Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability and liquidity on sukuk ratings in companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021–2024. Profitability is measured using Return on Assets (ROA) and liquidity is measured by Current Ratio (CR). The research method uses panel data regression analysis with the Random Effect Model (REM) approach, after going through the Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests. The results of the study show that profitability does not have a significant effect on sukuk ratings, while liquidity has a significant effect. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R²) of 8.15% indicates that profitability and liquidity together are able to explain the variation in sukuk ratings by 8.15%, the rest is explained by other variables outside the model. These findings provide insight for investors in considering the liquidity aspect as the main indicator in assessing the risk and potential returns from sukuk investments.

Abstract

Football is one of the sports that can support physical, mental, and social development, especially during the optimal development period (golden age) of adolescents. This period, which occurs at the age of 13-17 years, is an important period in physical development and motor skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of football on the optimal development of female adolescents in this age range. The study used a cross-sectional method involving 60 female adolescents who actively participated in football training at a football school in Central Java. The data collected included physical development (height, weight, and nutritional status based on BMI/age), motor development (balance, agility, and muscle strength), and social development (team interaction and self-confidence). The results showed that participation in football had a significant effect on physical development (p<0.05), motor (p<0.01), and social (p<0.01). This study concluded that football provides positive benefits during the optimal development period of female adolescents, especially in the physical, motor, and social aspects. Longitudinal studies with a larger population coverage are needed to identify appropriate training strategies to maximize development without increasing the risk of injury. Future research could explore the specific mechanisms through which football training influences these developmental aspects in female adolescents. It would be valuable to investigate whether the observed benefits are unique to football or if similar effects could be achieved through other team sports. Additionally, examining the long-term impact of sustained football participation on female adolescents' overall health, academic performance, and career prospects could provide valuable insights for policymakers and educators.

Abstract

This paper analyzes the effects of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors, including their three pillars and ESG controversies, on corporate performance in environmentally sensitive industries across ASEAN countries. ESG issues have gained prominence due to their association with environmental degradation, labor exploitation, and lack of transparency, all of which pose risks to corporate sustainability. In emerging markets, the implementation of ESG practices faces challenges such as inadequate infrastructure and financial limitations, which may hinder companies from adopting sustainable practices and improving performance. This study addresses these challenges by introducing financial slack as a moderating variable, aiming to determine if financial flexibility impacts the relationship between ESG engagement and corporate performance, assessed through Return on Equity (ROE), Return on Assets (ROA), and Tobin's Q. Utilizing panel data from 2019 to 2023 and applying moderated regression analysis reveals that ESG engagement and its pillars are negatively linked to corporate performance. Furthermore, financial slack mitigates the negative outcome of overall ESG engagement, along with the Environmental and Governance pillars, on these performance indicators. These findings highlight the importance of financial flexibility in supporting ESG implementation in emerging economies and environmentally sensitive industries.

Abstract

This research examines the declining trend in numeracy achievement among junior high school students in Central Papua based on the 2024-2025 Education Report. As the youngest province with challenging geographical characteristics, Central Papua faces complex problems in equitable quality education. The research aims to analyze the declining trend in numeracy achievement, identify determinant factors, and formulate contextual policy recommendations. Using a quantitative descriptive approach, this study analyzes secondary data from the Ministry of Education and Culture's Education Report using temporal comparative analysis, spatial gap analysis, correlational analysis, and factor analysis techniques. Results show a significant decrease in numeracy achievement from 48.54% (2024) to 45.96% (2025), contrary to the increasing national trend (57.42% to 59.75%). Five determinant factors include: lack of contextual teaching materials, low pedagogical literacy among teachers, limited supporting infrastructure, students' negative perceptions of mathematics, and low literacy skills as barriers to understanding numeracy problems. In conclusion, the declining trend in numeracy achievement in Central Papua requires holistic interventions including the development of teaching materials based on local wisdom, strengthening teacher capacity, improving supporting infrastructure, and an ecological approach involving various stakeholders to optimize the quality of numeracy education.

Abstract

This study explains the implementation of the ProSIndes - Undarma millennial entrepreneurship program in 3,442 villages in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), aiming to encourage rural entrepreneurship and its contribution to the *One Map Policy* and Society 5.0. The innovation adoption process is analyzed using a mixed-method descriptive-evaluative approach based on Rogers' Diffusion of Innovation Theory. The results show a wide range of implementation with variations in penetration, influenced by innovation characteristics, communication channels, social systems, and adopter categories, and impact increasing millennial entrepreneur participation and digital literacy. The success of ProSIndes-Undarma Kupang shows that building Indonesia from the village is not just rhetoric but can be realized through a contextual, applicable, and collaboration-based higher education strategy. With these achievements, ProSIndes-Undarma Kupang has become not just an academic program but a grassroots development movement that answers Indonesia's current and future challenges. This program demonstrates that through village-oriented education, Indonesia can accelerate the leap of civilization towards an intelligent, independent, and socially just society, as the ideals of Society 5.0 and the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
