Abstract

Back ground of this research are  low motivated student in science and they are competences are not satisfafied. Some reason is the lack of understanding and interest of students in science lessons is students do not dare to ask and receive only what is explained by the teacher. One alternative used to overcome this problem is to implement a learning model ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, and Satisfaction) that are expected to generate confidence and interest of the students so that arouse the curiosity of the subject matter. The research objective is  to investigate the effect in scince  learning model ARIAS of student  of  class VIII  SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lasi District Solok. Type of research is quasi-experimental research with the design of Randomized Control Group Only Design. The  population in research is  all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lasi listed in the Academic Year 2015/2016. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique. Samples were VIII.3 class as a class experiment with the number of students 20 and VIII.2 class as a class controls the number of students 18 people. The research data covers three competencies are competence of knowledge, attitude, and skills. The research instrument are achievement test for competency knowledge, observation sheets  for attitude competence, and performance assessment sheets for competency skills. Data were analyzed using t-test on the real level of 0.05. Data for the competence of knowledge, attitudes, and skills of both classes of normally distributed samples and having variances  homogenity, so do test the equality of two average by t-test. From the are  calculation results obtained tcount for knowledge competencies, namely 2.15, ie 1.83 competency attitudes, skills and competencies is 3.22 with a value table = 2.02. So it can be concluded that the value of the t-test knowledge and skills competency is outside the reception Ho while competencies are in the attitude of the reception area of Ho. The relationship between the learning model ARIAS to learning outcomes competences kwnoledge r= 0,74. Based on the results of hypothesis testing can be concluded that there is a significant impact on the application of learning models ARIAS (Assurance, Relevance, Interest, Assessment, statisfaction) towards the attainment of IPA in the aspects of knowledge and skills, but not in the aspect of the attitude student  of class VIII  of SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Lasi District Solok

Abstract

Student’s learning achievement in Physics lesson are not optimal because they are less involved in getting the concept of physics. Besides of that, models are used in learning is still not diverse and teaching materials are not yet fully used. Therefore, researchers use the Guided Inquiry learning model as an alternative to overcome boredom of students in PBM. This research is aimed to determine the effect of Guided Inquiry Learning Model Against the Achievement in 10th Grade Students of SMAN 8 Padang.This research is using a quasi-experimental design with a randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The populations were students in MIPA 1 - MIPA 5 that were taught by the same teacher with the same teaching hours at SMAN 8 Padang and registered in 2019/2020. Researcher used purposive sampling technique. Knowledge and skills competencies were used as a data research. Instrument of this research a written test with multiple choice to measure knowledge competency and a performance assessment sheet to measure skills competency. The data were analyzed by two average similarity tests. The results showed the average value of Physics learning result for knowledge competence in the experimental class is 79.69 while the control class is 76.19. Meanwhile for the skills competence of experimental class is 83.05 and the control class is 77.83. The conclusion of the research is there is a significant influence from the use of the Guided Inquiry learning model towards the achievement of Physics competence in 10th grade students of SMAN 8 Padang.

Abstract

Integrating Science, ICT, and character values in learning are important in education. The reality in schools this integration is not optimal done. Solution of this problem is applying of worksheet based ICT by integrating MSTBK in the learning of Physics. The purpose of this research is to generate worksheet for learning Physics that have good description, validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Type of this research is Research and Development (R & D). This research uses before and after design in limited testing. There are three data analysis techniques, those are validity, practicality, and effectiveness analysis. Based on product and data analysis, there are two results of this research. First, the validity of student worksheet based ICT is high with average value 80.4 and 96.39. This student worksheet consist of main menus, those are introduction, worksheets, evaluation, download, and additional menu in the form of chatting and discussion forum. Second, student worksheet based on ICT is practice and effective used in physics learning process.

Abstract

Learning Devices are devices used in the learning process. Learning tools must be able to assist students in forming competencies and character. Based on the observation of learning devices at this time can not help students in forming competencies and character well . In addition, the student activity in the learning process is still passive.  Therefore, learning tools are developed that can support the achievement of students' competencies and character. The purpose of this study is to develop Integrated Science learningmedia like lesson plans along with student worksheet based on Creative Problem Solving models with valid and practical criteria. The type of this research is Research and Development (R&D). The R&D research method used to produce certain products. The subject were students of SMPN 33 Padang grade VIII which registrated in 2019/2020 academic year and two science teachers. Based on the result of this study, the validity of this product is 80,92% with a valid of category, the practicality according to the teacher is 83,71% with very practical category, and the practicality according to the students is 84,72% with a very practical category.

Abstract

One of Unesco pillars, learning to know or learning to learn, should become the underlying principles in learning process. Students are expected to understand the concepts that they have had learned comprehensively and applied them in real world problems. But reality shows that student comprehension level is so low and there is a lot of misconceptions that exist. This study aims to elicit the effect of conflict cognitive strategy upon the comprehension level of tenth grader students in SMAN 5 Bukittinggi. This study is conducted by using pre-experimental method with one group pretest-posttest design. Data of research are collected through answer sheet equipped with modified Certainty of Response Index (CRI) technique in which students choose their answers and certainty indexes accompanied with reasons of their answers. Hypothesis testing uses Wilcoxon test with signifincane level 0.05. Since the calculated value (Zcount) is beyond the acceptance area of critical value (Ztable), it means that the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. This result brings conclusion that there is statistically difference of students’ comprehension level before the implementation of conflict cognitive strategy compared to one after the strategy has been being applied. Application of cognitive conflict strategy yields effect on students’ conceptual understanding, wherein it increase percentage of students that understand concepts and decrease percentage of students who bear misconception and those who do not know concepts.

Abstract

Media learning used by educator on now could not make learners motivated and active in learning physics. In addition, still a lot of her school who has not use worksheets learners (LKPD) appropriate for the curriculum 2013 by stressing the rendering approach. LKS used at the school limited of print and not yet interactive can make students encounter of a lab work. The completion of this problem made interactive LKPD multimedia used as a guide lab work. LKPD multimedia use lab interactive course with approach based rendering used in learning physics class x with matter a circular irregular. Research conducted including research development (research and development). In the study is done just got two stages, test validity and the praktikalitas. To feasibility study in LKPD this undergone a validity by the energy and expert who is lecturers physics teachers undergone a try limited. Objects on this research LKPD multimedia interactive. The subject of study is 3 people validator, 2 practitioner by teachers, and 14 practitioner by students. Based on the research was done on interactive LKPD multimedia there are two results. The first validation are the very valid with average 91,6%. Both results of praktikalitas by teachers are the very practical average value of 91,1%. While the praktikalitas by students are in the practical having value of 82,3%

Abstract

This research aim to produce products such mobile learning media based Android on  static fluid material is valid and practical.The type of this research is a development research This research procedure consists of seven stages including the potential and problems, data collection, product design validation design, revised design, testing product and the revision of the product. The subject of the research is that three of the lecturers as validators, two physics teachers, and 20 students. The data has been analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques. Research results are categorized as valid with the value of the average 86,64% , categorized very practical according to the teachers with the value of the average 90,33%, and categorized practical according to the students with the value of the average 85,92%.

Abstract

The human resources of Indonesia was expected having knowledge and character through the 2013 curriculum. The goal of this research were to determine validity, description, practicality, and effectiveness of the use of comprehensive teaching materials for senior high school. Kind of research was Research and Development (R & D). This study design limited testing before and after the treatment given. The object of research was a charged with comprehensive learning materials. The data collection instruments used in the form of validation sheet, test sheet practicality, effectiveness test sheet achievement test, the observation sheet spiritual values, social values observation sheets, and student skill assessment sheets. Analysis techniques of product and data were validity, practicality, effectiveness of product. Based on data analysis that has been done to that instructional materials have high validity with a value of 88,71. There were results of this research. First, design appropriate instructional materials have a structure that was a good teaching materials. Second, value practicality of teaching materials by teachers and students were 88,90 and 82,47. Abstract

This study aims were to develop a virtual reality learning kit for teaching and learning in Electromagnetic Induction and to determine the perception of the use of the VR video from the perspective of undergraduate Physics students. This research implements development research design by utilizing the ADDIE model which involves five phases which are analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Convenient sampling techniques were used in this study. A total of 35 undergraduate Physics students in their fifth and sixth semesters of study from one of the public universities in Malaysia were selected. Research instruments used are the expert validity forms and the usability questionnaires. Collected data were then analysed using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software for validity, reliability, and usability analysis. The findings of the study show that the usability instrument has high reliability with a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.898.  On the other hand, the developed virtual reality learning kits have high validity with 97.0% of the agreement for face validity and 95.1% for content validity respectively while the usability of this virtual reality learning kit is at a high level of agreement with a mean score of 3.37. This virtual reality learning kit helps students in reviewing their lessons on mobile with flexible time. Hence, this will indirectly increase students' motivation to learn the topic of electromagnetic induction in an interesting and fun environment.

Abstract

Understanding students' concepts of physics are still relatively low. This is because learning is not yet fully accompanied by practical activities, there are no guidelines in the implementation of practicum and the learning model used by teachers is less able to invite and guide students in finding and solving physics problems. To overcome these problems, researchers applied virtual laboratory worksheets through a guided inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of virtual laboratory worksheets through guided inquiry learning models towards the achievement of competency in class X of Pertiwi 1 High School Padang. This type of research is pre-experimental design with the research design of One Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population in the study was all X MIA classes at Pertiwi 1 High School in Padang academic year 2018/2019. The sample in the X MIA 3 class study was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The assessment instruments used included attitude competencies with observation sheets, knowledge competencies through written tests and skills competencies with performance sheets. Analysis of the data used is regression and correlation tests for knowledge and skills competencies and descriptive for attitude competencies. The results of this study indicate that for attitudinal competence the average student experiences an increase every week. Knowledge competency has increased after being given treatment with a percentage of its influence of 63.77%. While the skills competency percentage effect is 25.13%. So that it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the application of virtual laboratory worksheets through a guided inquiry learning model towards the competence of class X students at Pertiwi 1 High School Padang.
