Abstract

Giving directly information from teacher resulted teacher-centered learning so that students become less active because students just sit and listen to the teacher’s explanation. Furthermore, teaching materials used have not been linked to the fact in the life. Effect this situation was student’s learning outcomes to be low. Researcher are interested to see the effect of the application share knowledge actively learning assisted by worksheet on natural science learning outcome of students of class VIII SMPN 3 Lengayang. Type of research is quasi-experimental study with a Randomized Control Group Only Design. Population of this study were student of class VIII SMPN 3 Lengayang. Sampling was used by cluster random sampling technique. The research data includes learning outcome of cognitive and affective. The research instrument is a test of learning outcomes in the cognitive and the affective domain observation sheet. Conclusion of the research is there is a significant effect of the aplication share knowledge actively learning assisted by worksheet on science physics learning outcomes of students of class VIII SMPN 3 Lengayang

Abstract

Learning media in the form of instructional videos and PowerPoint are currently being developed. Previous researchers said that the two media were good for use in physics lessons, but between the two media it was not yet known which one was good for material on Newton's Law of Gravity, Work, and Energy. Based on the explanation above learning media is important so the researcher want to do a research which purpose to compare between the use of video and Powerpoint.This study aims to determine the differences on the student learning outcomes by applying the learning video and CTL-based PowerPoint on the Newton Gravity Law and Work Energy materials at Grade X SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. This type of research was a quasi-experimental research. The research design was the Random Posttest only Control-Group Design. The population of this research was the students Grade X. A purposive sampling technique was used to take the sample of this research. The sample of this research consisted of 2 classes. This research only focused on the aspects of cognitive and psychomotor. The assessment instruments were in the form of learning outcomes test sheets and observation sheets for the aspects of psychomotor. The data obtained were analyzed by using the t test. The results showed that the mean score of the students’ competence in the aspect of cognitive of the class which used CTL-based PowerPoint learning method was higher than the class using CTL-based learning videos by using the statistical t test. It was obtained  tcount= 2,1009 and ttable = 2,0032.  The mean score of the students’ competence in the aspect of psychomotor of the class of using PowerPoint was higher than the class using the learning video. Thus, it can be concluded that there are significant differences on the student learning outcomes using the learning video and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL)-based PowerPoint of the science students Grade X of SMA Adabiah 2 Padang.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum emphasizes the improvement and balance between soft skills and hard skills. Curriculum development is done to answer the challenges of the 21st century. The Indonesian government seeks to improve student learning outcomes by developing school literacy and science learning in an integrated manner in junior high school. The real conditions in schools show that teachers still have difficulty in implementing integration between Physics, Biology and Chemistry in the learning process. This can be seen from the low student learning outcomes. One solution to this problem is to apply the Integrated Science teaching book with scientific literacy themes to digestive health in adaptive contextual learning. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of integrated science teaching books with scientific literacy on the theme of digestive health in an adaptive contextual learning model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP 7 Padang. Type of this research is a quasi experiment with Randomized Control-Group Only Design. The population of this study was all eighth grade students at Padang 7 Junior High School with a sampling technique using purposive sampling and cluster random sampling. The research instruments consisted of observation sheets for attitude aspects, written tests for knowledge aspects and performance assessment sheets for skills aspects. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and two average comparison tests. The results of the hypothesis indicate that there are differences in learning outcomes of students who use integrated science teaching books with scientific literacy on the theme of digestive health with students who do not use it. Student learning outcomes can be assessed in three aspects of learning. The three aspects are aspects of knowledge, aspects of attitude and aspects of skills. This indicates that the use of integrated science teaching books with scientific literacy on the theme of digestive health in an adaptive contextual learning model has a significant impact on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The low ability to understand the concept of learners to the material of physics causes the lack of motivation to learn learners so that the learning outcomes are low. The ability to understand the concepts of learners can be improved through one of the learning model is the inquiry learning model. For more contextual learning then integrated coastal abrasion problem. The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences, effects and contributions of integrated LKPD coastal abrasion materials to the competence of learners in the model of inquiry learning on wave materials in grade XI SMAN 2 Painan. This research type is quasi experiment with randomized control group design only design. The study population is all students of class XI MIPA SMAN 2 Painan registered in odd semester of academic year 2016/2017. Sampling of research using purposive sampling technique. The research data are data of students learning result of knowledge, attitude and skill competence and integrated LKPD value of coastal abrasion with post test instrument, attitude observation sheet, performance appraisal sheet, and LKPD assessment instrument. To know the difference of competence of learners is done two equality test equation, while to know influence and contribution of LKPD done regression and correlation test. The results showed that the experimental class knowledge aspect had mean of 82,71 and control class 77,21, experimental class attitude aspect 86,78 and control class 83,27, experimental class skill aspect 85,04 and control class 82,14. Through correlation test obtained value rhitung knowledge 0.80, attitude 0.61 and skill 0.69. LKPD's contribution to the knowledge aspect is very strong, with a contribution percentage of 64.27%. LKPD contribution to attitude aspect is strong, with contribution percentage equal to 37,71%. LKPD's contribution to the skills aspect is strong, with a contribution percentage of 48.1%

Abstract

Integrated science teaching should be implemented well in Junior High School. In addition, school literacy movement needs to be developed to improve literacy of students. But the real conditions show that the integration of science teaching material and literacy of students were still low. The solution of this problem was to use the integrated science student worksheet by integrating digital age literacy in adaptive contextual teaching model. The purpose of the research was to investigate the influence of integrated science student worksheet by integrating the digital age literacy on motion theme in our live toward the competence of grade VIII students in SMPN 15 Padang. The type of research which conducted was quasi-experimental research. The research design was randomized control-group only design. The research population was all students of grade VIII SMPN 15 Padang which registered in academic year in 2017/2018. Sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling. The samples in this research were grade VIII 5 students as the experimental group and grade VIII 7 students as the control group with the total of samples were 64 students. The research instruments consist of observation sheet to assess attitudes, test result sheet to assess knowledge, and performance assessment sheet to assess skill of student. Research data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis and comparison test. From the analysis of data can be stated that the use of Integrated science student worksheet by integrating the digital age literacy of motion theme in our life in adaptive contextual teaching model gives a significant effect on the knowledge, the attitude and the skills competences of grade VIII students in SMPN 15 Padang at 95% confidence level.

Abstract

Learning science on Junior High School emphasized in integrated form which called by Integrated Science. Based on the observations, generally teachers are still experiencing difficulties in learning a whole load of material. One of solution that can be done is to design the Integrated Science Learning Devices which includes lesson plans, handouts, and worksheets. Under these conditions, the purpose of this research is to produce learning devices and determine the validity, practicalities and effectiveness of the Integrated Science Learning Devices in science subject of Junior High School grade VII. The type of this research is Research and Development. There are two objects in this research, including the Integrated Science Learning Devices in science subjects dan 27 people of seventh grade students. The result of this research are: first, the learning devices has high validity. Second, the design of Integrated Science Learning Devices are lesson plan, handout and worksheet. Third, the learning devices are practical for student and science teacher. And last, the learning devices are proven effective to increase student learning result

Abstract

This research based low learning outcome of the student in physic subject at school. The factors of low learning outcome are less involvement of the students in learning process, so that activities and creativity of student is low. The solution alternative of this problem is involve the student through application of worksheet based on Society Technology Science in physics learning. The population of research is SMPN 18 Padang. The sample take by using Purposif Sampling technique. Abstract

The using of learning material and to apply it in the learning model to support achievement of students’ competence in the Physics subject. The learning material existed recently only contain knowledge, so they have not supported the achievement of competence overally. The other side, the learning model was still teacher-centered which caused students’ low ability in thinking and solving problems. The aim of this research is to find out the difference of students’ Physics competence by applying the learning material contains comprehensive intelligence which are implemented in two learning models, PBL and Inquiry at grade X of SMAN 4 Padang. This was a Quasi Experiment research with the Randomize Group Only Design. Samples were taken using Purposive Sampling and obtained grade X MIA 5 as the experiment class 1 and grade X MIA 7 as the experiment class 2. The data of this research includes the competence of spiritual, social, knowledge and skills. The instruments are written test for competence of knowledge, observation sheets for competence of spiritual and social, and assessment scale completed by rubric for competence of skill. The technique of data analysis was using the equivalence test of two means in the tangible degree of 0,05. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there are significant differences of students’ Physics competence by applying the learning material contains comprehensive intelligence implemented between two learning models; PBL and Inquiry at grade X of SMAN 4 Padang in two aspects; cognitive and psychomotor

Abstract

Education is a learning process for humans to be able to understand and make more critical in thinking. Contextual learning is a learning concept that can help teachers associate material taught with real-world situations and encourage students to make connections between their knowledge and application in their lives. Curriculum development conducted by the government is expected to be able to face the times, be able to overcome complex challenges and be able to apply skills and knowledge in their lives. However, the reality in school teaching materials used by students is not optimal and does not vary. The solution that can be given to overcome this problem is to make teaching materials in the form of Contextual Learning Physics Handouts. This research aims to determine the validity of Contextual Learning Physics Handouts. The steps taken in research are Research and Development (R&D). The object of research is the contextual physics learning handout on the material traveling wave, stationary, sound and light class XI SMA/ MA. The instrument used to collect data is validity sheets from experts. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis. Based on research and data analysis that has been done can be presented with research results. The average value of contextual physics learning handouts is 83.74 with very high validity criteria. So, it can be concluded that the Contextual Learning Physics Handout is at a very high level of validity.
