Abstract

This study examines the influence of self-service technology and customer relationship marketing on customer loyalty at Bank Muamalat Malang, with customer satisfaction serving as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative research, this research analyzes data from 100 respondents collected through structured questionnaires. The study employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to test the hypothesized relationships between variables. Results indicate that both self-service technology and customer relationship marketing significantly influence customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction playing a crucial mediating role. Self-service technology demonstrates a positive impact on customer satisfaction through ease of use, utility, time efficiency, and self-control dimensions. Customer relationship marketing, measured through trust, competence, commitment, communication, and conflict handling, also shows significant positive effects on customer satisfaction and loyalty. The mediation analysis reveals that customer satisfaction partially mediates the relationship between independent variables and customer loyalty. These findings provide valuable insights for Islamic banking institutions in developing effective strategies to enhance customer retention and loyalty through technological innovation and relationship management. Keywords: self-service technology, customer relationship marketing, customer loyalty, customer satisfaction, Islamic banking, mediation analysis .

Abstract

Background: Optimal anticoagulation management is crucial for graft patency and minimizing postoperative complications in off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB), a widely performed surgical procedure for coronary artery disease. The role of protamine in neutralizing heparin and its impact on activated clotting time (ACT) and postoperative bleeding remain unclear. This study compared the effects of two protamine doses (0.7 mg and 1 mg per 1 mg of heparin) on ACT and bleeding outcomes in patients who underwent OPCAB. Methods: This multicenter, single-blind, randomized controlled trial was conducted from February to April 2025 and included 50 patients undergoing OPCAB at Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital and Santosa Hospital Central. Patients were randomized into two groups: Group 1 received 0.7 mg of protamine per 1 mg of heparin, and Group 2 received 1 mg of protamine per 1 mg of heparin. The primary outcomes were post-protamine ACT levels and postoperative bleeding at 1, 4, and 12 h. The secondary outcomes included the need for colloid and crystalloid fluid administration. Results: The results showed No significant difference was observed in the ACT between the two groups after protamine administration (p = 0.541). However, postoperative bleeding was significantly lower in the 0.7 mg group than in the 1 mg group at all postoperative time points (p < 0.05). The 1 mg protamine group required significantly more colloid infusion during the procedure (p = 0.001), suggesting greater hemodynamic instability associated with higher protamine doses. Conclusions: A protamine dose of 0.7 mg per 1 mg of heparin was associated with less postoperative bleeding than the standard 1 mg dose, without significant differences in ACT. These findings suggest that lower doses of protamine may be preferable in OPCAB to reduce bleeding risk while maintaining effective heparin neutralization. Further studies are needed to refine the protamine dosing protocols for cardiac surgery.

Abstract

Introduction: This study aimed to compare the myocardial protective effects of sevoflurane and propofol in patients undergoing Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (OPCAB). Both anesthetic agents are commonly used in cardiac surgery; however, their relative efficacy in myocardial protection remains unclear. Methods: A total of 36 patients scheduled for elective OPCAB surgery were randomly assigned to two groups: 18 patients received sevoflurane, and 18 received propofol as anesthetic agents. Myocardial injury was assessed by measuring serum CK-MB levels at three time points: pre-induction (T0), 10 h post-surgery (T1), and 24 h post-surgery (T2). Left ventricular function was evaluated by measuring the ejection fraction (EF) preoperatively and postoperatively. Hemodynamic parameters (heart rate, mean arterial pressure, and central venous pressure) were monitored throughout the surgery. Postoperative recovery was assessed by measuring the duration of mechanical ventilation, ICU stay, and hospital stay. Statistical comparisons were made using appropriate tests (t-test, Mann-Whitney, and chi-square) with significance set at p < 0.05. Results: No significant differences were found in CK-MB levels between the sevoflurane and propofol groups at any of the three time points (T0, T1, and T2), indicating equivalent myocardial protection in both groups. The mean CK-MB values at T0, T1, and T2 were comparable between the sevoflurane (19.61 ± 88.081, 74.83 ± 70.503, 49.06 ± 44.421, respectively) and propofol groups (21.72 ± 10.532, 56.28 ± 32.807, 49.00 ± 29.019, respectively). Similarly, ejection fraction values were similar between the two groups preoperatively (sevoflurane: 50.01 ± 14.907%, propofol: 52.67 ± 13.676%) and postoperatively (sevoflurane: 50.72 ± 12.027%, propofol: 49.72 ± 12.136%). The hemodynamic parameters (heart rate, mean arterial pressure, and central venous pressure) were stable and comparable between the groups. Postoperative recovery outcomes, including mechanical ventilation duration, ICU stay, and hospital stay, were similar between the two groups. Conclusion: Sevoflurane and propofol provided equivalent myocardial protection during OPCAB surgery. These findings suggest that either anesthetic agent can be safely and effectively used for anesthesia management in OPCAB procedures without significant differences in myocardial injury or cardiac function.

Abstract

This empirical investigation undertakes a granular socio-economic autopsy of the Kashmir Valley, dissecting the multifaceted interplay among educational attainment, employment stratification, and poverty incidence. Drawing upon stratified demographic data, the study interrogates the assumptions that formal education acts as a panacea against economic marginality. Although a discernible inverse correlation between educational level and poverty prevalence is established—most notably, with only one in twenty postgraduates living below the poverty line—the data simultaneously reveal an unsettling incongruity: elevated education does not axiomatically culminate in employment. A pronounced graduate unemployment rate (21.6%) underscores systemic disconnects between academic curricula and localized labor markets. The study illuminates acute gender-based disparities, where female unemployment (39.7%) significantly eclipses male rates, with rural women bearing the brunt of socio-economic exclusion. Informal employment patterns remain entrenched in rural terrains, perpetuating subsistence economies devoid of structural mobility. Urban-rural dichotomies in monthly income (INR 16,400 vs. INR 8,300) reveal infrastructural and opportunity asymmetries, while government employment surfaces as the singular bastion of economic stability and aid-independence. The discussion extrapolates these findings into a broader analytical frame, critiquing policy inertia, aid-dependency paradigms, and educational irrelevance. The study culminates in a set of praxis-oriented recommendations: localized micro-industrialization, curriculum recalibration, gender-responsive economic ecosystems, digital cooperatives, public sector decentralization, youth-focused resilience programs, and geo-spatial equity audits. These interventions collectively aspire to reconfigure the region’s socio-economic architecture from passive dependency toward sustainable empowerment.

Abstract

This study critically interrogates the socio-cultural and economic determinants underpinning the phenomenon of late and non-marriage among women above the age of 40 in the Kashmir Valley. Drawing on primary data collected from 108 unmarried women engaged in low-income occupations such as homemaking, private tuition, and informal sector work, the research elucidates how entrenched cultural expectations particularly the prevalence of dowry demands and the social compulsion for extravagant wedding expenditures conspire with financial precarity to delay or entirely obstruct marriage prospects. The analysis employs both descriptive statistics and chi-square testing to establish significant correlations between occupational status and the reasons cited for remaining unmarried, revealing that women’s economic contributions often fail to mitigate the barriers imposed by patriarchal traditions and materialist social norms. Further, the study problematizes the socio-psychological implications of prolonged singleness, situating these women within a matrix of marginalization marked by emotional distress, familial burden, and diminished social visibility. Remedies proposed encompass structural reforms, legal enforcement against dowry, targeted marriage support schemes, vocational empowerment, and a reconceptualization of societal narratives around marriage and womanhood. The study concludes that without a multidimensional recalibration of both policy and cultural ethos, the marital exclusion of economically vulnerable women will persist, perpetuating cycles of gendered inequality and social alienation.

Abstract

School principal leadership plays a critical role in improving the quality of education, particularly in supporting teacher performance and career development. However, challenges such as the aging of teachers nearing retirement, limited technological resources, and administrative burdens often hinder the effective implementation of leadership. This study aims to analyze the influence of school principal leadership on the performance and career interest of elementary school teachers in Sumber Harta District, South Sumatra. A qualitative research method with a case study approach was employed. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving school principals and teachers as informants. The data analysis process included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that principals provide support through supervision, training, informal motivation, and access to information related to teacher certification. A total of 80% of teachers reported that school leadership improved their performance, while 75% expressed similar sentiments regarding career development. Nevertheless, issues related to teacher age and the limitations of technological infrastructure remain significant obstacles.

Abstract

Actio Pauliana is an important legal instrument in the bankruptcy system, aimed at protecting the interests of creditors from the actions of debtors with bad intentions, such as the transfer of assets conducted before a bankruptcy declaration is made. This instrument allows creditors to annul legal acts of the debtor that could harm their rights, with the main principle being good faith. This article aims to analyze the application of actio pauliana in Indonesian bankruptcy law, focusing on the protection given to creditors in dealing with harmful transfers of debtor assets. This research uses a normative juridical approach, analyzing the legal provisions in the Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligation Law (UU Bankruptcy and PKPU) and its application in practice. The results of the research show that actio pauliana can be an effective tool in maintaining fairness and transparency in debt settlement; however, its application still requires improvements in terms of oversight and coordination between relevant parties such as commercial courts, curators, and creditors. The recommendation is to update the regulations related to actio pauliana to address new challenges in bankruptcy practice and ensure the continuation of legal protection for creditors.

Abstract

This study aims to implement the Restitution Triangle method as an effective strategy in reducing juvenile delinquency in the school environment, especially at SDN 4 Wonosari, Musi Rawas, South Sumatra. The Restitution Triangle method is a restorative approach that involves collaboration between the school, parents, and children as the main actors in the process of recovery and prevention of delinquency. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and questionnaires to students, teachers, and parents during the study period. In its application, this method focuses on open dialogue, moral responsibility, and a recovery process that involves all related parties to build children's awareness of the impact of their actions and repair damaged social relationships. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Restitution Triangle Method is significantly able to reduce the level of student delinquency, improve communication between schools and parents, and form more positive and responsible behavior among children. This implementation also shows an increase in students' moral awareness and empathy towards their families and the surrounding community. Based on these findings, it is suggested that this method can be routinely integrated into character education programs and child behavior management in elementary schools to create a healthy, safe, and understanding learning environment. This study contributes to the development of discipline strategies based on a restorative approach and is able to reduce child delinquency effectively.

Abstract

This research examines the practical implications of integrating ethical values, spirituality and philosophical principles in Christian religious education. Through the perspective of philosophy of science, especially in relation to values and morals, this research assesses how Christian religious education can respond to the challenges of globalization and technological development, while avoiding mystical teachings and religious manipulation. The research uses a qualitative method. Analysis was conducted through case study studies supported by literature references to produce a holistic understanding of the integration of philosophy of science and Christian religious education. The results revealed that the interaction between the philosophical foundation of scientific inquiry and the transcendent moral, ethical, and spiritual dimensions has great potential to enhance the practical relevance, social impact, and holistic resonance of Christian religious education. A deep integration of the empirical domain and spiritual values can bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and the values of human life. This approach opens new avenues for the development of educational practices that are attuned to the moral and intellectual needs of a global society. Christian religious education needs to maintain its relevance in the modern era by balancing religious values, philosophy and science. Moral guidance from the Bible provides a key foundation for creating meaningful social impact and building a morally and intellectually balanced society. This integrative perspective brings synergy that enriches the empirical and experiential realms, while empowering individuals and communities holistically.
