Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the influence of halal awareness, BPOM labels, and e-WOM on the interest in purchasing skincare products on e-commerce among Generation Z. Methodology: This study employed a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data were obtained through a questionnaire distributed to Generation Z in Semarang Regency who were interested in purchasing skincare products through e-commerce. Results: The results of the study showed that all independent variables, namely: halal awareness, BPOM label and e-WOM had a positive and significant impact on purchase intention (P-Value < 0.05). Findings: Based on the F test, the results of the halal awareness, BPOM label, and e-WOM variables simultaneously impacted the purchase intention of skincare products among Gen Z in Semarang Regency with a P-Value of 0.000. Novelty: The insights generated through this research approach have not been widely explored previously in the literature, particularly in the context of young religious consumers. This geographic focus on Semarang Regency may help provide important contextual contributions. Originality: This study provides new insights by showing that spiritual leadership does not contribute to OCB, in contrast to job satisfaction, as well as highlighting the role of spirituality as a mediator which has not been extensively studied before. Conclusion: The study concluded that to increase interest in purchasing skincare products among Gen Z, the main focus should be on increasing halal awareness, BPOM labels, and e-WOM. Type of Paper: Empirical research type.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of financial literacy and peers on the saving behavior of students at State Universities in Surabaya through self-control. Methodology: A quantitative approach was used with 258 respondents from the Faculty of Economics and Business of a state university in Surabaya, obtained through stratified random sampling. Data were collected via online questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-SEM (SmartPLS 4.0). Results: Financial literacy (β = 0.160) and peers (β = 0.252) have a positive and significant influence on saving behavior. Moreover, self-control significantly mediates the relationship between financial literacy and peers on saving behavior (β = 0.111). The model demonstrates moderate explanatory power, with R² values of 0.270 for saving behavior and 0.244 for self-control. Findings: The findings confirm that both financial literacy and peer influence are critical determinants of saving behavior, with self-control serving as a key mediating mechanism that strengthens these relationships. Novelty & Originality: This study contributes to the literature by integrating psychological and social factors in explaining saving behavior. Its originality adds a regional context by focusing on economics and business students in Surabaya, representing a group that is financially literate and knowledgeable, which has been underexplored in prior research. Conclusions: Expanding the research scope by involving students from private universities or conducting comparative studies between cities can provide new insights into differences in socioeconomic contexts. Type of Paper: This paper is a research article.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine how employee performance at PERUMDA Tirta Mangkaluku Kota Palopo is influenced by GHRM and Green Work Engagement (GWE). Methodology: This study uses a quantitative approach by collecting data through questionnaires. They involved 76 employees and used a basic random selection method. The data were analysed using SPSS version 24 and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis. Results: The results show that employee performance is positively and significantly influenced by GHRM and GWE. Findings: The study shows that Green Human Resource Management and Green Work Engagement both have a positive and important impact on how well employees perform. Partially, GHRM has been shown to boost employee performance, just like GWE has. At the same time, both variables strongly affect how well employees perform. The coefficient of determination, or R², is 0.757, which means that 75.7% of the changes in employee performance can be explained by GHRM and GWE. Novelty: This study shows that Green Work Engagement really makes a difference in how well employees perform, which is different from Mering (2024), who said that Green Work Engagement doesn't have much impact on employee performance. Originality: This study adds real evidence by looking at how GHRM and GWE affect regional companies (PERUMDA), which hasn't been widely studied before. This study also helps show how using HR practices that focus on the environment connects to employees' willingness to work in a green way, which in turn affects their performance, especially in the public service sector. Conclusions: The study concludes that organizations should prioritize both GHRM implementation and the cultivation of green work engagement to optimize employee performance outcomes. Type of Paper: This paper is an empirical research paper.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to objectively analyse staffing requirements in the dishwashing unit of SPPG Wonosari using the Workload Indicators of Staffing Need (WISN) method based on actual workload conditions. Methodology: A case study design integrating quantitative WISN analysis was employed, with data collected through direct observation of work activities and in-depth interviews with dishwashing personnel and the kitchen supervisor. Results: The results show that the effective available working time was 2,144 hours or 128,640 minutes per worker per year. Based on the WISN calculation, the ideal staffing requirement was 18 workers, while only 16 were currently available, resulting in a WISN ratio of 0.9. Findings: This ratio indicates an understaffing condition that increases individual workload and may reduce operational efficiency and service quality. Novelty & Originality: This study provides empirical evidence on the application of the WISN method in a non-healthcare operational setting, specifically in a food service unit, which has received limited attention in prior research. Its originality emerges from the adaptation of a workforce planning tool traditionally used in healthcare to the context of institutional food service operations. Conclusions: The study concludes that the dishwashing unit at SPPG Wonosari requires additional staff to achieve optimal workload balance and maintain service quality. These findings offer practical insights for workforce planning in similar operational environments. Type of Paper: This paper is an empirical research paper.

Abstract

Purpose: This research examines Product-Service System (PSS) implementation as a strategic framework to enhance competitiveness in the international freight forwarding industry, specifically analyzing PT Choir Express's transformation opportunities from pure service provision toward integrated product-service offerings. Methodology: The study employs Tukker's (2004) PSS classification framework through questionnaire-based organizational capability assessment, evaluating PT Choir Express across eight PSS categories spanning Product-Oriented, Use-Oriented, and Result-Oriented service dimensions. Results: PT Choir Express currently operates in Quadrant 11 (Pure Service), with eligibility for seven PSS quadrants including Product Related Service, Advice & Consulting, Product Related Software, Product Pooling, Outsourcing, Pay Per Service Unit, and Functional Result. Findings: The company possesses critical capabilities including specialized human resources, software infrastructure, and partnership networks, but faces financial resource constraints limiting comprehensive PSS transformation. Novelty: This research extends PSS theory beyond product-oriented manufacturing to service-dominant logistics, demonstrating novel adoption pathways for freight forwarding companies in emerging markets. Conclusion: A phased PSS implementation strategy prioritizing lower-investment Product-Oriented services before progressing to Result-Oriented offerings enables competitive differentiation and sustainable growth despite financial constraints. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to develop an adaptive marketing strategy for nail art micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Surabaya, Indonesia, by integrating the 7P marketing mix with a benchmarking approach. Methodology: The research employed a qualitative exploratory design using benchmarking as the main analytical approach, with data collected through in-depth interviews and observations of selected nail art studios using purposive sampling, and analysed through thematic coding techniques including open, axial, and selective coding. Results: The findings indicate that effective marketing strategies in nail art MSMEs depend on the integrated implementation of the 7P marketing mix rather than isolated application, with benchmarking enabling businesses to identify best practices and adapt to dynamic market conditions. Findings: Benchmarking functions as a continuous learning mechanism that strengthens innovation, digital engagement, service quality, and brand consistency when aligned with internal marketing practices. Novelty: This study proposes an adaptive marketing strategy framework that combines benchmarking with the 7P marketing mix, transforming a traditional marketing model into a dynamic and learning-oriented system for creative service MSMEs. Conclusion: The adaptive framework offers both theoretical and practical insights for enhancing competitiveness and long-term sustainability in trend-driven and highly competitive markets. Type of Paper: Qualitative research.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effects of performance transformation, competence, and commitment on employee productivity at PT. Indonesia Bulk Terminal (IBT). Methodology: A descriptive quantitative research design was employed, utilizing purposive sampling technique with 100 permanent employees as respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 software, including Outer Model evaluation (convergent validity, discriminant validity, AVE, Composite Reliability), R², and path coefficient estimation with bootstrapping. Results: The results indicate that performance transformation positively and significantly affects productivity (T = 5.161, p = 0.000), competence positively and significantly affects productivity (T = 3.274, p = 0.001), while commitment has a significant but negative effect on productivity (T = 2.315, p = 0.021). The three independent variables collectively explain 67.1% (R² = 0.671). Findings: This study highlights that performance and competency transformation play an important role in improving productivity, while commitment does not have a significant direct effect on productivity. Novelty: Reveals unexpected negative influence of employee commitment on productivity in Indonesian bulk terminals. Originality: first study testing performance, competence, and commitment transformations as productivity predictors at PT. Indonesia Bulk Terminal. Conclusions: Productivity increases through effective performance transformation and competency development, while high commitment alone is not enough without discipline and Standard Operating Procedure compliance.
