Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of group guidance integrated with reality counseling on the assertive behavior of students at SMP Negeri 4 Gunungsitoli Selatan. The research applies an associative quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis to test the proposed hypotheses. The population consists of 158 students enrolled at the school, while the sample was selected through purposive sampling, specifically Class VIII-A with a total of 28 students. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression to determine both simultaneous and partial effects of the independent variables on assertive behavior. The findings indicate that group guidance combined with reality counseling is highly effective in enhancing students’ assertive behavior. Prior to the implementation of the intervention, students’ assertive behavior was categorized as low. After receiving the group guidance service based on reality counseling principles, their assertive behavior significantly improved and reached a very good category. The analysis demonstrates a statistically significant influence, both jointly and partially, confirming that the intervention contributes meaningfully to the development of students’ assertiveness.

Abstract

This study was grounded in findings indicating a decline in academic achievement and various forms of learning difficulties originating from both internal and external student-related factors. The research aimed to examine the implementation of individual counseling services using the Person-centered therapy technique in addressing students’ learning difficulties at SMP Negeri 2 Gunungsitoli Idanoi. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research subjects consisted of school counselors and students experiencing learning difficulties. Data were analyzed systematically through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to ensure coherent and in-depth interpretation. The findings revealed that the implementation of individual counseling using the Person-centered therapy technique effectively assisted students in identifying the sources of their learning difficulties, enhancing self-awareness, and fostering greater motivation and responsibility in the learning process. A warm, empathic, and unconditionally accepting counseling relationship emerged as the key factor contributing to the success of the intervention. These results affirm that a person-centered approach represents an effective guidance and counseling strategy for improving students’ learning quality and supporting their sustained personal and academic development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of teachers in shaping the discipline and manners of fourth-grade students at Kandelu Kutura State Primary School, as well as to identify the characteristics of students and the factors that hinder their development. The study uses a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The research subjects consisted of 20 fourth-grade students and one homeroom teacher. The research was conducted at Kandelu Kutura State Elementary School, West Wewewa District, on 6–8 August 2025. Data were collected through observation of learning activities, in-depth interviews with teachers, and supporting documentation, then analysed using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the role of teachers in shaping discipline and manners was carried out through setting an example, habit formation, enforcement of rules, and giving advice. However, the students' discipline and manners have not developed optimally, as evidenced by tardiness, late submission of assignments, lack of neatness in dress, and low use of polite language and mutual respect. The main inhibiting factors include students' habits outside of school, lack of parental supervision, and consistency in enforcing rules

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing a Project Based Learning (PjBL) based learning module on students' creative thinking abilities in solid geometry material through the creation of a Batak Toba traditional building miniature in junior high school. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the non-equivalent control group type. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that received treatment using the PjBL-based module and the control class that used conventional learning. Data collection techniques were conducted through pretests and posttests using mathematical creative thinking ability test instruments referring to indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Data were analysed through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and Independent Sample t-Test. The results show that the data are normally distributed and homogeneous. The hypothesis test obtained a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the creative thinking abilities of students in the experimental and control classes. Thus, the implementation of the PjBL-based learning module through a Batak Toba traditional building miniature project has proven effective in enhancing the mathematical creative thinking abilities of junior high school students

Abstract

Government procurement contracts for goods and services are public legal instruments that are prepared to ensure legal certainty, accountability, and financial protection of the state. In its implementation, contracts often undergo changes due to the technical and operational dynamics outlined in the contract addendum. The implementation of the 2024 Indonesian Nutrition Status Survey (SSGI) has experienced various technical and operational obstacles that require contract adjustments through several addendums, including the addition of honorariums for the Regency/City Technical Person in Charge (PJT). The problem arose when the Financial Audit Agency found an overpayment and recommended a return to the state treasury, thus giving rise to a difference in legal interpretation regarding the validity of the addendum. This study uses normative legal research methods with a statutory and conceptual approach, supported by empirical data as a complement to the analysis. The results of the study show that contract addendum can legally be used as an instrument for amending agreements and alternative non-litigation dispute resolution, but in the context of government procurement, its applicability is limited by the principles of legality, accountability, and compliance with state financial management. Addendum that does not meet an adequate legal and administrative basis cannot be used as a valid basis for payment.

Abstract

This study examines the importance of integrating Qur’anic values into the design of modern learning based on Student-Centered Learning (SCL) for the reinforcement of students' character development. SCL, which places students at the center of the learning process, provides students with the opportunity to be more active in determining their learning direction. Qur’anic values that teach honesty, patience, empathy, and compassion can serve as a moral foundation in shaping students' character and noble conduct. This article highlights how the application of these values in learning can strengthen character formation, enrich learning experiences, and support holistic personal development. With this approach, it is expected that students will not only develop academically but also in social and moral aspects. Despite challenges in its implementation, collaboration between teachers, students, parents, and the community will strengthen the success of this integration in sustainable character education.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in analysing information at primary school requires students to have critical thinking skills in understanding, interpreting, and drawing conclusions from texts. However, learning that is still dominated by conventional methods causes students to be less active and have difficulty identifying important information and providing logical reasons. One of the contributing factors is the limited use of interactive learning media. This study aims to develop interactive animated videos on the subject of analysing information to improve the critical thinking skills of Phase C students at SD Muhammadiyah Wiwitan, Luwu Regency. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 25 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, expert validation, and pre- and post-tests. The results showed that the interactive animated video developed was highly valid based on the assessment of subject matter and media experts. The practicality test showed that the responses of teachers and students were highly practical. In addition, the effectiveness test showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills based on a comparison of pretest and posttest results.

Abstract

Digital transformation has influenced educational activities and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in rural areas, including in Lubuk Banjar Village. The use of digital technology by educators and MSME actors facilitates learning and business management, but also increases the risk of digital security threats such as account hacking, online fraud and data misuse. This community service activity aims to improve digital literacy and awareness among educators and MSME actors as part of efforts to strengthen village defence and security. The method of implementation was through socialisation and interactive training activities involving the village's younger generation as facilitators and mentors, with material covering secure password management, digital fraud prevention, and digital asset protection. The activities were carried out through material presentations, discussions, case simulations, and hands-on practice. The results of the activities showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of maintaining digital account security, the ability to recognise various forms of online fraud, and awareness of the need to implement basic cybersecurity measures in educational and business activities. The synergy between the younger generation, educators, and MSME actors plays a strategic role in strengthening the digital resilience and security of Lubuk Banjar Village in a sustainable manner.
