Abstract

Learning resources used by educators in schools in the process of physics learning is still not capable of making learners become more active and independent in the learning process. Learning resources used were still in the form of regular print books and not interactive so that learning will be monotonous, learners less motivated and lazy to do the task given. The solution to this problem was to use an interactive module that has been designed. This research aimed to produce integrated interactive module guided inquiry using course lab application for business material, energy, momentum and impulse at Class X high school physics learning which is valid and practical. This research was a research development using R & D model Sugiyono. This model consiststed of 10 stages, but the research is only up to seven stages: knowing potentials and problems, gathering information, designing products, validating designs, revising designs, testing products, and revising products. Research subjects in this research are 3 validators to know the value of product validity, 2 educators, and learners in a class X SMA 6 Kerinci to know the practical value of the product. Data were analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. Based on the research which had been done, the product was produced in the form of interactive module. The research product was at very valid criterion with mean value 88,44% covering content validation aspect, presentation, graphical, and linguistic. The research product was at very practical criteria by educators with an average score of 90.77% which includes aspects of ease of use, efficiency of learning time, and benefits. The research product was also in very practical criteria by learners with an average value of 90.33% which includes aspects of ease of use of the menu, ease of use guidance, the use of multimedia, and motivation learners

Abstract

Physics learning in Curriculum 2013 requires teachers to implement all competencies. Attitude competence attaches to the knowledge competence and skill competence. Knowledge competence is obtained through the process of learning in the classroom, while the skill competence is obtained through practicum activities. The reality in school shows that not all teachers do skill competence such as practicum implementation. This is due to the lack of tools and materials and the unavailability of worksheet that has a scientific approach that can be used as orientation for practicum implementation. One solution that can be done is to develop worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT. The purpose of this research is to determine the validity and practicality of worksheet based on the virtual laboratory through ICT on the material balance of rigid body, elasticity, and static fluid in class XI SMAN 1 Padang. The type of this research  is Research and Development (R&D). The object of this research is worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT on the balance material of rigid body, elasticity, and static fluid. The instrument of data collector used is validation test and practicality test sheet. Data analysis technique used is validity test analysis and  practicality test analysis. Based on the data analysis that has been done, obtained the value of validity and  practicality of product that have been developed. This product has a validity value of 90.44. The value of product practicality according to the teacher is 88.46 whereas according to the student is 87.14. This value indicates that worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT is valid and practical use in learning.

Abstract

Handout in brochure form use mind map is one of handout that can summarize learning material in simple form, so that students easier to connect facts in learning material, students can optimum thinking skill, understand learning material and can communication or told learning material that have they studied before by teacher. The purposes of this research were producing a high validity, a practicability and an effectivly of handout in brochure form use mind map. The type of research is Research and Development (R&D). The object of research was handout in brochure form use mind map and the subject of research was  students on grade VIII in Junior High School 8 Padang. The instruments that used to collect of data were the validation sheets, practicability sheets, and learning outcome sheets. The product and data analysis techniques that used were graphic method, description statistic analysis, and compare mean test. Based on the data analysis that has been done, it could be presented three research results. First, handout in brochure form use mind map on that produced has a high validity with an average value of lecture validity result of 83.88. Second, handout in brochure form use mind map were practice that indicated by the average value of physics teachers responses is  88.86 and 85.77 to average value of students responses. Three, implementing handout in brochure form use mind map was effective in Physics learning that indicated by increasing of significant learning on grade VIII of Junior High School 8 Padang before and after used handout in significant grade 5 %.

Abstract

Learning material can support the learning process in the classroom. It can be used to reach the purpose of learning. One solution to support the learning process through physics learning materials based on website. The purpose of this research is to produce good description, validity, practicality, and effectivity of physics learning material based on Website in concept of Thermodynamics. Object of this research is physics learning material based on website in concept of Thermodynamics and second grade students of  Senior High School. The instruments are used to collect the data in this research are: validity sheet, practicality sheet, and learning outcome test sheet. There are four result of this research based on analyze of the data. First, Physics learning materials based on website has high validity score 83.54. Second, design Physics learning material based on website consist of introduction, competence, objectives, contents, competence test, evaluation, reference, chat and forum. Third, the value of practicality of Physics learning material based on website according to teacher and students each other  89,51 and 75,89. Finally, Physics learning material based on website in concept of Thermodynamics effectives to increase learning outcomes of students. Abstract

Curriculum 2013 requires science learning in junior high school is implemented in an integrated with the integration in learning. The facts found in integrated IPA learning schools and the integration of literacy in learning are not in accordance with the demands and student learning outcomes are still in the low category. One solution to this problem is the use of integrated IPA teaching the wave theme in a digital literacy-filled life. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the application of integrated IPA Instruction materials wave theme in the life of digital literacy filled with the results of students learning class VIII SMPN 8 Padang.The type of research used is quasi experiment with nonquivalent control group research design with postes only. The study population is all students of class VIII SMPN 8 Padang. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling and random cluster sampling. The sample in this research is keslas VIII B as experimental class and class VIII H as control class. Instrument for knowledge aspect in the form of written test sheet, attitude aspect in the form of observation sheet, and skill aspect in the form of performance appraisal sheet. Research data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, two comparison test average.Based on the results of data analysis can be expressed research results that the use of teaching materials IPA integrated wave theme in the life of literacy digital era gives a meaningful effect on student learning outcomes that include aspects of knowledge, skills aspects and attitude aspects at the level of 95% confidence. From the results of the research data it can be concluded that the teaching materials of IPA integrated wave themes in the life of iterated digital era in an effective scientific approach for use in integrated science learning.

Abstract

Low competence of Physics students due to some factors; the lack of teachers’ concerns about students’ basic knowledge, the teachers are not common to reveal the real problems happened in the students’ environment, the learning material used have not based on the scientific approach, and the using of ICT has not been maximal yet. The aim of this research was to find out one solution of the problems above by using learning material based on scientific approach through ICT by applying PBL model which the purpose is to improve the students’ Physics competence at grade X of SMA N 10 Padang. This was a Queasy Experiment research with Factorial Design 2 X 2. The population was the students of grade X MIA in SMA N 10 Padang which registered at the Academic Year of 2015/2016. Samples were taken by using Purposive Sampling. The instruments are observation formats for competence of attitudes, post-test for competence of knowledge, and assessment rubric for competence of skill. The data obtained were analyzed by using graphical analysis for the competence of attitudes, two directions of variant analysis for the competence of knowledge and skill. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there are significant differences of using learning material based on scientific approach through ICT by applying PBL model towards the students’ competence of attitudes, knowledge and skill at the significant degree of 95%.

Abstract

Learning outcomes in students Physics subject is not as expected, because students' mastery of Physics material is still lacking. Besides that the learning model used is still not varied and teaching materials have not been fully used. Therefore, researchers used the Handout-Based Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of a Problem Based Learning (PBL) Assisted Handout Model on the Physics Competence of Students in Class X MIPA SMAN 2 Kota Solok. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design with a randomized control group only design. The study population was all students of class X MIPA SMAN 2 Solok City registered in 2018/2019. The research sample was taken using purposive sampling technique. Research data is student learning outcome data on attitude competency, knowledge competency, and skill competency. The research instrument used was an observation sheet to measure attitude competency, a final test to measure knowledge competence, and a performance assessment sheet to measure competency skills. The research data were analyzed by two average similarity tests. The average similarity test of two is conducted for the value of learning outcomes of each knowledge competency and skills competency. As for attitude competency using data description results from each meeting.The results showed the average physics learning outcomes in both sample classes 80.40 and 75.10 for knowledge competence, 83.53 and 82.75 for skills competency from the t test, obtained tcount> ttable so that alternative hypotheses were accepted for knowledge competence, while for the competency skills of the t test, obtained tcount>ttable so that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The conclusion of the research is the hypothesis which states that there is a significant influence on the use of a problem based learning model assisted by a handout on the physics competence of students in class X MIPA SMAN 2 Kota Solok.

Abstract

Learning physics in high school show not optimal results,this is caused by several factors, including student learning has not been able to connect the old with the new learning, and also teaching materials used are less variable and can not connect old learning with new learning, so that students the difficulties in  understand learning physics. The application of learning materials is modeled Advance Organizer can be used as a solution in solving the problem, learning materials which can increase the variety of learning materials, while Advance Organizer is a learning model that can connect the old with the new learning. Research type is Quasi experiment, the design of Randomized Control Group Design Only, while the sample came from the students of class XI Science SMAN 7 Padang, with purposive sampling technique sampling. The data of this study consists of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The data were then analyzed using the t test. The results showed that the working hypothesis that there is a significant effect of the implementation of learning materials are modeled Advance Oraganizer on active learning in class XI Science SMAN 7 Padang accepted level of 95%.

Abstract

The 2013 Curriculum requires learning to achieve overall competence of spiritual competence, social, knowledge, and skills competencies. In fact, the demands of the 2013 curriculum are not fully implemented. One factor is the lack of learning resources to support the achievement of the competencies of students demanded by the 2013 Curriculum, especially spiritual attitudes. The altervative solution to this problem is developing physics teaching materials that integrating the content of the value of spiritual intelligence. This research includes the type of research and development (R & D). This method consists of ten steps, but this research uses only six steps: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revisions, and product testing. The object of research is the subject of physics with the content of spiritual intelligence. The instrument used in this research is the validity assessment sheet, the practicality assessment sheet, and the test result sheet. Based on data analysis, four results of this research are presented. First, teaching materials with the content of spiritual intelligence values of vector material and straight motion are in accordance with the structure of teaching materials and there are values of spiritual intelligence relevant to the concept of physics. Second, the value of the validity of teaching materials with the content of spiritual intelligence values of vector material and straight motion is very high with an average value of 86.55. Third, teaching materials with spiritual values of spiritual intelligence are practically used by teachers and students, with practical values of 83.87 and 80.54, respectively. Fourth, teaching materials with the content of spiritual intelligence values are effectively used in a scientific approach to improving the competence of learners' knowledge.

Abstract

One of the problems that makes the competence of the students are not aptimal is that we have not found can be the suitable learning model between Cooperative Learning type Think-Pair-Share and Snowball Throwing in order to increase student competence. The purpose of this research was to know the difference in competence of the IPA students used Cooperative Learning type Think-Pair-Share and Snowball Throwing for class VII SMPN 11 Padang. This research was Quasi experiment research with factorial design 2 x 2. The population research  was students in class VII SMPN 11 Padang that enrolled on second semester in academic year of 2015/2016. The instruments of this research are paper test for cognitive competence, observation sheets for affective competence, and performance assessment for psychomotor competence. Hypotesis test used was the t-test. Based on data analysis result, it can be concluded that in cognitive competence and psychomotor tcounting > ttable, it shows that Cooperative Learning type Snowball Throwing is better than Cooperative Learning type Think-Pair-Share, but psychomotor competence tcounting <ttable., there is no difference between usage Cooperative Learning type Think-Pair-Share and Snowball Throwing models at  SMPN 11 Padang
