Abstract

The background of this research is a learning process that not optimize yet learners to form his own knowledge and this is because the learning process is still centered on the teacher, the limited teaching materials in e-modules form use of ICT as a medium of teaching or learning resources are not maximal. An alternative solution of this problem is the e-modules teaching materials in the form of structured inquiry-based modules. This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of e-module structured inquiry based on the motion and force that proper use is used for learning science. This study is a Research and Development (R & D) that uses three stages of 4-D models, define, design, and develop, whereas disseminate is not done. Data collection instruments that is used in this study was a questionnaire validation and practicalities.In developmen t stage was validated by the 6 validators, and the practicalities stage was done by two teachers and 32 students of class VIII SMPN 11 Padang. The data of the research is primary data that consists of validity data and practicalities. The datas were analyzed with the descriptive analysis in the form of a percentage. The results showed that, the feasibility of e-module structured inquiry based on motion and force for science learning in class VIII of SMP / MTs can be seen from the results of the validation test that is average value 86.4072% with very valid and the result of practicalities of teachers with the average value of 81.6667% with practical criteria, while the results of the practicalities of learners average value 84.974% with practical criteria. It can be concluded that the e-module structured inquiry based on motion and force matter for science learning in class VIII SMP / MTs are made which have very valid and practical criteria

Abstract

Graduated in formal education who have good character, good spiritual and social attitude, knowledge and skillful were needed in globalization era. In fact not all of graduated students were capable competitedzation era. This condition was caused by character value and other science didn’t integrate in learning process yet. An alternative solution to solve this problem was applied the ICT woksheet by integrating Mathematics, Science, technology, disaster, and character value (MSTDC). The purpose of this research were to determine the competency of the Physics students and to investigate the effect of ICT woksheet by integrating MSTDC to the competency of Physics students grade XI  at SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. The population of quasi experimental research were the students grade XI MIA SMAN I Lubuk Alung in the 2014/2015 academic year. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument were the test sheet for competency domain of knowledge, observation sheet for competency domain of attitude, and performance sheet for competency domain of skills. Based on the data analysis could be presented the conclusions of this research. First, there was significant differention competency of students between two sampling classes that were in same condition, except the worksheet which was used. Second, the use of ICT worksheet by integrating MSTDC gave significant effect toward Physics competency of students grade XI at SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung

Abstract

Students do not understand concepts and misconceptions occur in momentum and impulses. Less available teaching materials that can remediate misconceptions. This study aims to design cognitive conflict-based teaching materials that integrate video analysis of real experiments to improve students' conceptual understanding of momentum and impulses. This research is a development research using the Plomp model. In the preliminary research, journal analysis, interviews with physics teachers, and literature studies were conducted. At the prototyping stage, teaching materials are designed, self-evaluation is carried out, validation by 3 lecturers and one-to-one practicality test for 3 students. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis for interviews, the Aiken-V formula for validation and percentage techniques for practicality tests. The results of the preliminary research, it was found that students' understanding of concepts was low and there were still misconceptions, the unavailability of teaching materials that corrected misconceptions. The results of the prototyping stage, momentum and impulse teaching materials were designed based on four syntaxes of cognitive conflict-based learning model (CCBL Model). In the third syntax, real-experiment video analysis is integrated using the tracker program. The results of the self-evaluation showed that the teaching materials were complete with very good criteria. The results of the validation test obtained a very valid value of 0.81. The results of the practicality test obtained a very practical value of 90.27. So, the design of cognitive conflict-based teaching materials integrating video analysis of real experiments on momentum and impulses is very valid and practical in one-on-one evaluation

Abstract

Abstract — The aim of research is to investigate effect of using physics learning book in direct instruction model to the learning outcomes of students grade X SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung. Type of research is Quasi Experiment Research. As population in research is all students grade X SMAN 1 Lubuk Alung in academic year 2012/2013. The sampling technique which used was purposive sampling technique. The research sample is X1 consisting of 30 students and X2 consisting of 30 students. Data collection techniques are written test for the cognitive domain and observation for affective domain. Technique of data analysis is hypothesis testing by compare mean test on real level 0.05. Results of research showed that learning outcomes of students by using physics learning book in direct instruction model on cognitive and affective respectively 76.50 and 78.77. The use physics learning book in direct instruction model give better learning outcomes of student than didn’t use the physics learning book in direct instruction model.   Keywords — physics learning book, direct instruction model, learning outcomes, cognitive, affective

Abstract

ABSTRACTLow achievement of students competence are caused by lack of motivation for problem solving abilities of students. Problem-solving abilities on competence of knowledge is least students who are able to answer questions above the level of C3(aplication). Competence of skill is only some students who are able to problem solving with scientifi and have difficulties in solving the existing problems on teaching of  student worksheet, that affecting achievement of student competence. Student motivation in problem solving can be enhanced by learning that is contextual, authentic and close to student life that is by integrating real problem and emerging issue into student learning process. Environmental problems faced by human is the limitation of energy in fulfilling their needs, while the province of West Sumatra is one of the provinces that have the potential of geothermal energy source because it is on the path of the volcano that should be developed and educate students in energy savings. The LKS is designed to integrate geothermal energy materials using the Reasoning and Problem Solving learning model. The purpose of the study, to investigate whether there is influence and how much contribution integrated geothermal energy LKS to the achievement of student competence. The type of research is quasi experiment and randomized control group design design that the study population is X class MIA students registered in the even semester of academic year 2016/2017. The sample was taken by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument is the final test to measure knowledge competence, observation sheet, self-assessment, and peer assessment to measure attitude competence, skill competency appraisal sheet to measure skill competence, and LKS assessment sheet. The data analysis used two-point equality test, linear regression test, and correlation test.Based on the data analysis, the students' knowledge, attitude and skill in the experimental class were 89.96; 84.85; 87.21 and control classes respectively 84.96; 82.98; 82,71. From t test, obtained t count> ttable so that null hypothesis rejected and alternative hypothesis accepted. With correlation test, the contribution of geothermal energy integrated LKS is 36,40% in knowledge competence, 33,64% on attitude competence, and 54,78% on skill competence. Based on the result, it can be concluded that there is influence and contribution of integrated LKS geothermal energy material to the achievement of students' competence to real level 0,05 on temperature material, calorie and optics in class X SMAN 12 Sijunjung..

Abstract

Students competence in physics lesson are not good reachable. One of the factor cause not reaching the students competency is using learning materials that have not been functioning as supporting appropriate learning activities for students both on the aspect of spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills. The purpose of research are to determine the effect of comprehensive intelligence aspects in learning materials to the achievement of the student competency in physics lessons at grade X SMAN 3 Padang. Type of research is Quasi Experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research were the students grade X MIA SMAN 3 Padang who were registered in the 2015/2016. Sampling technique was Purposive Sampling. The data were analyzed using Chi Square test at significance level 0,05 and  degrees of freedom dk 1. Results of research show that using comperehsive intelligence aspect in learning materials has given significant effect  toward achievement of competency students knowledge in physics lessons in grade X SMAN 3 Padang, and there is no significant effect of comprehensive intelligence aspect in learning materials toward student competency in physics lessons at grade X SMAN 3 Padang to the student of spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, and skills

Abstract

Education plays an important role in improving Human Resources who can follow the development of science and technology globally, and requires people who have high skills and critical thinking. Conditions in schools have not yet implemented the guided inquiry learning model and the application of HOTS in schools is not optimal because it has not been able to improve students' high-level thinking. One solution based on observing this problem is to use HOTS-oriented worksheets using the guided inquiry model, the guided inquiry model is one of the learning models that requires students to search for and find their own knowledge. The purpose of this study is to overcome this problem by creating a HOTS-oriented worksheet in a guided inquiry model and finding out the results of validity. The research conducted is a type of research and development (R&D). Using borg and gall as the object of research is HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model. The data source of this research is the result of validation from experts including physics lecturers at FMIPA UNP as validator. Based on data analysis from research, it is very valid with an average validity value of 84.2. So the results of the study show that HOTS-oriented Student Worksheets in the guided inquiry model of the nature of physics and scientific procedures, measurements, and vectors of Class X SMA / MA have been made suitable for use in the physics learning process, because they meet the basic feasibility of the results of the experts' validation.

Abstract

The subject matter is abstract Physics lot, so it requires a contextual learning resources, but its availability is limited. One alternative to overcome this problem is the use of contextual based workbook. Type of research is quasi experimental. The population is all students in grade VIII SMPN 3 at  Payakumbuh listed in the academic year 2012/2013. Sampling was conducted through cluster random sampling technique. Data taken in the form of student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques used for the cognitive domain is a written test, while for the affective and psychomotor is the observation sheet. Analysis using t-test at the 5 % significance level. The results showed that the learning outcomes in the experimental class increased in both the cognitive, affective and psychomotor. It is believed to be a result of the treatment given, it can be concluded that there are significant contextual usage in a workbook based on the achievement of learning competencies problem based instruction Physical Science class VIII SMPN 3 at  Payakumbuh

Abstract

Today, learning resource can’t to support learning activities of student. Besided, exsperiment activities just demonstrasion in front of the class by teacher, so that learning has not been student centered. One of the learning resources that can help student activity is by using Student Worksheets or as we known as LKS. Worksheets are integrated with the scientific approach and the guided inquiry learning model.This research find the effect students worksheet which based guided inquiry to students competence of physics class X in SMAN 1 Pariaman. The type research is quasi experiment and nonequivalen control group design. The population of this research is all students grade X MIPA in SMAN 1 Pariaman that listed in 2017/2018 years . There  are three steps in this research, those are preparation, implementasion, and completion. Nontest data is is obtained from the sheet’s self assessment, sheet’s friend’s assessment and sheet’s performence in laboratorium. Test data is result of students final test. The average of the using students worksheet based guided inquiry in knowledge competence 83,42, the attitude competence is 79,53, on the skill competence is 86,31. The result of average value obtained by students can be concluded that there effect in the using of student worksheet based guided inquiry can be improve students physics competence in class X SMAN 1 Pariaman.
