Abstract

Along with the increasingly modern developments, higher education has a significant contribution to improving the quality of human resources. However, the lack of student motivation to continue on to tertiary education is one of the indicators that we need to address. This activity aims to motivate MA/SMA/SMK students to continue their studies at tertiary institutions and official services, as well as to increase knowledge, understanding, and master strategies for passing into PTN and official services in 2022. This activity is carried out ONLINE through virtual zoom meetings and whatsapp group, targeting MA/SMA/SMK students. The stages of carrying out this activity, 1) Preparation by the service team and the ILBG Galileo Jember team, 2) online webinars every Sunday, especially on January 16, January 23, and February 6 2022, 3) Online assistance through washtapp ghroup, 4) Evaluation, 5) Reporting. The expected results of this activity include, 1) Increased motivation of MA/SMA/SMK students to enter tertiary institutions and official services, 2) Increased student understanding of strategies for passing to PTN and official services, 3) Increased student mastery in understanding material and test questions selection to enter tertiary institutions and official services, 4) students better understand how to choose the right major strategy.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the critical thinking skills of grade IV students at SD Negeri Johar Baru 15 through the application of a problem-based learning model. This activity was carried out 2 times, namely on 29 August 2022 and 12 September 2022. All 23 grade IV students participated in the activity. The implementation method includes five steps: 1) Orientation of students to the problem; 2) Organizing students to learn; 3) Guiding investigations; 4) Develop and present the work; 5) Analyse and evaluate the problem solving process. Critical thinking skills include four indicators: 1) Formulating problems; 2) Disclosing facts; 3) Give arguments; 4) Think inductively. Critical thinking ability data is obtained by administering a test at the end of each meeting. The results of the activity show that the indicator for formulating a problem at meeting 1 gets a score of 72, increasing at meeting 2 to 90; The indicator for disclosing facts at meeting 1 scored 68 and increased at meeting 2 to 86; For indicators giving arguments at meeting 1 getting a value of 70 increases at meeting 2 to 81; The inductive thinking indicator increased from 74 to 86. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model has improved the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students at SD Negeri Johar Baru 15

Abstract

The demands of globalization and the change of educational paradigms, bringing new policies in the field of education in Indonesia, namely the application of the curriculum MBKM (Merdeka Learning Kampus Merdeka), with the main characteristic is project-based learning that aims to develop soft skills and build the character of student profile Pancasila on pupils. In addition, today's science learning is still faced with challenges and problems, which are caused by the lack of participation of students in the learning process, lack of motivation and interest of students to learn science, inadequacy of learning materials with the needs and environment of students, inappropriate learning methods, as well as non-variative and innovative learning resources such as lack of use of tools. Then to solve this problem one of the ways you can do is by giving training to make science gear. So, the purpose of this activity is to train the teacher in making science gear, especially related to the use of ice cream sticks used as the basic material for building media structures of DNA and RNA. This dedication activity has been carried out locally, located in the Pondok Pesantren Attohiriyah Alfadiliyah Bodak, Central Lombok. The implementation of service activities has been carried out well, through three stages, namely, preparation, implementation, to evaluation and reporting. Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of farmer groups to understand increasing the productivity of dry land by implementing corn-peanut intercropping cultivation. The program that has been implemented is the application of science and technology, with the stages of activities, namely: 1) dissemination activities on optimizing dry land with the corn-peanut overlapping technique, selecting peanut corn varieties that are adaptive to dry land and shade, as well as plant cultivation techniques on land dry. This activity was carried out with a system of lectures and discussions between the Extension Team and the Farmers' Group, and 2) a demonstration plot program involving farmers from the preparation/planning of the program to the implementation of the demonstration plots. Farmers directly participate in planting, maintaining, comparing, and evaluating whether the implemented program will provide benefits or not. The results of the activity showed that the farmers participating in the extension were very responsive to the corn-peanut intercropping dissemination activity. This is reflected in the enthusiasm of the participants in asking questions and the discussions between the participants or extension workers. In addition, participants were also active in participating in every stage of activities such as selecting good seeds, making demonstration plots, planting, stockpiling, weeding, pest and disease control, and harvesting activities. There is a process of technological transformation of corn-peanut intercropping on the dry land of Mbawi Village, Dompu District, Dompu Regency, with the hope that farmers will be able to utilize the dry land by intercropping. Intercropping can increase land productivity with a Land Equivalent Ratio (LER) value of 1.3 compared to corn monoculture and 3.1 compared to peanut monoculture

Abstract

Project Based Learning is a student-centered learning model that builds and applies concepts in the final project by independently exploring and solving real-world problems. In this study, Project Based Learning learning was carried out by making learning videos about plant cuttings at SMAS ATTOHIRIYAH BODAK to improve students' existing competencies. The stages in this activity are the preparation stage which consists of identifying material and solutions for solving problems. Furthermore, the implementation stage consists of the process of making videos, video editing, and presentations. In the final stage, namely the evaluation and reporting stage which consists of evaluating learning videos and preparing activity reports. Based on the results of the activities that have been carried out, project based learning training activities are very useful for students, teachers and lecturers in developing their competencies to become facilitators in learning activities at the education unit level

Abstract

The impact of Covid-19 is being felt in all sectors of life, one of which is education. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning process changed from a face-to-face system to an online learning system. However, this learning system does not work effectively which has an impact on learning loss in children, especially for children in Ledongara. This impact was also felt by children in Ledongara - Southwest Sumba Regency - NTT. This condition is exacerbated by the location of the area which is above the hills and far from the crowds and access to electricity that has not been touched until the end of January 2022. The collaboration between STKIP Weetebula and UAJ Jakarta and BCA helped build a PLTS in Ledongara so that it can help residents in the area, especially children can facilitate learning activities in the evening. In the 2 years facing the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning process that has taken place in the Ledongara region has not been optimal. The transfer of knowledge that is expected to occur from the teacher to students cannot be carried out optimally so that it results in learning loss experienced by students. This learning loss condition is a condition that is not good because it will have an impact on decreasing the quality of education. The solution offered is the STKIP goes to village activity through tutoring activities, introduction to various science learning media, introduction to various simple practicum activities and Phet-assisted practicum related to science material. The training participants gave an extraordinary positive appreciation for the implementation of this activity because it can help improve students' understanding when they are still less effective during learning due to the pandemic and requested that this activity be carried out regularly

Abstract

PjBL learning training based on practicum tools and learning videos on caliper material and screw micrometers at the Attohiriyah Alfadiliyah Islamic Boarding School, Bodak, Central Lombok. Measurement using a screw micrometer and caliper is one of the materials taught in high school physics subjects. The problem faced is the tool's small size, making it difficult for students when the teacher demonstrates the tool. The solution that can be offered is to watch the learning videos on how to read caliper calipers and screw micrometers on a computer or mobile phone and can be demonstrated directly with measuring instruments. The use of visual aids and videos in learning really helps the effectiveness and efficiency of delivering messages and lesson content. The use of tools and videos of caliper and screw micrometer visual aids in learning effectively increases the average student understanding of the concept of measurement
