Abstract

Taxes are essential for national development, but they can also tempt companies to avoid paying their fair share. Although legal, aggressive tax avoidance raises concerns about declining tax income and hindered development. This study investigates the impact of transfer pricing, CEO tenure, and indications of fraudulent financial reporting on tax avoidance in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. This research uses a combination of quantitative, verification and descriptive approaches to determine its effect by analyzing secondary data. Utilizing panel data regression analysis, the research explores the extent to which these variables influence tax avoidance practices. Samples were obtained from 27 companies with a total of 135 observation data using purposive sampling techniques, then analyzed using panel data regression with Eviews 12 software. Partially, the findings reveal that transfer pricing has a positive effect on tax avoidance, while CEO tenure and indications of fraudulent financial reporting have no effect on tax avoidance. Empirical findings indicate that transfer pricing has a significant impact on tax avoidance behavior, while CEO tenure and indicators of fraudulent financial reporting do not exhibit substantial effects. Specifically, the results suggest that companies employ transfer pricing strategies to avoid taxes and reduce their tax burden. Additionally, the length of a CEO's tenure and the presence or absence of indicators of fraudulent financial reporting do not consistently determine whether a company engages in tax avoidance. However, all three variables simultaneously influence tax avoidance. This study contributes to the broader understanding of tax avoidance dynamics within the energy sector, providing a foundation for future research and policy formulation.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze and discuss social support on purchase intention with consumer confidence as a mediating variable for TikTok Shop consumers in Bandar Lampung City. This study uses a quantitative approach using a questionnaire for data collection. The population in this study were people in Bandar Lampung City who had made purchases through TikTok Shop. Because accurate data has not been found regarding the people of Bandar Lampung city who have made purchases through TikTok Shop, this study uses a non-probability sampling method with the sampling technique, namely purposive sampling (sampling through specific criteria and characteristics). Non-probability sampling is used with the target of the people of Bandar Lampung city who have made purchases through TikTok Shop. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that social support has a significant effect on purchase intention through consumer trust at TikTok Shop in Bandar Lampung City. Social support affects consumer trust. Trust affects purchase intention. Social support affects purchase intention. Trust mediates social support on purchase intention.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyse the effect of return on equity, current ratio, total asset turnover, dividend payout ratio and sales growth on financial distress. The population in the study were transportation companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2015 to 2021, totalling 54 companies. The sample in this study was determined using the criterian purposive sampling approach, and obtained a sample size of 13 companies. The data used in this study are secondary timeseries cross section data. The data was collected using the documentation study method. The data collected in this study were analysed using quantitative methods, which include: descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis. This study concluded that: return on equity and current ratio have a significant negative effect on financial distress, while total asset turnover, divident payout ratio and sales growth have a significant positive effect on financial distress.

Abstract

During the COVID-19 pandemic, people changed their shopping patterns to meet daily needs. One of the changes is the increase in online shopping. Both society and the business world have increasingly adapted to many changes in the post-pandemic period. Various online shopping sites have emerged, including several e-commerce platforms widely used by Indonesian society. The purpose of this research is to examine the influence of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on repurchase intention on the e-commerce platform Shopee in Pontianak through the mediating role of customer satisfaction. This research employs a quantitative method, with data collected through online questionnaires using Google Forms. The population of this study consists of consumers who have made online purchases via the Shopee e-commerce platform. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling, and 148 respondents were obtained. Data analysis was performed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with the tool SmartPLS 3.0. The results of this study show that there is an influence of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on customer satisfaction, each with values of 0.025 and 0.000, indicating significance. Additionally, there is a mediating role of customer satisfaction in the relationship between perceived usefulness and repurchase intention, with a p-value of 0.000.

Abstract

The Employee of Search and Research (SAR) Kupang Office have not accomplished the best performance. This indicated that those employees are need more training and educationto achieved their full performance. The purpose of this study was to see the role of education, training, and service quality in shaping employee performance at the Kupang Search and Rescue Office (SAR). This study used a quantitative method, with a data collection instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The data collected were then analyzed using SPSS to see the results of multiple linear regression. The results of the study showed that partially and simultaneously, education, training, and service quality had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Kupang Search and Rescue Office (SAR)

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the field of handicrafts are able to form a creative economy that can improve the welfare and economy of the community.  This research aims to examine the variables that influence the income of handicraft MSMEs in Pucang Village, Secang District. This research aims to determine and analyze the effect of business capital and labor on income with length of business as a moderating variable. The population in this research is the MSME craft center in Pucang village, Secang subdistrict, totaling 60 business actors. The samples taken in this research used observation, interview and questionnaire methods. Data were analyzed using Social Science Statistics (SPSS) version 25 by carrying out descriptive tests, classical assumption tests and tests Moderating Regression Analysis  (MRA). This research develops the results of business capital, labor, and length of business as moderating variables on income so that it can provide broader results than previous research. The results of this study show that the influence of business capital and labor has a significant effect on income, while business capital and labor which are moderated by income also have a significant effect on income. Business capital has a significant influence on income with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05.  Labor on income also has a significant influence on income with a significance value of 0.002 <0.05. Furthermore, length of business is able to moderate business capital on income with a significance value of 0.006 <0.05. Apart from that, the length of business is also able to moderate employment on income with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. In conclusion  MSMEs in Pucang Village focus on increasing business capital and workforce quality. Additionally, they should consider the strategic development of their business over time to maximize revenue, taking advantage of the moderating effects of business longevity.

Abstract

QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) is Bank Indonesia's new breakthrough in supporting people's digital lifestyle, especially in the field of commerce/buying and selling. UMart is a local mini market that has used QRIS as an alternative solution for payment transactions to increase sales transaction volume. In terms of use, conventional payment transactions are still very dominant compared to payment transactions via QRIS. The aim of this research is to analyze how the use of QRIS at UMART increases sales transactions. This research uses qualitative methods with the research object being UMART owners and customers who make transactions via QRIS. The data collection technique is purposive sampling through observation, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted at one of the UMKM in Rappang Village, namely UMART. The research results show that using QRIS at UMart can increase sales transactions by 8% because QRIS is very flexible, making the payment transaction process easier. The author suggests the need for outreach from both the government and merchants to the public so that people are interested in using QRIS educated in supporting Indonesia's digital economy in the future.

Abstract

Sambal Bakar Joeragan faces challenges in enhancing brand awareness due to low consumer awareness of the product caused by suboptimal marketing strategies. Influencer marketing was chosen as the focus of this study because it is considered one of the most effective approaches in the digital era for reaching a broader audience through the credibility and influence of social media personalities.  This research aims to provide an overview of influencer marketing and brand awareness and the impact of influencer marketing on Sambal Bakar Joeragan's brand awareness. The research method employed is quantitative, utilizing both descriptive and verification approaches. The research population consists of 944 Sambal Bakar Joeragan's Instagram followers. The sample determination uses Yount's formula with a sample size of 10% of the population, 94 respondents. The primary data used in this study were collected through questionnaires distributed and analyzed using simple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS and through stages of validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression analysis, t-tests, and determination coefficient analysis. The study results indicate that influencer marketing positively impacts the brand awareness of Sambal Bakar Joeragan, with a determination coefficient contribution of 45.2%. These findings suggest that influencer marketing effectively increases brand awareness.

Abstract

Muslim Friendly Tourism is a fast-growing tourism segment, providing facilities, services and management according to sharia principles. This concept provides satisfaction, especially for Muslim tourists, but can still be enjoyed by non-Muslim tourists. This research aims to determine the influence of Muslim Friendly Tourism on tourist satisfaction at Air Manis Beach, Padang City. The type of research is quantitative descriptive with a survey approach. The data used is primary data from tourists who visit the Air Manis Beach tourist attraction, Padang City. Data was collected through incidental sampling with a sample size of 100 tourists. Data analysis using simple regression. The results of this research show that the Muslim Friendly Tourism variable has a significant effect on the satisfaction variable of tourists who visit the Air Manis Beach tourist attraction, Padang City. Thus, the implementation of the policy is expected for the management of the Air Manis Beach tourist attraction in Padang City to improve tourist facilities and services in accordance with Islamic law.
