money to the designated bank, and the wholesaler will send the goods to the consumer. The supplier provides goods that have been agreed with the drop shipper and sends them to consumers. Thus, this dropship strategy is needed to increase sales for leather entrepreneurs and profits for intermediaries (dropshippers). Apart from that, it is easy to carry out sales transactions for consumers.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) play a strategic role in Indonesia's economic development. However, several challenges hinder their business growth, including business performance among UMKM actors. This study aims to provide a general overview of the training at Foodizz and to assess its impact on the performance of UMKM actors. The research employs a quantitative method with a descriptive and verificative approach, allowing the verification of whether the proposed hypothesis is accepted or not. This study involves 32 participants who attended the "Building a Culinary Business from Scratch" training program organized by Foodizz. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to the respondents. This research's sources and types of data involve primary data obtained through questionnaires distributed to all participants. The data analysis was conducted using various statistical techniques, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression analysis, t-tests, and the coefficient of determination, utilizing SPSS version 26. The study results show that the training program has successfully achieved its objectives. Participants demonstrated readiness to develop new ideas and a high motivation to grow their businesses. The analysis revealed that 59.2% of the variation in business performance is influenced by the training provided. At the same time, other factors, such as technology and social elements outside the scope of this study, account for 41.8%. This underscores the need for more focused and tailored training programs to meet the specific needs of UMKM and the importance of updating training programs in line with industry developments and challenges.

Abstract

Du Anyam is a social enterprise that produces and distributes woven handicrafts. From 2021 to 2023, Du Anyam consistently faced discrepancies between the actual inventory data and the records in their system which could potentially impact stock reports. This research focuses on evaluating the company’s internal control system over inventory using the COSO Internal Control Framework. The framework was selected due to its comprehensive scope. This qualitative study utilized a case study approach, collecting data through interviews, documentation, and direct observation of Du Anyam's inventory management system. The findings indicate that the internal control system over inventory at Du Anyam, based on the COSO Internal Control Framework, is less effective in three principles and ineffective in two principles. Enhancing the existing internal control system's effectiveness will necessitate several efforts, including the establishment of an audit committee, the creation of written procedures for end-to-end inventory management, and the augmentation of human resources.

Abstract

The study analyzes the efficiency levels of general insurance companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2020 to 2023 using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, specifically the input-oriented variable return to scale (VRS) model. The study uses total assets and operational expenses as input variables and premium income and claims paid as output variables. The results show that out of the 13 companies sampled, Asuransi Ramayana Tbk achieved optimal technical and scale efficiency with a lambda value of 1 throughout the 2020-2023 period. Other companies reached technical and scale efficiency but were not consistent over the four-year period. Academically, this research contributes to existing literature by adding theories on company performance efficiency using the DEA method in general insurance companies listed on the IDX. Practically, the analysis results provide insights into areas that need improvement by management to enhance efficiency. Thus, this study offers additional insights for various stakeholders to improve the performance and competitiveness of the insurance industry in the future.
