Fokus Participative: Jurnal Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (JPPM) diterbitkan oleh Komunitas Peneliti Prodi Tadris Matematika-UIN Mataram adalah peer-reviewed journal yang memuat artikel-artikel ilmiah dari berbagai disiplin ilmu yang diadopsi dalam berbagai aktivitas pengabdian kepada masyarakat dan penelitian terapan lainnya. Abstract

This participatory action research-based service activity aims to find out the reality of early marriage which is one of the threats in destroying the younger generation. This needs serious attention from varies parties related parties, especially institutions related to this issue. To reduce the culture of early marriage through KKP-DR UIN Mataram activities, there are several programs related to efforts to reduce early marriage during the current pandemic. Data were collected by observation and interview methods with various informants, namely the community and village officials in Sesela, Tamansari, Jerigo and Montong Betok villages. The form of the program used is a socialization program. From the results of feedback and evaluation after the socialization program, it was found that public knowledge about the impact of early marriage is increasing, especially their awareness which is manifested by more intensely providing direction and advice between fellow citizens, especially to their children.

Abstract

The Teaching Campus Program is one of the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) programs in the form of teaching assistants to empower students in helping the learning process in junior high schools in various villages/cities, one of which is PTPN IV BAH JAMBI PRIVATE SMP, Simalungun Regency, Prov. North Sumatra. In this program, students are responsible for assisting the school in the teaching process, assisting technology adaptation, and assisting administration. In addition, students have a responsibility to improve students morals and increase students motivation and interest in learning during this pandemic. The results of this program are expected to grow social sensitivity in students to help the surrounding community, hone thinking skills in working together with both teachers and students across disciplines in solving problems they face, and develop students' insight, character, and Soft Skills, so that with collaboration above will the objectives that exist in the campus teaching program are achieved.

Abstract

This service activity is motivated by changes in the behavior of adolescents in Gumantar Village who are starting to show negative things, such as brawls or fights and speaking impolitely to older people. This behavior of course undermines the spiritual values ​​that exist in the teenager's personality. The method used in this service is Participatory Action Research which involves students who are carrying out participatory work lectures as the subject of the activity. The results show that the youth forum is a forum or space for youth to receive religious guidance and training that can improve their skills so that the deviant behavior that has appeared so far can be minimized.

Abstract

West nusa tenggara is one of the three provinces with the lowest Proficiency Dimension Index. The Village of Barabali as one of the areas in Central Lombok has the same problem. The low level of community literacy is due to the low level of The community education as well. The daily habits of people who don’t like to read makes them lack of literacy. Children and adolescents prefer to use the internet for entertainment rather than reading science. Therefore, efforts such a community services are needed to increase the literacy level from an early age, namely childhood. This service is carried out in three stages, which is observation, outreach, and implementation. Observation is taken to determine the condition of the community related to literacy levels and supporting infrastructure. Socialization campaign aims to introduce the community regarding the program being carried out and explain the importance of reading science in life. The implementation phase includes activities such as reading stories and fairy tales, drawing, making origami and others. Based on the results of the activities, public reading corners can foster children's interest on books. The reactivation of the reading room in Barabali Village made the children enthusiastic about it

Abstract

Pemenang Barat Village is one of the villages from the Pemenang sub-district which is classified as advanced and developing, marked by one of its livelihoods being obtained from tourism. The village of Pemenang Barat is also a village that adheres to three religions, namely Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism. These three people from the past have never had friction because they have been bound by the word 'Mempolong' which means the bond of brotherhood. The purpose of this service is to continue to maintain inter-religious harmony in the village of Pemenang Barat, Pemenang sub-district, North Lombok district by conducting the Mempolong Pemenang Conference. The research method that the author uses is the PAR (Participatory action research) method, this method model is that we as researchers are actively involved in finding the problem, finding solutions, and actively participating in activities to overcome these problems. The service participants came up with a solution by uniting activists, religious leaders, and cultural figures in the Conference of Mempolong Pemenang.

Abstract

This community service is motivated by teacher competence in elementary schools, which needs to be strengthened in developing students' early reading skills through the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) Approach. The aim is to provide competency support to teachers in grades I, II, and III in developing students' initial reading skills through the TaRL Approach. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR). This PAR is collaborative and participatory, proposing solutions to overcome real problems so that the desired change results are obtained in certain groups. For this reason, training or workshops and peer teaching are used in this service. Workshops strengthen teacher competence in developing students' initial reading skills through the TaRL Approach or deepen technical matters carried out in routines. Peer teaching is carried out to see and evaluate training results using the TaRL Approach. The teachers involved in this service were teachers at the Mataram City State Elementary School (MIN), totalling 12 people. The teachers applied practice learning to read beginning through the TaRL Approach. Servants guide and assess the implementation of the TaRL Approach practised by teachers and provide feedback. Constructive suggestions and input were given to teachers. The results show that (1) the teachers describe the experience and knowledge of students' early reading; (2) teachers practice the TaRL Approach in developing students' early reading skills; (3) the teachers responded to this community service activity by stating that they strongly agreed with the TaRL Approach in developing students' early reading skills.

Abstract

Guaranteeing interest in learning so that it remains good during the pandemic is an important thing to do. The purpose of this research is to increase students' interest in learning mathematics using the science edutaiment method. The stages in carrying out activities are in the form of: Observation, interviews, identifying problems, finding solutions, outreach, and carrying out learning activities using the science edutaiment method. The results of the activity showed that students' interest in learning mathematics during the pandemic by providing tutoring using the science edutaiment method increased by 45% from the previous one.

Abstract

The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has had a very significant impact on people's lives, including the implementation of early childhood education. This service was initiated because of the condition of the people who were very confused with a learning system that was very different from the normal conditions that had been carried out so far, so there was a need for assistance, both for teachers at school and for parents who were at home because the learning system used the learning system from house. The method used consists of several stages, namely: initial survey/observation, visiting residents' homes to socialize activities, implementing community service, consultation and learning at school and at home, and evaluation. The results of the service show that teachers in early childhood institutions are greatly assisted by the presence of students who carry out community service by assisting in the implementation of learning, socialization of healthy living during a pandemic, and assistance to parents to ensure that the implementation of learning at home runs smoothly as expected by the teacher.

Abstract

Studying religious knowledge is very important for Muslims. Because studying religious knowledge can get two benefits at once, namely the advantage of understanding the world with the guidelines of Islamic teachings as well as a promise from Allah SWT for students of knowledge will get the best place in heaven. The Lightning Islamic Boarding School is an educational program created by young people at the Aqoidul Iman Sukarema Mosque while also working with KKP UIN Mataram students whose main goal in this program is to cultivate, improve, provide understanding, knowledge and teachings of the Islamic religion in the educational space of the Islamic boarding school system within a certain period of time. The Lightning Islamic Boarding School was created as a flagship program for KKP UIN Mataram students by guiding and teaching Sukarema village children in learning religious knowledge in a concise yet easy to understand way. Producing intelligent successors to science as well as actualizing it in life. The Lightning Islamic Boarding School program is important to increase the enthusiasm of the children in Sukarema Village for motivation in studying religion and at the same time increasing worship every day.

Abstract

The culture in Lombok cannot be separated from influences from Java and Bali. The service is carried out as a form of participation in the introduction and preservation of culture in Barabali Village. One of the efforts made to facilitate the preservation of culture in the village of Barabali is the establishment of Bale Sangkep. This building is used as a place to hold village meetings and traditional schools. Traditional schools teach the community, especially the younger generation, the Sanskrit language, sasak songs, and the Merariq tradition that applies in Barabali Village. The regular use of Bale Sangkep begins in 2020. With this Bale Sangkep, the younger generation can better understand the traditions that exist in society. Based on the interviews and activity participation at Bale Sangkep, efforts that can be made to preserve the customs that have been handed down from the ancestors include: 1) traditional schools, 2) use of Bale Sangkep, 3) active participation of the community, 4) development of insight, 5 ) application in daily life, 6) collaboration between generations, and 7) respect for cultural figures..
