Abstract

Communication technology facilitates information dissemination, but it also leads to information pollution. The youth, being the largest users, lacks filtering skills, making them vulnerable to false information. Teenagers in Pekanbaru City, who frequently use the internet, even though they are used to using the internet to produce and disseminate information, they may not realize false information is being spread. This research aims to look at the deep-fake experience among Pekanbaru teenagers. The method used in this research is qualitative with data collection techniques, namely interviews. The results of this study show that the media literacy experience of Pekanbaru teenagers in using the media is not for hoaxes and is at the level of technical skills of teenagers at an advanced level, critical understanding at a medium level, and communicative abilities at a medium level. In environmental factors, teenagers get it from peers and use deepfake not to produce hoaxes.

Abstract

Malocclusion is a deviation from the position of the tooth from the dental arch outside the acceptable range or normal occlusion. Malocclusion conditions require proper treatment, namely by performing orthodontic treatment. Treatment with orthodontic appliances that can produce tooth movement is expected to align the teeth to achieve esthetics, prevent malocclusion from becoming severe, and return it to a normal occlusion condition. The acceleration of orthodontic tooth movement is currently the subject of various scientific studies aimed at increasing the duration of orthodontic treatment. Purpose: Assessing currently available evidence regarding the effect of vitamin D3 in accelerating orthodontic tooth movement. Methods: The databases PubMed, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, EBSCO were searched from 2012-2023 and searched using the keywords Vitamin D, Canine Distalization, Accelerated Orthodontic Tooth Movement, Bone Remodeling. Conclusion: The majority o of the included studies reported that vitamin D3 can stimulate bone resorption by increasing osteoclast activity which results in the speed of bone resorption resulting in an increase in the speed of tooth movement and helps in stabilizing orthodontic tooth movement.

Abstract

Understanding perceptions regarding patients experiences of orthodontic treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic is important. This can describe how patients view orthodontic treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic, and in understanding the problems faced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Purpose: To explain the perceptions of orthodontic patients about the experience of orthodontic treatment during COVID-19. Methods: Descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. The number of research subjects was 47 students of pre-clinical FKG UPDM(B) who used orthodontic devices by distributing online questionnaires. Results: Based on questionnaires in this research majority of patients felt no pain (44,7%) also no discomfort (44,7%) using the orthodontic appliance. During the COVID-19 pandemic, orthodontic treatment was delayed (40,4%), and they felt needed an additional six months (31,9%). Patients communicated directly with orthodontist and performed routine checks monthly (55,3%). Patients are happy with the protocol at the clinic (51,1%). Patients prefer orthodontist to use PPE with N-95 masks when performing orthodontic treatment (80,9%). Patients feel confident about continuing orthodontic treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic (76,6%). Conclusion: Majority of orthodontic patients are optimistic about continuing orthodontic treatment during COVID-19; as many as 36 people are confident, and 11 are pretty sure.

Abstract

The study aims to delve into the social conflicts that arise post-Village Head Election (Pilkades) in Balongdowo Village, Kepohbaru District, Bojonegoro Regency. It seeks to shed light on the conflict's background, its triggers, and the subsequent social dynamics within the village. Moreover, it intends to examine the steps taken by relevant stakeholders and the local community to resolve the conflict. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the study utilizes descriptive data gathered from informants and the community's behavior. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings underscore that the conflict emerges due to the insufficient support from villagers for the village head candidate from their own community, particularly evident in Kampung Karikil, the residence of the elected candidate. The proposed resolution entails mediation with active involvement from the local community.

The type of research used is a qualitative research method with a phenomenological study approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interview and documentation methods. The results showed that the motive for using chili peppers and taro leaves as a medium for rain warding plants is a tradition of previous parents who are considered as intermediaries and not against religion. The communication process of rain deterrence rituals in the form of symbols in the form of chilies and taro leaves which are interpreted according to the nature of the two plants, namely spicy or hot and waterproof, the ritual process is accompanied by reading basmallah, shalawat and prayer. Abstract

In dentistry, we can correct malocclusion and malposition by moving the teeth with orthodontic treatment. After the orthodontic treatment is done there’ll still be a possibility of relapse. Relapse is when the teeth return to their original position before the orthodontic treatment was done. The prevalence of relapse after orthodontic treatment is still quite high. Relapse prevention can be achieved through the use of mechanical devices but, they have some limitations. Natural materials can be used as an alternative as the prevention method that can prevent the relapse from happening. Roselle extract contains chemical compounds that have the potential to prevent relapse after the orthodontic treatment is done. To observe the potential of chemical compounds in roselle flower extract as a relapse prevention method after orthodontic treatment. This research was a laboratory experiment. The research phase began with the extraction of rosella flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn), then continued with the second stage, namely the phytochemical screening of rosella flowers (Hibiscus sabdariffa Linn) using the color reaction method. The phytochemical tests showed that the roselle flower extract contains chemical compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. Conclusion: The roselle flower extract contains chemical compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, and saponins, which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, making it potentially effective in preventing relapse after orthodontic treatment.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of the E-Government program in DKI Jakarta using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model and the Kirkpatrick model. The CIPP evaluation results indicate that the E-Government program has successfully integrated various public services into a digital system aligned with the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD). The program requires ongoing investment in information technology infrastructure and training for civil servants, as well as increased participation from various government agencies and the public. The product evaluation results show improved government transparency and accountability, making it easier for the public to access public services and government policy information. The evaluation using the Kirkpatrick model shows positive results at every evaluation level, with users providing positive feedback on e-government services, increased understanding, adoption of digital services, and significant long-term impacts on operational efficiency, transparency, and public satisfaction. However, this study also identifies challenges that need to be addressed, such as technology infrastructure gaps, digital literacy among the public, and data security and privacy issues. Addressing these challenges will optimize the implementation of E-Government in DKI Jakarta and support the government's vision of an efficient, inclusive, and responsive Smart City.
