Abstract

This paper aimed to identify: 1) the participant’s ability or disability to implement and utilize what they had learned, and 2) the participants’ financial behavioral changes and attitude changes towards managing money. Using the convenience sampling method, thirty attendees of the managing-money training project were selected to participate in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). The interview questions were based on the OECD/INFE questionnaire of adult financial literacy. From the FGDs, it was found that most participants mainly relied on agricultural business, labor work, or private micro or small businesses. The FGDs also revealed that the participants had a general understanding of the basic financial knowledge, the implementation of income and expense tracking, budgeting as well as savings. Doing a family account was reported to be a new activity among the participants’ families. Children’s behaviors on expenses and irregular income streams were also found to be the major causes of their financial pressure. Developing the ability to balance income and expenses can be one solution for them to live without debt. However, some of the participants said that they did not have financial goals and would rather live for today than plan for tomorrow. Keywords: finance, saving-behaviors, money-management

Abstract

Media are considered very important to meet the objectives to be achieved during the teaching and learning process. Media are used so that the students can enthusiastically participate in the learning process. However, due to the situation during this pandemic, all teaching and learning activities were carried out online. This research aims to determine students' interest in participating in the online way when given learning videos. This study used a pre-experimental quantitative method with one group pre-test post-test design. The results of this study have shown that there was an increase in the learning process when using learning videos. After giving the treatment, students eagerly want to know and were highly motivated in taking part in the learning process. Besidesm they were not bored when doing assignments given by the teacher. The increase in student learning that occurs is included in the moderate category, namely 0.42 based on the results of the normalized gain test (N-Gain). Based on the data analysis using a Gain test, the result is 0.41. The second class experienced an increase in participating in learning activities when given a learning video in the medium category. It is also said to be in the medium category because 0.7 g ≥ 0.3.  the, from the result of the questionnaire regarding the use of interesting and educational learning videos, the parents and students agreed to use instructional videos. It is because by using learning videos of sufficient time, students easily understand the material taught by the teacher. Abstract

This study aimed to find out the economic performance of Indonesia based on the net export values measured annually by the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency. The data collected from the agency to be used for this study were the total monthly export and import values of Indonesia from 2015 to September 2020. A descriptive qualitative approach was used for data analysis. The results showed that Indonesia had the poorest economic performance in 2018 and 2019 because the export values in these two years were much lower than the import values. Good economic performances of Indonesia was found in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2020 (January to September) because the export values during these years were greater than the import values. The best performance was in 2020 with the highest net export value of all. Thus, in the last six years, it can be said that the Indonesian economic performance was not excellent, but it was still fairly good. Keywords: Net Exports, Exports, Imports, and Economic Performance
