Abstract

Household waste is a significant challenge in environmental management at the community level. Low public awareness of waste management demonstrates the need for an approach that is not only technical but also based on spiritual values. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to internalize Islamic ecotheological values through waste management education and community empowerment in Salomallori Village. The method used was an educational-participatory approach through door-to-door outreach to 20 households, including reflective religious dialogue, waste sorting demonstrations, and mentoring in the practice of the 3Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle). The results of the activity indicated an increase in community understanding of ecological responsibility as part of the mandate of the caliphate. Furthermore, approximately 12 of the 20 households (60%) began implementing simple practices of separating organic and inorganic waste. These findings demonstrate that an approach based on Islamic ecotheological values is effective in building community environmental awareness. This educational model has the potential to be replicated in communities with strong religious characteristics.

Abstract

This community service program is motivated by the critical role of Islamic educational institutions in improving the quality of human resources, particularly in rural areas with limited access to quality formal education. The primary focus of this community service program is the strategic role of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) in influencing the quality of education and religious understanding of the surrounding community. The objective of this activity is to describe the role of the Darul Ulum As'adiyah Tokare Islamic Boarding School in improving the quality of education in the Kessing Village community, Soppeng Regency, and to identify the types of development activities carried out. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method, with data collection techniques including observation, in-depth interviews with the boarding school administrators and community leaders, and documentation of activities. The results of the community service program indicate that the Darul Ulum As'adiyah Tokare Islamic Boarding School plays a crucial role through three main pillars: non-formal education (majelis taklim and pengajian), ongoing moral development, and socio-religious integration. Intense interaction between the boarding school and the community has increased public awareness of education and improved the quality of religious understanding and social behavior in Kessing Village. This community service contribution provides a model for strengthening synergy between Islamic boarding schools and local communities in an effort to accelerate the quality of education based on local wisdom and religiosity at the rural level.

Abstract

Awang Cenrana Village has significant agricultural potential as a primary economic pillar for the community. These activities naturally embody Islamic ethical values. However, most residents are unaware of or do not yet conceptually understand these values as part of an integrated Islamic value system in their work. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to explore and internalize the potential of village agriculture based on Islamic values to support sustainable and equitable agricultural development in Awang Cenrana Village. This activity was implemented through a participatory exploration approach and community mentoring. The activity stages included observing local agricultural practices, identifying spiritual values embedded in the farmers' work ethic, and conducting outreach to provide a conceptual understanding of the integration of Islamic values into natural resource management. The results of the activity indicate that Islamic values such as honesty, trustworthiness, hard work, mutual assistance, and trust in God are deeply embedded in the community's agricultural activities. These values have proven to play a crucial role as ethical guidelines that shape responsible work patterns, maintain social harmony, and support environmental sustainability. This integration balances the economic, social, and spiritual aspects of the village community. This activity contributes to a model for developing independent villages that integrates economic productivity with strengthening religious awareness. In addition to improving welfare, these results are expected to serve as a reference for other villages with similar characteristics in achieving balanced and sustainable development.

Abstract

This community service project aims to develop an innovative, application-based digital financial recording system to improve the financial literacy and numeracy of shallot entrepreneurs in Telle Village, Bone Regency. The main problems faced by the community are low levels of financial literacy and numeracy, as well as the continued use of unsystematic, manual recording in business activities. The method used is a participatory approach through Community Service Programs (KKN) with door-to-door mentoring, encompassing problem identification, innovation design, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The implementation utilized the Money Tracker application as a digital medium for financial recording. The results of the project indicate that the innovation implemented improved the community's ability to systematically record financial data, understand basic financial concepts, and improve the accuracy of transaction calculations. Furthermore, there was a significant increase in technology adoption and a shift in business management patterns from intuition-based to data-driven. The hands-on, hands-on approach and intensive mentoring proved effective in accelerating the community's adaptation to digital technology. Thus, this project contributes to the development of an integrative and contextual community service model and has the potential to be replicated in the MSME sector in other rural areas.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a strategic necessity for large-scale manufacturing companies facing complex transactions and increasing demands for financial transparency. This Community Service Program aims to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of an SAP-based Enterprise Resource Planning system in supporting the Accounting Information System at PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk. The program employed a qualitative descriptive approach involving a literature review, field observations, documentation, and assistance for accounting and finance staff, as well as operational data-entry personnel. The results demonstrate that the integration of the Financial Accounting and Controlling modules connects logistics, production, sales, and financial data in real time without requiring repetitive data entry. The system improves transaction-recording accuracy, accelerates financial reporting, reduces the risk of human error, and strengthens internal controls through digital authorization and audit trails. It also enhances corporate governance transparency, supports regulatory compliance as a publicly listed company, and facilitates timely managerial decision-making. Nevertheless, its effectiveness remains influenced by user competence, network and electricity stability, and system maintenance requirements. Therefore, regular training and continuous capacity building are necessary to sustain digital transformation and improve the quality of the company’s financial management.

Abstract

Inventory management lacking clear operational standards can lead to suboptimal administrative processes and stock control within MSMEs. Preliminary observations at the Tea Break Purwosari MSME revealed that inventory management relied on Microsoft Excel and manual stock checks. Although the business manages approximately 35 types of raw materials and supporting supplies, it lacked written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guide the processes of receiving, storing, recording, and issuing goods. This community service initiative aimed to assist in developing SOPs for the Inventory Management System and general inventory handling to enhance inventory management effectiveness. The implementation method involved observation, interviews, problem identification, SOP drafting, dissemination, implementation support, and evaluation through observation sheets and discussions with the partner. The results indicate that the developed SOPs provided a more structured operational framework for inventory management. Implementing these SOPs improved administrative orderliness, clarified workflows, and supported more systematic and effective stock control at Tea Break Purwosari.

Abstract

The rapid digital transformation requires students to possess efficient and structured research literacy. This Community Empowerment Program (Prodamat) aims to enhance the research capacity of students at Politeknik Mitra Karya Mandiri through a "Smart Research in the Digital Era" approach. The activity was conducted utilizing a participatory training and mentoring method focusing on three main pillars: Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) utilization, and the mastery of scientific publication tools. The implementation process included comprehensive guidance on defining research questions using the PICOC framework, leveraging AI-based search tools like Elicit and Semantic Scholar with strict adherence to the Human-in-the-Loop principle to mitigate AI hallucinations, and integrating reference management software such as Zotero and Publish or Perish. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' understanding and technical skills in extracting literature data, measuring publication impact, and automating reference management. In conclusion, the integration of the SLR method, ethical AI utilization, and digital reference tools optimally enhances the efficiency and quality of students' scientific writing while strictly maintaining academic integrity for future publications.
