Abstract

The low creative thinking skill Students SMAN 12 Padang one of the causes is the students tend to passively in the learning because of learning centered on educators. Therefore, research is done in order to give one solution by applying Problem Solving Approach Model SSCS. Learning with Problem Solving approach SSCS model enables learners to be actively involved and engage in creative thinking processes. Implementation of problem solving in learning process will stimulate and develop creative thinking skill. This research has a goal for investigate the influence of solution to problem Approach Model SSCS Against Creative Thinking Skill of Students on Matter of Equilibrium and Elasticity of Class XI SMAN 12 Padang. To achieve research objectives,We have done using quasi-experiments. The object of this research is the learner of classification XI MIA in SMAN 12 Padang register in the academic year 2017/2018. Sampling in this research based on Purposive Sampling technique. The result obtained in the form of data creative thinking skills that are seen in the results of knowledge competence. The research instrument is a final test sheet in the form of essay knowledge competence. Technique of data analysis through equality test of two mean with t test statistic on knowledge competence. After obtaining the data, the researcher sees a difference from the average creative thinking skill between the two sample classes. The experiment class has an average of 72.09. The average is higher than the control class. The control class has an average of 68.72. The result of tcount test 2,3807 with ttable 2.0003 shows thitung is outside the acceptance area of Ho, meaning that Hi is accepted, there is a significant influence of Problem Solving Model SSCS Against Creative Thinking Skill of Student on Matter of Equilibrium and Elasticity of Class XI SMAN 12 Padang at a significant level of 0.05.

Abstract

This research is grounded by poor student’s learning outcomes in physic subject; many students have not reach KKM outcome in physic subject at school. The reason is students are not involved actively in learning process, and they are bored with current learning method. Interactions in learning are only one way. Poor student’s character in learning is because there is no subject that will guide transformation of student’s character. To deal with this problem, one of the efforts is using cooperative learning type jigsaw task book (LKS) with character value. The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of cooperative learning type jigsaw LKS with character value for student’s learning outcome of physic subject in X class SMAN 1 Rao Pasaman. The type research is “quasi experimental research” with “randomized posttest only control group” which population is students in nine classes of X class SMAN1 Rao Pasaman year of school 2013/2014. Sample was collected by cluster random sampling. Research data covered three domains that are cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Research instruments are student’s grade, observation sheet of student’s affection and psychomotor. Data were analyzed by t-test. Based on data analysis, it showed that average cognitive domain in experimental classes was 82 and in control class were 77; average affection domain in experimental classes was 83.2 and in control class was 78.5; average psychomotor domain in experimental classes was 83 and in control class was 78.9. T-test in cognitive domain was thit = 3.57 and ttab = 2.00; T-test in affective domain was thit = 2.47 and ttab = 2.00; T-test in psychomotor domain was thit = 3.21 and ttab = 2.00. It means that those three domains have thit > ttab, so hypothesis is accepted in rate of 0.05. Conclusion this research is there is a significant effect of cooperative learning type jigsaw LKS with character value for student’s learning outcome of physic subject in X class SMAN 1 Rao Pasaman

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires students to have thinking skills, such as Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). One strategy to train students' higher-order thinking skills is to apply HOTS questions in the learning evaluation. Through evaluation, the teacher can determine the level of students' skills in higher-order thinking. Preliminary observations show that the Physics exam questions use in SHS in Lima Puluh Kota District have not identified whether it already contains HOTS in it. Therefore, the study conducts an analysis of the availability of HOTS on physics questions at SHS in Lima Puluh Kota District. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data population in this study are all SHS in Lima Puluh Kota District. The sample in this study is six SHS in Lima Puluh Kota District. Sampling for schools carries out using the Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling technique. The research data takes using the instrument of analysis of the questions presented and collecting data through documentation. Based on the analysis, it is found that the percentage of HOTS availability on the questions for each skill is as follows. Transfer one concept to another 19.98%, process and applying information 40.50%, find connections from different kinds of information 32.23%, use the information to solve problems 36.67%, critically examine ideas and information 8 .10%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the percentage of the availability of HOTS in physics questions for senior high schools in Lima Puluh Kota District is 27,9%, with the category of less available

Abstract

This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population data in this study were all physics textbooks for class XII high school students used by 17 schools in West Sumatra. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was the most high school physics class XII semester 1 textbook used by schools published by four different publishers. The data in this study were taken using textbook presentation instrument analysis and data collection techniques through documentation studies.The results showed that the level of CTL feasibility in class XII semester 1 physics textbooks published by book A was 69.58% with the appropriate category, then the CTL grade performance in class XII semester 1 physics textbooks published by book B was 82 , 77% with a very appropriate category, then the level of CTL implementation in physics textbooks for class XII semester 1 published by book C was 58.13% which was categorized quite appropriate, and for the level of CTL implementation in physics textbooks in class XII semester 1 published by book D is 90.68% which is categorized very accordingly. The results of the study can be used as a needs analysis in developing research on the presentation of physics textbooks in implementing CTL

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires that physics learning be carried out completely and well using a variety of learning resources. The reality in physics learning schools has not been implemented properly, teachers have not fully implemented the learning process using problem solving learning models, teachers have not used worksheets that are in accordance with the 2013 curriculum and the integration of 21st century skills students have not been fully implemented, especially critical thinking skills. One solution to this problem is to create a problem solving worksheet based on achieving critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study is to produce worksheet based on valid and practical problem solving. Research conducted includes the type of Research and Development (R&D). The object of this research is the Problem Solving Based Worksheet on wave material. The steps of this research are six stages, starting from recognizing potentials and problems, gathering information, designing products, validating products, revising products and to testing products with limited testing. The tools to collect data are validity sheets from experts and practicality sheets from physics subject teachers, as well as practicality sheets from class XI students of SMAN 3 Pariaman. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis for product validation and clarity. Based on data analysis from the research that has been done can be presented two research results. First, the worksheet based problem solving in wave material is very valid with an average value of validity of 88.45. Second, worksheet based problem solving on wave material is very practical with an average value of practicality of teachers and students of 88 and 89.44. So, it can be concluded that the worksheet based on problem solving in class XI wave material SMA / MA is very valid and very practical.

Abstract

Spelling puzzle is a simple instructional media that train thinking ability of students and improve social attitudes among learners. In using tools or instructional media needed a learning model that message to the students clearly. One of the science material of VII class Junior High School is global warming and the layers of the earth use many images in understanding the concept. Media spelling puzzle is an alternative media that can be used to understand the concept of the material. The research aimed to determine the effect of usage Spelling Puzzles with Problem Based Learning Model to Student Competency Achievement of Class VII Science on the material of global warming and layers of the earth state junior high school 12 padang. This type of research is quasi experiment with control group pretest-posttest design. The study population was all students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang 2017/2018 school year. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Research data is the learning outcomes of learners on the competence of attitudes, knowledge, and skills. From the analysis of the data for the three competencies of students obtained the following results: 1) the average value of learning outcomes in competency attitude IPA has increased continuously, 2) the average value of the results of the pretest IPA at both 65 and 62.07 grade samples and results the second posttest grade sample of 82.76 and 75.86 for knowledge competence, 3) average value of science learning outcomes in both sample classes 84.90 and 80.79 for competency skills. From Uman Whitney test, obtained p> α so that the alternative hypothesis is accepted for knowledge competency, while for the skill competencies of Uman Whitney test, obtained p<α so that the alternative hypothesis is accepted.

Abstract

Physics is an important in learning school. Physics also can foster thinking skills of learners useful to solve problems in everyday life. With this basic, learners should master the physics well. Reality shows low learning outcomes of students. One solution to the problem is an interesting teaching materials and related to everyday life, so the purpose of the study was to investigate the influence of Physics leaflets oriented contextual learning strategy for the competence of students of class X SMAN 4 Padang. The research is a form of quasi-experimental design with randomized control group. The study population was the students of class X SMAN 4 Padang in the second semester of Academic Year 2015/2016. The sample of the research use purposive sampling. Data Physics research is an achievement of competencies learners. Data Physics research is an achievement of competencies learners. Competence competence learners include attitudes , knowledge , and skills. Competence attitude is measured using observation sheets, competency knowledge using a written test and skill competencies measured using performance assessment rubric. The data obtained is converted to the value of the score and then performed a descriptive statistical analysis , normality test, homogeneity , and two comparative test average. Based on data analysis that has been done, it can be argued these results. As a result of the research is application -oriented Leaflet contextual learning strategy provides significant influence on the attitude of competence, knowledge, and skills at the level of 95 %. Therefore Leaflet physics oriented contextual learning strategy is best applied to support learning in high school Physics

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is prone to natural disasters. Natural disaster mitigation has begun to be applied in Indonesia, especially in education. Disaster mitigation education in learning can be integrated in the development of integrated teaching materials on natural disaster mitigation materials. This study aims to analyze integrated teaching materials on natural disaster mitigation materials to increase the competency of students. This research uses the meta-analysis method. The first stage is the researcher formulates the research problem, then continues by tracing the existing research that is relevant for analysis. Data collection techniques using non-test is to trace the relevant thesis documents. There are 7 thesis samples used using a purposive random sampling technique. The data in this study are in the form of a percentage increase in competency. The results of this study indicate that an increase in the competency of students after using integrated teaching materials on disaster mitigation materials.

Abstract

The alternative multimedia can support the learning process in the classroom. It can be used to reach the learning outcome, solution to support the learning process is physics online multimedia. The purpose of this research are to produce good description, a valid, a practical, and a effective online multimedia. The type of research was Research and Development (R&D). The experiment subject of this research was 24 students in grade  VIII of Junior High School 1 Padang. The instruments that used to collect of data were the validation sheet, practicability sheet, and sheet of multiple choice test. Base on the data analysis that has been done, it could be presented four research results. First, design Physics online multimedia consist of  subject matter, exercise and task, test, game, and quiz. Second, Physics online multimedia has high validity score 87.94. Three, the value of practicality Physics online multimedia according to teacher and students each other 88,50 and 78,15. Finally, physics online multimedia was effective in implementing Physics learning on grade VIII of Junior High School 1 Padang that indicated by increasing of significant learning outcome both cognitive domain and affective domain

Abstract

Physics is a subject that can change people become productive, creative, and innovative. Physics lesson require students to understand and to solve existing environmental problems in real life. The ability to think critically, creatively, collaborativelly and communicate can be developed to prepare students to face challenges in the 21st century. However, the real conditions in schools show that physics is not running optimally. In order to help the learning process, learning resources are needed. One of the learning resources needed to overcome this problem is teaching material in the form of Student Worksheet. This research is intended to know the effectiveness of worksheet based on a guided inquiry to grow the higher order thinking on parabolic motion and circular motion. The design in this research is one group pretest-posttest design. The data analysis technique by using the N-gain test and effect size. The result of this research shows that Student Worksheet effective as learning innovation based on higher order thinking skill include analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6) into a high category with N-gain 0,82. Student Worksheet effectiveness based on the results obtained using effect size of 0,83 to analyze, evaluate and create.
