Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of virtual and real Arduino-based learning at SMP Dharma Wiweka in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed an experimental design involving two groups of Grade IX students: a virtual group using Tinkercad and a real group using physical Arduino devices. The research instruments consisted of pre-tests, post-tests, and observations of psychomotor skills. Data analysis was conducted using ANOVA, N-gain calculations, and the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The results indicate a significant difference between the two groups, with the real Arduino group achieving higher post-test scores and N-gain values (0.65; moderate category) compared to the virtual group (0.47; low–moderate category). The ANOVA results further support this finding, with a p-value of 0.004 < 0.05. The PLS-SEM analysis reveals that learning effectiveness does not have a significant direct effect on learning outcomes (); instead, learning outcomes are more strongly influenced by the type of learning media used. Therefore, real Arduino-based learning is more effective in improving students’ learning outcomes and skills than virtual simulation-based learning. The research outputs include an Arduino teaching module aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The development of cloud computing-based computer network technology requires flexible, scalable, and efficient infrastructure. This challenge has an impact on computer network learning, which still relies heavily on theoretical approaches and physical laboratories with limited equipment and costs. This study aims to examine the development of an Integrated Learning Lab as a simulation-based network learning medium using Network Function Virtualization (NFV) on the OpenStack platform. The methods used are literature review and conceptual analysis of the concepts of NFV, OpenStack, and integrated learning laboratory models in the context of computer network education. The results of the study show that NFV enables network functions such as routers, firewalls, and load balancers to run virtually as Virtual Network Functions without dependence on special hardware. OpenStack acts as a Virtualized Infrastructure Manager that centrally manages computing and network resources, thereby supporting realistic NFV simulations. The discussion shows that the NFV and OpenStack-based Integrated Learning Lab has the potential to improve students' conceptual understanding and practical skills, while providing a flexible and efficient learning environment. This study concludes that the laboratory model is relevant for application in computer network learning to bridge academic needs and the demands of the modern network industry.

Abstract

The decline in global and national economic growth encourages investors to be more careful in making investment decisions, especially in the sharia capital market. This research aims to form an optimal sharia stock portfolio in the IDX Shariah Growth index using the Sharia-Compliant Capital Asset Pricing Model (SCAPM) method as a development of CAPM in accordance with sharia principles. This research is an applied research with a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of the monthly closing price of IDX Shariah Growth shares for the period December 2022 to May 2025 as well as sukuk yield level data from the Ministry of Finance. The analysis is carried out by applying SCAPM to estimate expected returns, risks, and form an optimal portfolio, with the help of Microsoft Excel. The results of the study show that of the 30 stocks listed in the IDX Shariah Growth index, there are 10 stocks that meet the criteria as optimal stocks and can form an efficient portfolio. Among several portfolio alternatives, the portfolio with the highest number of returned stocks is chosen as the optimal portfolio because it produces the highest returns with still acceptable risk, as indicated by the highest Sharpe ratio value as well as performance above model expectations.

Abstract

Technological advancements have a significant impact on life, especially in the business world. Businesses without technological support will lose out in the competition. One common business venture among today's society is the home business or home industry. Home businesses run by entrepreneurs are easier to grow because they are managed personally with minimal capital and are more in touch with the surrounding community. The Chili Oil Dumpling Product is one such home business operating in the culinary or food industry. Initially, the Chili Oil Dumpling Product home business only served small-scale orders. Eventually, the Chili Oil Dumpling Product business grew and became more well-known in the surrounding community. Until now, the Chili Oil Dumpling Product home business was only known by its owner, without a brand or business name. To gain greater recognition and establish a distinctive product, the business logo was created, namely Pangsit Chili Oil. A team of DPL lecturers for community service assisted in creating the Chili Oil Dumpling Product logo using the Canva application. By creating a logo using Canva, the Chili Oil Dumpling Product home business was able to create an attractive logo easily and simply.

Abstract

Character education plays a crucial role in addressing moral and social challenges in contemporary Indonesia. The 7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children program, which includes waking up early, enjoying worship, exercising regularly, consuming healthy and nutritious food, enjoying learning, engaging in social interaction, and going to bed early, represents a practical effort to instill positive values from an early age. This study aims to examine the relevance of the program and its integration with Islamic educational values using a tarbawi interpretation approach. The research employs a qualitative literature study with content analysis of Qur’anic verses and classical and contemporary tafsir sources related to education and character formation. The findings indicate that the seven habits are consistent with the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, which emphasize moral integrity, discipline, balance, and social responsibility. Integrating Qur’anic values into this program can strengthen the implementation of character education in family, school, and community settings. Therefore, the program has the potential to contribute to the development of Indonesian children who are not only competent in worldly affairs but also possess character and behavior aligned with Islamic values.

Abstract

Fine motor skills play an important role in supporting the independence and learning activities of children with intellectual disabilities, but intellectual limitations and motor coordination often become obstacles in mastering these skills. This study aims to improve the fine motor skills of children with intellectual disabilities through the application of sewing skills. The study uses a classroom action research (CAR) approach with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which is carried out in two cycles, including the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were three fifth-grade students with intellectual disabilities at SLB Negeri Weri Larantuka. Data were collected through sewing performance tests and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively by comparing fine motor skill scores in each cycle, as well as descriptively and qualitatively through observation results to see changes in student behavior and involvement during learning. The results showed an increase in fine motor skills in each cycle, as seen in the increased neatness of the stitching, accuracy in following patterns, and eye-hand coordination. At the end of cycle II, all research subjects achieved scores above the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). Thus, jelujur sewing skills proved to be effective as an alternative functional learning method to improve the fine motor skills of children with intellectual disabilities

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' understanding in appreciating literary works in the form of films, particularly the film Budi Pekerti by Wregas Bhanuteja. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a structural approach. The research subjects are students in class VIII.1 at SMP Negeri 1 Parindu. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation study, and written tests in the form of essays. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and was supported by content analysis of the students' answers based on the intrinsic elements and moral values of the film. The results of the study show that students are generally able to understand the plot and content of the film well and identify moral values such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and wisdom in social media. Students also demonstrated an ability to appreciate the literary elements in the film, although some were still at the descriptive stage and had not yet reached the stage of interpreting implied meanings. The obstacles encountered included technical aspects of film presentation and difficulty in understanding symbols and implicit messages. Thus, the film Budi Pekerti is considered relevant and effective for use as a medium for teaching literature and as a means of character building in Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level.
