Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess how the financial performance of PT. Indal Aluminum Industry, Tbk. During 2016-2020 based on the Liquidity Ratio which consists of the Current Ratio, Quick Ratio and Cash Ratio. and based on the Profitability Ratio consisting of Net Profit Margin, Return on Investment and Return on Equity. The data analysis method used in this study used descriptive qualitative research methods with the aim of obtaining an overview of the company's condition. The data source used is secondary data. The population in this study is the financial statements of PT. Indal Aluminum Industry, Tbk. While the sample in this study is the financial statements of PT. Indal Aluminum Industry, Tbk. 2016- 2020 period. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that PT. Indal Aluminum Industry, Tbk. During 2016 to 2020 seen from the Liquidity Ratio based on the Current Ratio, Quick Ratio and Cash Ratio, the results of financial performance are considered poor, this is based on the results of calculations for 5 years which are still far below the industry average standard. And seen from the Profitability Ratio based on Net Profit Margin, Return on Investment and Return on Equity, it shows the results of financial performance which are considered not good, this is based on the results of calculations for 5 years which are still far below the industry average standard.

Abstract

This research finds the core relationship between self-efficacy and entrepreneur motivation in generation Y. The limit of the study was the number of respondents and also the domicile where they were located, were limited in West Java areas. The research using mixed methods, between qualitative and quantitative methods. The authors spread questionnaires to 141 respondents ages 19-45 in order to get their perspectives on their motivation to build their own enterprises, compared with their self-efficacy. The results found out that mostly their motivation mostly in moderate levels. Their preferences to have stable career rather than building own business, caused by many factors explained detail below.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has delivered uncertainty and shocks to money changers as one of growing industry in Bali’s tourism sector due to decrease in banknotes transaction obtained from foreign tourist. This study explores the challenges faced by money changers and the strategies used to survive. Using interpretive phenomenological approach, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 10 owners, directors, and managers of money changers in Bali. The findings show that various challenges faced during pandemic, including psychological, decreased turnover and transaction volume, daily rate volatility, stock management, temporary branch closures, and transformed human resource practices. Strategies used to survive the crisis, such as creating crisis team, managing capital structure and cash availability, banknotes stock management system, renewing employee contracts, marketing strategies to reach local segment, and comply with health protocols. The development of digital-based foreign exchange platform post pandemic which might be disrupt money changer industry are also discussed as future research.

Abstract

Fuel tank 36 T-120 of Refinery Unit (RU) Cilacap PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (PT KPI) was burned on Saturday, November 13, 2021. This incident happened all of sudden and unexpected because of thunder strike conjecture (natural factor). Crisis communication was handled to decrease the impacts and repair image. This research used a case study with in-depth interviews, participant observation, and secondary data as data collection methods. PT KPI was not alone at handling the crisis because PT KPI collaborated with local government, local police, and local military. Among five image repair strategies by William Benoit, PT KPI used reducing the offensiveness of the event, mortification, and corrective action strategies. Communication crisis handling of that incident can be seen as best practice when handling crisis caused by natural factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of liquidity, asset management and internal management on dividend distribution decisions with profitability as moderator variable in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses associative which shows the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The population of this study amounted to 192 Manufacturing Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017-2020 period . company and obtained a sample of 44 data from purposive sampling technique. Multiple linear regression analysis technique . The result of this research is that liquidity has an effect on dividend distribution decisions in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Asset Management Affects Dividend Distribution Decisions on Manufacturing Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Internal Management has no effect on the decision to distribute dividends to manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Profitability has no effect on the decision to distribute dividends in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Profitability is not able to moderate and strengthen the influence of liquidity, asset management and internal management on dividend distribution decisions in Manufacturing Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine and analyze the effect of lecturer competence, teaching style and work culture on student preferences for the accounting profession. with a structural equation model with the SmartPLS 3.0 analisa analysis tools. The results showed that lecturer competence, teaching style and work culture had no effect on student preferences for the accounting profession. Based on the research findings, the factors that cause lecturers are not knowing each student, lecturers are not aware of students' academic problems, lecturers are not firm in giving sanctions/punishments for students who violate regulations, lecturers do not become inspiration for a career as accountants and the environment does not encourage being accountants

Abstract

Marketing has now adopted technologies in the attempt to increase brand recognition. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies suffer, yet many even reap more profits, such as e-commerce. The purpose of this research is to figure out whether Celebrity Endorsement, Advertising Appeal, and Electronic Word of Mouth have influence towards customer’s Purchase Decision in one of popular e-commerce in Indonesia called Bukalapak. Through the non-probability sampling type, particularly purposive sampling approach, one hundred respondents are taken as samples. The method in this research is descriptive and causal, and the research type is quantitative research. The data analysis methods used are descriptive statistics, coefficient of correlation, coefficient of determination, linear regression analysis and hypothesis testing through T-Test and F-Test. The T-test shows that Celebrity Endorsement, Advertising Appeal, and Electronic Word of Mouth partially influence the Purchase Decision. The F-Test result shows that all independent variables simultaneously influence Purchase Decision. Out of all, Celebrity Endorsement has the biggest influence on Purchase Decision. The value of coefficient of determination obtained is as much as 80.6% indicating that the customer’s Purchase Decision in Bukalapak is explained by Celebrity Endorsement, Advertising Appeal, and Electronic Word of Mouth. The recommendation given is to ensure the company uses talented and well-known celebrity endorsers, design attractive and unique advertisement, and maintain satisfactory performance to encourage complimentary reviews on its platform.

Abstract

Moneylenders are likened to needs sought by traders in Parung Market as a last resort to provide capital loans. On the other hand, they are equated with moneylenders who are detrimental to traders as service users. However, on the moneylender side, it harms traders by charging high interest, which makes it a burden for traders because they have to share profits with moneylenders. This study focuses on the existence of moneylenders in trading activities at Pasar Parung and analyzes it with an Islamic economic approach. This qualitative research uses interviews, observation, and documentation data collection methods. The research results show that loan sharks at Parung Market have been going on for five years since 2013. The need for capital and the absence of a financial institution is why it exists. The mechanism for accounts receivable by loan sharks is straightforward. Applying for a loan is simple, going through a lengthy procedure. Debt repayments are made in daily instalments for four months / 120 days, with the number of instalments equal to the total loan plus 20% interest divided by 120 days. The mechanism of debt and credit carried out by moneylenders in Islam is included in usury nasi'ah. The practice of loan sharks at Parung Market violates the principles of justice, the principles of ta'awun, and the principles of mashlahah. Moneylenders practice assisting traders in meeting their material needs. However, the spiritual needs of traders are not satisfied, so the income earned does not receive the blessings of Allah

Abstract

LPD Tukad Mungga can be considered in improving and supporting the surrounding community's economy through an entire work program that is understood by all villages and indigenous villages on the island of Bali. The main goal of the Tukad Mungga Traditional Village LPD is to strengthen the economy of indigenous villages, increase the independence and welfare of indigenous villages, and maintain the resilience and sustainability of Balinese culture based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy (Parahyangan, Pawongan, and Palemahan). Analysis SOAR, loan asset ratio (LAR), loan deposit ratio (LDR), and return on equity (ROE) show that the lpd of tukad mungga indigenous village that thrives has been proven to improve the economic development of indigenous villages, increase capital and large LPD assets. Effective special strategies in the socioeconomic strengthening of indigenous villages in Bali Province have become a buffer for the growth and development of Balinese culture, providing donations and social assistance for the development of indigenous villages. Meanwhile, leadership, optimism and consistency of managers, customertrust, and IT-based services have increased the financial effectiveness of lpd tukad Mungga traditional village. This means that for back up finance, LPD is superior and chosen by customers, especially small and micro-entrepreneurs in their business when compared to formal financial institutions, so that the entrepreneurial spirit and living standards of the community can be encouraged and improved through funding from the LPD of tukad Mungga traditional village.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of (1) Leadership Style on the performance of the Pauh Sub-District Office of Padang City. (2) The work environment on the performance of the Pauh Sub-District Office of Padang City. (3) Work motivation on the performance of the Pauh Sub-District Office employees, Padang City. (4) Job satisfaction on the performance of the Pauh Sub-District Office of Padang City (5) Job satisfaction, work environment, work motivation and job satisfaction have a combined effect on the performance of the Pauh Sub-District Office of Padang City. The population in this study is all there are 70 employees of the Pauh Subdistrict Office of Padang City. Techniques for determining the number of samples taken as respondents with this technique in sampling using the total sampling technique (whole sample). Total sampling is a sampling technique where the number of samples is the same as the population (Sugiyono, 2017). The reason for taking total sampling is because according to (Sugiyono, 2017) the total population is less than 100, and the entire population is used as a research sample. This study shows that (1) Leadership styleprovide a positive influence on the performance of the Pauh District Office of Padang City employees. (2) Work environment provides a positive influence on the performance of the Pauh District Office of Padang City employees. (3) Work motivation provides a positive influence on the performance of the Pauh District Office of Padang City employees. (4) Job satisfaction provides a positive influence on the performance of the Pauh District Office of Padang City (5) Leadership style, work environment, work motivation, and job satisfaction jointly have a positive effect on the performance of the Pauh District Office employees of Padang City.
