Abstract

This study aims to determine the success of implementing the mind mapping method in increasing student interest and achievement in Indonesian subjects. The data collection technique of this research is observation, distributing questionnaires and daily tests. Observation data collection techniques using observation sheets about student learning interest and student completeness. The questionnaire distribution technique uses a questionnaire that will be filled in by students and the test technique uses a question sheet. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with a research procedure of 2 cycles, each cycle for 3 meetings. The results of the study proved that students were very happy or enthusiastic about taking lessons using the mind mapping method. Students are also very active in following lessons. The teacher's appearance and the material presented are quite good, engaging and easy for students to accept. At the time of the test, all students seemed busy in doing the assignment and all students could complete the task well.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the approach of history teachers in the implementation of character education at SMA Negeri 4 Bengkulu Selatan. This study used a qualitative research design with a descriptive tife. This research was conducted at SMA negeri 4 Bengkulu Selatan. Dara were collected by in-depth inteviews, document analysis and observation. The data analysis was carried out using Milleas & Huberman’s Interactive Model, which consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclution. Based on the research that has been done, the following results were fount: 1) the implementation od character education in history learning at SMA Negeri 4 Bengkulu Selatan was carried out using two main approach, namely the integrated learning approach and habituating approach; 2) an integrated approach to learning is carried out with four main strategies, namely value analysis, value clarification, storytelling method and cooperative learning model; 3) the habituating approach is carried out with three main strategies, namely praying before and after stuying, time discipline, and shaking hand.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low ability of students to read at the beginning, so the researchers applied the SAS method in order to help students who still had difficulty reading. This study aims to determine the difference between the pretest and posttest by applying the synthetic analytical structural method (SAS) in reading the beginning of grade II elementary school students and to determine the increase in the pretest and posttest in reading the beginning of students. This type of research is a type of pretest-posttest one group pre-experimental design, which is an experiment that is only carried out in one group, without comparison. This research was carried out in class II SDN 004 Baturijal Hulu, Peranap sub-district with a total of 29 students. Based on the research results, it was found that the average value of reading ability before being treated (pretest) was 51.68 while the average value of reading ability after treatment (posttest) was 88.65 and the average value of normality gain was 0.76 which including the high category and the results of hypothesis testing using t-test with t = 47.191 and t table = 2.045, it is concluded that t count> t table, then reject H0 means significant. This means that there is a significant increase in pre-test reading in grade II students between before (pretest) and after (posttest) applying the Synthetic Structural Analytical (SAS) method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in the ability of teachers to apply innovative learning with the Think-Talk-Write strategy in small groups as an alternative to improving the learning outcomes of Islamic Education in the material of Rasul-Rasul that is the Lover of Allah SWT. Think-Talk-Write (TTW) is a learning model developed by Huinker and Laughlin. In this learning model, students are encouraged to think, talk, and then write about a topic. This action research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib in Class XI, with 29 students consisting of 27 Muslim students and 2 non-Muslim students. This research took place in Semester Two of the 2018/2019 Academic Year. The data collection technique of this research was observation, distributing questionnaires and daily tests / tests. From the learning activities with the Think-Talk-Write strategy in small groups that have been conducted in this study, it can be seen that there has been an increase in learning outcomes. Therefore, this learning approach is very suitable in class to help students enlarge their knowledge.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, which is still ongoing in Indonesia, it is unlikely that you will be able to hold face-to-face learning activities in classrooms or meeting rooms.Many education and training activities have been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Whereas currently, there are many middle school or madrasah teachers who want to take part in education and training activities to increase competency for prospective laboratory heads.In the education and training of prospective heads of laboratories/workshops school/madrasah, the organizers have prepared an e-learning or online education and training system.In this online education and training, organizers use the zoom meeting application as a learning tool.From the background, the purpose of this study is to provide an overview / description and explanation of the use of zoom meetings in online education and training for prospective heads of laboratories/workshops school/madrasah using qualitative descriptive methods and filling out questionnaires. The conclusion of this research is that training participants can use the zoom meeting application during online education and training easily and the use of the zoom meeting application has several features that can support and be a great solution to help facilitate all learning processes, especially in online education and training for prospective heads of laboratories/workshops school/madrasah during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low student learning outcomes in the historical subjects of class IV IPA at SDN 006 Sencano Jaya. Based on these problems, the formulation of the problem in this study is whether the application of the predict-observe-explain (POE) learning model can improve the learning outcomes of class IV students of SDN 006 Sencano Jaya. The purpose of this study is to find out the activities of teachers and students in the implementation of the learning process by using the predict-observe-explain (POE) model and to determine the effect of this learning model on learning outcomes of students of class IV SDN 006 Sencano Jaya on sains subjects. This research was conducted in two cycles, in the first cycle the learning outcomes of students reached 85.18% classical completeness and increased in the second cycle reached 100%. Based on the results of these studies it can be concluded that the application of the predict-observe-explain (POE) learning model can improve student learning outcomes in the sains lesson of the IV class at SDN 006 Sencano Jaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to improve learning outcomes, improve science learning activities for fourth grade students of Madina SD Negeri 002 Terpadu Kuok, Kuok District, Kampar Regency and to motivate teachers to develop learning models and strategies in the science learning process. The research model is Classroom Action Research. This study uses a Discovery Learning model. The application of Classroom Action Research has the objective of improving and or increasing science learning achievement. The results showed: (1) By using the Discovery Learning-based learning model in science learning, student learning outcomes in each cycle experienced significant changes. Student learning outcomes in cycle 1 an average of 71.60 with completeness 22.72% then increased in cycle 2 an average of 85.93 with completeness 95.45% with 21 students complete and 1 student who has not completed. Students who are active in learning reach 92%. After the implementation of the appropriate Discovery Learning-based learning model, the activities and achievements of science learning in Grade VI Madina SD Negeri 002 Integrated Kuok can increase.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for historical digital learning materials in learning history by integrating the multicultural values of the loyal heart of Pencak silat to increase student tolerance. This study uses a research and development (R & D) method with the ADDIE development model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) (Aldoobie, 2015). The subjects used as informants at this stage include teachers who teach history subjects in class XI IPS and 30 students in class XI IPS 3. The data collection of this preliminary study is carried out through literature studies, observations and interviews. Data processing uses two types of data analysis, flow analysis (flow analysis models) and interaction analysis (interactive analysis models). The research results show that there are several problems when learning history in the classroom. Firstly, the teaching materials used so far in the form of textbooks and worksheets (student worksheets) are not of maximum value and do not meet the needs of students in the classroom. The learning process is therefore boring and does not interest students. Secondly, the availability of historical teaching materials containing tolerance is still lacking. On this basis, it is necessary to develop additional teaching materials that can support the use of textbooks and worksheets (student worksheets), as well as more effective and innovative teaching materials, adapted to the development of science and technology. The teaching material offered is a digital teaching material integrated with the multicultural values of the Setia Hati Terate fraternity.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' understanding through the use of problem solving methods in learning of PAI for material on faith in qadha and qadar.The research subjects were students of class XII MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Koto Gasib with a total of 31 students. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The research design consisted of 2 cycles.Data collection techniques in this study using tests, observation, interviews and documentation studies.Quantitative data analysis uses a statistical approach and qualitative data uses a logical approach. For learning outcomes, there was a significant increase in each cycle, namely: cycle I with a total value of 2243 with an average score of 77.34 and observations proved that students had started to be active but students' understanding of the material was still low. Whereas in the second cycle the total value was 2555 with an average value of 88.10 and the results of observations made through the observation sheet proved that in the second cycle the students had seen that they were very active in their learning and the value obtained was above the minimum score achievement criteria. has been determined.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning model on students' reading comprehension skills. This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of research Quasy Experiment Design. Experimental research is research that is intended to determine whether or not there is a result of "something" imposed on the subject under investigation. In other words, experimental research tries to examine whether there is a causal relationship. The trick is to compare one or more experimental groups that were treated with one or more control groups who did not receive treatment. The data collection instrument was in the form of test questions that were distributed to all research samples. While the research data analysis technique used descriptive analysis, the prerequisite test used the analysis of normality and homogeneity. Meanwhile, to answer the hypothesis results using the Two-Way ANOVA test. The results of the two-way ANOVA test analysis show that a significance value of 0.000 ˂ 0.05 is obtained, it can be concluded that learning using the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition model has a significant effect on students' reading comprehension skills.
