Abstract

PT YKK Zipco Indonesia is a manufacturing company that produces zipper components, namely chains and sliders. The manufacture of slider products goes through several departments, namely die casting, assembling, painting and plating. The process of making slider products begins with the die casting department which carries out the production process using 17 machines. The problem that exists in the die casting department is that the level of productivity is quite low, so an analysis of the effectiveness of the die casting machine is needed. The aim of this research is to evaluate the performance of the production process in order to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the company as a whole. The method used in this research is overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and six Big Losses. The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method is used to measure the effectiveness of production process machine performance in manufacturing companies using the parameters availability, performance and quality. In OEE there are six big losses which are categorized into 3 main categories, namely quality loss, downtime loss and speed loss. Then an analysis was carried out using the Pareto diagram and fishbone diagram to find the root causes of the problems that occurred. The results of this research, namely the results of OEE calculations on the C – 07 Die Casting machine, obtained an average OEE value of 78.6%. Based on the six big losses calculation, breakdown losses occupy the highest value with a percentage of 23.1%, making it the losses that most influence the value of machine effectiveness.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the appropriate leadership style in the public sector transition period from implementing vernacular risk management to formal risk management or ERM. This leadership style also considers leadership factors, and implementing a risk culture has become the main factor in implementing ERM in various studies. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with a research strategy in the form of case studies. The data used is primary data and secondary data. Primary data is the results of interviews with 16 respondents who are parties who participate in managing risks at the ZYX ministry. Secondary data is all internal and external data related to MRPN. The general conclusion is that Agile leadership is needed so that ZYX Ministry can adapt to the VUCA era. Leaders with agility can guide their organizations to become faster, more adaptive, and more productive. Agile Governance is the key to responsive and proactive governance.

Abstract

The business process of shipping agencies in the post-pandemic is facing adjustments in providing services to customers. A digitalization system carried out by shipping agencies is a solution to respond to these changes and enable shipping agency businesses to survive. This study explored the extent of the impact of system digitalization on the resilience of shipping agency companies and also on the company's competitive advantage mediated by ambidextrous innovation. This study was conducted on 192 shipping agency companies that are members of shipping agency associations in Indonesia's main ports. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires online then data processing was carried out and analysis was carried out, both descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics using WarPLS. The research results showed that the existence of a system digitalization program increases company resilience. Likewise, the existence of a system digitalization program also increases the company's competitive advantage. With a proactive response in the form of ambidextrous innovation from the company, digitalization is increasingly showing a significant influence on the company's resilience and also on the company's competitive advantage. The results of this research provide additional empirical contributions in proving the RBV-based theory of competitive advantage where with breakthrough innovation and adaptation to digitalization of the system which is part of the empowerment of company resources aimed at producing service products that are of unique value and cannot be imitated by competitors so that they have a competitive advantage for the company. The results of this research also provide a practical contribution to the shipping agency industry where it cannot be denied that the system digitalization process followed by ambidextrous innovation will increase the company's resilience and produce competitive advantage for the company as well.

Abstract

Abstract—These technological advances make researchers around the world develop many new things to support the harmony of life. Humans think a lot, including in terms of technology for the advancement of the times and to maintain life, as well as for handling the unprecedented outbreak of the corona virus that spread in the end of 2019, referred to as COVID-19 by the World Health Organization (WHO), and has put the whole world in a precarious position. The impact of the COVID-19 outbreak, which was witnessed only by Chinese citizens, has become a problem of great concern for almost every country around the world makes the COVID-19 outbreak is spreading tremendous fear, overburdened healthcare system has forced most countries around the world are in a state of partial or complete lockdown. Researchers have begun to develop studies in various fields to help control the virus. Technology is also forced to adapt and develop faster to deal with the existing situation. In response to this action, with this review paper we use trusted sources to present a detailed review of specific aspects related to technological developments during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially UAV or drone technology. In this study we explore the use of technologies such as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) or drones that are modified for handling pandemic situations, and how these technologies are also combined with other trending technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and 5G, among others, to help reduce their impact from the COVID-19 outbreak and the challenges for the post COVID-19 period. Abstract

Coronanomics is the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the macro economy which includes several macro indicators, namely data on economic growth, inflation rates, interest rates, consumption, and investment in Indonesia as well as government policy responses in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a literature study by taking data from several literatures that support the research process. This study uses quantitative data that is described qualitatively to analyze the impact on the macro economy. Data collection techniques used by listening and analyzing data by means of data reduction, data display, and an overview about the literature to be developed in this study. The results showed that the Indonesian economy in the third quarter of 2021 increased by 3.51% (yoy), although it slowed down compared to the previous quarter's achievements, household consumption grew by 1.03% (yoy). Investment growth slowed by 3.74% (yoy), supported by construction investment. The government's consumption performance was 0.66% (yoy), in line with the reallocation of spending to accelerate the national economic recovery program, including the handling of the Covid-19 delta. The inflation rate in October 2021 was 0.93%, a decrease compared to inflation in 2020 of 1.66%. The government's policy responses that have been carried out in order to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic are divided into two, namely through the Covid-19 Handling Policy and the National Economic Recovery Policy (PC-PEN).

Abstract

Small and Medium Industry (SMEs) is one type of business that has experienced a fairly developed growth valuation. Consumer goods wholesale SMEs have experienced rapid growth in the sales sector, specifically in the Babelan sub-district the consumer goods wholesale industry still uses a manual control system in running its business. The sales process with the Conventional System is carried out starting from stock control, sales activity control, sales process, cashier and revenue generation is still done manually. The manual control process causes a slow counting process, and a long process of re- ordering goods and losing assets. The solution needed at this time is the creation of a framework for Digital Transformation Steps in the sales process to facilitate the control of wholesale consumer goods business processes. The digital transformation framework is expected to modernize the sales process starting from the cashier system, revenue control system, sales activity control process and make it easier for wholesalers to order goods. This applied research is expected to be able to provide suggestions for wholesale consumer goods businesses in running their business in a more efficient and practical direction and can be a recommendation to be able to carry out a digitally transformed sales process.

Abstract

The burgeoning industrial sector in Indonesia has intensified competition among businesses vying for market share. The furniture industry is a prime example of this dynamic landscape. To expand their market reach, companies must demonstrate their ability to fulfill every consumer demand. Failure to meet these expectations will prompt consumers to seek alternatives. One crucial factor in meeting consumer demands is product availability, which is directly influenced by the availability of raw materials within the company. CV XYZ Furniture, a furniture company based in Padang City, exemplifies this challenge. The company produces a diverse range of furniture, primarily utilizing rattan as its raw material. However, CV XYZ Furniture currently lacks a structured inventory planning method for raw materials, resulting in excess inventory for each period. To address this issue, this research aims to establish an optimized inventory planning strategy for raw materials used in furniture production at CV XYZ Furniture. The continuous review system method serves as the foundation for this endeavor. The research outcomes encompass the determination of optimal demand quantity, reorder point, and safety stock. The implementation of the continuous review system model yielded a significant reduction in total inventory costs, amounting to Rp8,625,594 or 2.03%. It can be proven that the continuous review system model is suitable for calculating raw material inventory at CV XYZ Furniture for raw material planning in the following years.

Abstract

Fluids play a crucial role in the lives of living beings, as they are substances that can flow. In a piping system, a common issue is water pressure fluctuation caused by sudden closures of water flow (Idul, 2021). Pipe surge and water hammer equipment are utilized to demonstrate the transient pressure effect resulting from abrupt changes in flow velocity within pipes (David, 1981). Water hammer can lead to pressure surges throughout the piping system, potentially causing failures that result in leaks in pipes, valves, pipe joints, and even pumps if the pressure exceeds the pipe's capacity (Prasetya, 2016). The likelihood of pipe ruptures or leaks at joints increases significantly. Additionally, equipment movement, slope, and precision of pipe installation can also contribute to leaks during water hammer events. This research aims to develop a pipe leakage monitoring system to address the impact of water hammer. The system will be installed in areas deemed susceptible to this phenomenon, along with a periodic maintenance indicator system to minimize the impact of pipe leaks. The research will also investigate the potential risks associated with varying fluid flow rates in the piping system. The monitoring, indicator, and sensor systems will be integrated into a PLC and HMI system for data processing.

Abstract

The use of automatic sorting systems in industry plays a crucial role in saving time and reducing manual labor through automation. The main challenges are the high error rate and slow manual sorting processes. This research aims to design and develop an automatic sorting conveyor system using Arduino technology and pneumatic actuators to enhance sorting efficiency and accuracy. The proposed solution is a system capable of detecting and sorting objects based on size with very low error rates, thereby increasing productivity and reducing human error. The design and development of this system involve creating a 3D model of components such as the conveyor frame, belt, motor, pneumatic actuators, and sensors, and integrating them into a complete system. Testing was conducted with seven differently sized test objects to evaluate the system's performance in detecting and sorting objects based on size and height. Input and output voltage measurements ensure performance in line with the expected specifications. The research results demonstrate that the developed automatic sorting conveyor system effectively sorts objects with high accuracy. The system can detect and sort objects based on size with a 0% error rate, reducing the time required for the sorting process compared to manual methods. The use of pneumatic actuators and appropriate sensors ensures consistent and reliable system performance. The test results indicate that the system can be integrated into various industrial applications to enhance production efficiency. The developed automatic sorting conveyor system successfully improves the efficiency and accuracy of the sorting process in industry. It shows significant potential for reducing human error and increasing productivity, making it a practical solution for various industrial applications.

Abstract

The impact of development technology from product digital wallet against impulse buying is a significant phenomenon. This study aims to analyze the effect of perceived ease of use, cashback promotions, and financial literacy on impulse buyers of shopeepay users. Respondents used were Faculty of Business Economics students at private universities in Padang City. This research uses a purposive sampling technique with 80 respondents. The validity method was carried out using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), while multiple regression analysis using the STATA application was used to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that perceived ease of use and cashback promotions had a positive influence on impulse purchases, while financial literacy did not show a significant effect. The contribution of this research is to provide a deeper understanding of the factors that influence impulse buying in the digital era, especially those related to perceived ease of use, cashback promotions, and financial literacy in using shopeepay.
