Abstract

Student's interest and motivation toward physics is still low. One of the reasons is that the teaching materials used are not yet varied and the lesson model used by the teacher is less able to invite the students to find and solve the physics problem, so that the students are less interested and active in the learning that causes the low of the students. To overcome this, conducted research that aims to determine the effect of LKPD application of generative learning model on the ability of students of class XI SMAN 12 Padang. The population in pre-experimental studies with a one-shot case study design was the students of grade XI in SMAN 12 Padang enrolled in the 2017/2018 school year. In this research, experiments conducted without controlling for the variables being moderate and not preferred are. Samples in this research using purposive sampling technique. Assessment instruments used in the measurement of observation, knowledge competence in the worksheet. The data generated in this study were analyzed using regression test for knowledge and usage competence. Based on data analysis that has been done, obtained data for. In the attitude competence of students to increase every week. In the knowledge competence increases after being given treatment with percentage of influence> 18%. While the competence of teachers percentage of influence> 13%. Can be concluded that there is influence of LKPD application of generative learning model to student of class XI SMAN 12 Padang.

Abstract

Curriculum emphasizes student-centered learning process, teachers are required to guide and facilitate the students so that students are motivated to learn well in school and outside. In order to the learning process goes well we need a learning model that can support that learning. In this case web-based learning social media design can increase the activity of students in the learning process and improve good student interaction with teachers, classmates and the subject matter. That way the students can be expected to increase physical competence. The purposes of this research was to investigate the effect web based learning social media design to the competency of Physics students grade X at SMAN 1 Kubung Solok. Type of research was quasi experimental with randomized control group only design. The population in this research were the students grade X MIA SMAN I Kubung Solok who were registered in the 2014/2015 academic year. Sampling technique was Cluster Random sampling. There were three instruments in this research, those were test sheet of knowledge domain, observation sheet of attitude domain, and performance sheet of skill domain. Based on the data analysis could be presented the result of this research. First, the average value of students which use web based learning social media design  in knowledge domain, attitude domain, and skill domain were 87.52, 90.52, and 86.90 respectively. Second, the use of web based learning social media design has given significant effect toward Physics competency of students grade X SMAN 1 Kubung Solok at 0,05 signifacation level

Abstract

The expected skills in the 2013 curriculum are the ability to master technology, think critically, and have good problem solving. This certainly can be achieved by the teacher making teaching materials that are connected to ICT which contain questions with HOTS level. However, the reality that occurs in the field is that the teaching materials used by teachers are still limited to printed teaching materials that do not contain HOTS questions and lack of ICT use. Therefore, this study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of e-modules which are oriented to HOTS questions and to determine the level of validity of the e-modules. This type of research is a mixed method research or combination research. This study uses a validity test instrument that contains aspects of material substance, learning design, e-module display, software utilization, and high-level thinking (HOTS). The data obtained is then analyzed to determine the validity criteria of the e-module. Based on the research that has been done, it is concluded that the resulting e-module belongs to the very valid category with a value of 82 (%) for the first validity test and 84 (%) with a very valid category for the second validation. Based on the results of the validity test, the HOTS-oriented e-module for learning physics in heat material and kinetic theory of gas in class XI SMA / MA is feasible to be used in the learning process.

Abstract

Learning activities should be able to involved students actively in accordance with the demands in Curriculum 2013, in which the students were demanded to have some learning experiences such as observing, asking, trying or collecting information, logical reasoning or associating and communicating. One of the alternatives to improve student’s involvement is the Cycling Learning Strategy concerning to the result of Physic subject learning in grade X MIA SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. The purpose of this research is to know the Influence of Applying 7-E Model Learning Cycle with Scientific Approach to Curriculum 2013 toward the Result of Physic Subject Learning in grade X MIA SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir. Research type for this experiment is Quasi Experimental Research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. Population of research is all of grade X MIA students in SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir who registered in the year of 2014/2015. Sample taking was done by using Cluster Sampling technique. Research sample prioritized grade X MIA4 as experimental class and grade X MIA3 as control class with identical number of sampling objects. Research data included competencies of three categories namely attitude, knowledge and skills. Research instrument in the form of learning result test was done for knowledge, observation sheets were done for attitude and performance rating sheets were done for skills. Data analysis technique was using test of similarity with two averages in the real value result 0,05 According to the data of experimental result, the results of student’s learning in the category of knowledge, attitude and skills can be retrieved from each of experimental classes which shows 80,02, 84,08, 78,59 and 81,72. They were higher than the control classes that shows 71,57, 78,09, 73,44 and 76,31. So it can be concluded that the application of 7-E Model Learning Cycle with scientific approach to Curriculum 2013 have a significant influence for the result of Physic subject learning in grade X MIA SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir in category of attitude, knowledge and skills with the real value result 0,05

Abstract

This research intends to produce interactive teaching materials that has been valid and practice tested. The teaching material presents matter of physic  with scientific approach contains character values in learning matter about sound wave, light wave, and optical devices. The teaching material is developed as a solution to increase student interest in physics. This research is a research and development (R&D) type that uses Plomp development model. Plomp development model has five phases, that is preliminary investigation phase, design phase, realization/construction phase, test, evaluation and revision phase, and implementation phase. But this research uses the phases only till the test, evaluation, and revision phase. For validity and practicality test this research uses questionnaire instruments. The validity questionnaire instrument is filled by three physics major of FMIPA UNP’s lecturers as the validators. For practicality questionnaire instrument is filled by two teachers and twenty students of SMAN 8 Padang as the practitioners. Finale data of the questionnaire instrument  is analyse by using Likert scale. From validity test, the developed interactive teaching material is rated very valid with percentage average score 86,4 %. From practicality test, the developed interactive teaching material is rated very practice by teachers and students with percentage average score by teachers 93 % and percentage average score by students 82,0 %. It means that the developed interactive teaching material is proper to be used in school as learning media.

Abstract

Entering the 21st century one component of basic literacy is information literacy. At this time with various facilities and availability of facilities, and various demands that require everyone to be capable and sophisticated with information. The global era with many phenomena of information requires the ability to be able to access the information wisely. Literacy is more than just reading and writing, but includes thinking skills using knowledge sources in printed, visual, digital and auditory books. In this 21st century, this ability is called information of literacy. One of the supporting facilities that support the information in learning is teaching materials. However, teaching materials that are often used by students are printed books. In this digital era, it is very easy for us to access and use the process of non-printed teaching materials (e-books). It can also be used as textbooks that support students to increase information literacy. Therefore non-printed teaching materials (e-books) should contain information literacy to support learning. The purpose of this research is to obtain information about the scope of information literacy which are includes media literacy, technology literacy and visual literacy in e-books in circulation. This research uses descriptive research method. The research population was all material in the odd semester High School Physics e-books analyzed. The population in this research was taken all the material to be sampled. The instrument used as an observation sheet is an observation sheet containing information literacy indicators. From the five e-books analyzed based on aspect of information literacy, was obtained the results of the average suitability obtained for each e-book that is in e-book 1 has a value of 46% with a less good category.  In e-book 2 has a value of 71% with a good category. In e-book 3, it has a value of 54% with a less good category.  In e-book 4, it has a value of 48% with a less good category.  Finally in e-book 5 it has a value of 61 with a less good category.

Abstract

Science Process Skills (KPS) are skills used for experiments in solving problems, students can find their own facts in everyday life. Learning resources used by students one of them is a book, in addition to books learning resources can be from the teacher and the surrounding environment. Textbooks used by students in Physics learners can vary, Physics books used by students are not yet known which books facilitate science process skills. This study used a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, the study population was all physics textbooks for class XI Semester 2 high school published in Indonesia and used in all schools in West Sumatra. The sample of this study is the four books most widely used in West Sumatra schools, the most widely used books by schools are not yet known reasons for using them. This research instrument used the analyses whork sheet contain 10 science process skills indicators. This instrument has been tested for validity and preview to be valid. The Science Process Skills Indicator is broken down into 37 instruments, data collection techniques with document studies. The results obtained that the textbook textbook that facilitates the highest is the 2016 SP-YW book gets an average percentage score of 55.1% with the category of moderating enough, the KK-GR book gets an average percentage score of 51.5% with the category of facilitating enough , the MR-TS book gets an average percentage score of 50.9% with the category of moderately facilitating and the textbook with the lowest level of facilitating is the book written by the MK-ER getting an average percentage score of 40.1% with the category of less facilitating. So there is still a need to make books that have science process skills that are very facilitating.

low of student critical thinking skill is caused by strategy which used by teacher in learning process was not give enough chance do develop potency of student critical thinking skill, so it is difficult for student to understand physics concept and solving physics problem that needs to analyse. One of applicable strategy could used by teacher to solve this problem is aplly strategy of Problem Based Learning. The goal of this research is to investigate influence of implementation Problem Based Learning to student critical thinking skill in physics learning of XI Grader student in SMAN 5 Padangkind of this research is Quasi Experimental with design of Randomized Control is Only Design's Group . Population in this research is all of  XI IPA Grader student in SMAN 5 Padang enrolled in 2013 / 2014. Sample class is determined by Cluster Random Sampling technique. Data collecting ran by written test for cognitive aspect. Data analysis in this research using t-test on real level 0,05 for cognitive aspect. Result of this research shows student critical thinks skill on cognitive aspect. Average value of critical thinks skill in experiment class is 74,9, higher than control class which is 69,09. Hypothesis is tetsted by using t-test and acquired t count = 1,68 and t table  = 2,00. It means t computing is in accepting region Ho, therefore Hi is refused. It can be conclude that work hyphothesis “available a significant influence of implementation Problem Based Learning (PBL) to critical thinks skill of student in physics learning in grade XI at SMAN 5 Padang” rejected on real level 0,05

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires the use of diverse learning resources and can help students learn independently. Especially for physics learning that has characteristics connecting learning material with everyday contexts or contextual nature. The fact found in the field, that the learning resources used are textbooks and do not use everyday contexts. CTL-based e-modules can represent learning resources that are suitable for learning physics and help students learn independently. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in student learning outcomes using CTL-based E-modules with physics textbooks in SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study consisted of two sample classes with a total of 36 students each class. The results of the study were conducted normality test and homogeneity test, it was proven that the data of both sample classes were normally distributed and homogeneous. Two similarity tests of the average for all aspects of learning outcomes, carried out at a real level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom dk 70 for all three aspects with each ttabel is 1.9900 obtained on the knowledge aspect of thitung is 2.9977, on the attitude aspect thitung is 3.4425 and in the skill aspect thitung is 2.2901. From these results it is known that thitung> ttabel. This means that classes using CTL-based E-modules have higher learning outcomes than classes that use physics textbooks. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the average learning outcomes of the use of CTL-based E-modules in Class X students of SMA Negeri 12 Padang.

Abstract

The 21st century requires students to have various skills. The Indonesian government seeks to meet these needs through the 2013 Curriculum. In addition, the government also seeks to improve student learning outcomes through Integrated Science learning in Junior High School. The real conditions in the field indicate that the integrated science learning outcomes of students are still relatively low. One alternative solution to solve this problem is to implement an integrated science worksheet with scientific literacy. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of the application of Integrated Science Science Worksheets on Our Digestive Health Themes on the learning outcomes of Class VIII students of Junior High School  No. 25 Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with Posttest-Only Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and cluster random sampling. The instrument for collecting data in this research consisted of written test sheets for aspects of knowledge, attitude observation sheets for attitude aspects and performance assessment sheets for skills aspects. Data from the research were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a comparison of two averages. Based on the data analysis of the application of the Integrated Science Science Worksheet on Our Digestive Health Theme, we can conclude the results of the research. The results of hypothesis testing indicate that there are significant differences between the learning outcomes of students who use Integrated Science LKS and those who do not use it. This means that Integrated Science LKS has an effect on three aspects of learning outcomes of Class VIII students of Junior High School No. 25 Padang. The three aspects of learning outcomes are knowledge aspects, skill aspects, and attitude aspects. Integrated Science LKS has an influence at a 95% confidence level.
