Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan validitas dan reliabilitas perangkat pembelajaran model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan media audiovisual untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep optika geometri. Jenis penelitian digunakan yaitu penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan rancangan penelitian pengembangan modifikasi  model Borg dan Gall. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu perangkat pembelajaran berbasis model inkuiri terbimbing berbantuan media audiovisual. Pengambilan data penelitian menggunakanlembar validasi yang dinilai oleh 4 validator ahli, terdiri dari  2 dosen pendidikan fisika dan 2  guru mata pelajaran fisika. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif dari penilaian validator terhadap perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Perangkat pembelajaran tersebut meliputi silabus, RPP, LKPD, video pembelajaran dan tes penguasaan konsep. Penelitian ini melakukan uji validitas dan reliabilitas untuk menentukan kelayakandari perangkat  pembelajaran. Data hasil validitas diperoleh nilai 3,33(silabus), 2,98 (RPP), 3,07 (LKPD), 3,08 (video pembelajaran) dan 3,00 (penguasaan konsep), sehingga rata-rata validitas perangkat pembelajaran berada pada kategori valid dengan tingkat validitas yaitu 3,09, selanjutnya yaitu uji reliabilitas, diperoleh hasil interval koefisien yaitu 0,886 (silabus), 0,808 (RPP), 0,829 (LKPD), 0,894 (video pembelajaran ) dan 0,702 (tes penguasaan konsep), sehingga rata-rata interval koefisien reliabilitas yaitu 0,823 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Kesimpulannya bahwa perangkat pembelajaran telah layak dalam arti valid dan reliable untuk digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Kata kunci : pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran; model inkuiri terbimbing; penguasaan konsep. ABSTRACTThis study aims describe the validity and reliability of the instructional guided inquiry model assisted by audiovisual media used in learning. The type research used is research development (Research and Development) with a modified development research design of the Borg and Gall model. The subject of this research is the XI IPA learning device at SMA Negeri 1 Gerung. Retrieval of research data through a validation questionnaire assessed by 4 validators, namely 2 physics lecturers and 2 physics teachers. The research data is in the form of qualitative and quantitative data from the validator's assessment of the learning tools developed. The learning tools include syllabus, lesson plans, student worksheet, video lessons and concept mastery tests. This study conducted a validity test to determine the characteristics and level of validity of the learning device. The validity data obtained were 3.33 (syllabus), 2.98 (RPP), 3.07 (LKPD), 3.08 (instructional videos) and 3.00 (concept mastery test). So that the average characteristics of learning devices are in the valid category with a validity level of 3.09, furthermore, the reliability test, the coefficient interval results obtained are 0.886 (syllabus), 0.808 (lesson plans), 0.829 (student worksheet), 0.894 (learning videos) and 0.702 (concept mastery tests). So that the average reliability coefficient interval is 0.823 with a very high category. The conclusion is that the learning device is feasible and reliable for use in learning. Keywords: development of learning tools; guided inquiry; mastery of concepts.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMengajar berpikir kritis kepada peserta didik di sekolah menengah telah menjadi perhatian dalam beberapa dekade terakhir.  Pembelajaran menggunakan model student oriented diharapkan mampu menggerakkan peserta didik berpikir kritis dan selanjutnya melakukan investigasi dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam pemecahan masalah fluida dinamis dengan model pembelajaran student oriented. Tujuan ini akan dicapai dengan melakukan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-postest. Penelitian melibatkan 17 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 8 di SMA Negeri 2 Mataram yang menjadi sampel penelitian. Kemampuan berpikir kritis diukur menggunakan 10 instrumen tes yang berbentuk essay. Instrumen tes yang digunakan telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnnya. Data kemampuan berpikir kritis dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran student oriented pada pemecahan masalah fluida dinamis pada peserta didik mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajarnya. Kata kunci : kemampuan berpikir kritis; model pembelajaran student oriented ABSTRACTTeaching critical thinking to secondary school has been a concern in the last few decades. Learning using the student-oriented model is expected to be able to move students to think critically and then carry out investigations in learning.The experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. This research involving 17 students of class XI MIPA 8 at SMA Negeri 2 Mataram as a research sample. Critical thinking ability were measured using 10 essay test items. The test instrument used has been tested for validity and reliability. The data of critical thinking ability were analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results showed that the application of the student-oriented learning model to solving dynamic fluid problems in students was able to improve their critical thinking skills and learning outcomes. Keywords: critical thinking ability; student oriented learning model

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problematic analysis of science learning based on local wisdom and the solution in terms of its solution in terms of several aspects, namely: curriculum, teachers, students, learning strategies, assessments, facilities and infrastructure. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research data was obtained through literature review and giving questionnaires to 65 respondents. The respondents came from 201 teachers who are alumni at one of the universities in Mataram City who are members of WAG IKA (WhatsApp Group Alumni Association). The questionnaire contains a list of six open-ended questions. The results of the study provide information that curriculum changes are expected to answer the needs of the times and consider local wisdom according to the characteristics of each region, these changes require mental changes from curriculum implementers. The quantity of teachers is sufficient but the quality of teachers still needs to be improved, especially in designing learning tools based on local wisdom. From the student factor, the role of parents as well as motivation and interest in learning is important to improve so that learning outcomes are as expected, and students also care about local wisdom in their neighborhood. For this reason, teachers need good learning strategies in planning local wisdom-based learning processes in the classroom by considering authentic assessments that are able to measure aspects of students' attitudes, knowledge, and skills in learning science. Facilities and infrastructure that can support science learning activities based on local wisdom include: library facilities, science laboratories, multimedia laboratories, and objects of local wisdom around students.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) integrated with local wisdom on Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and students' scientific attitudes. Local wisdom used is a tourist objects on the island of Lombok. The topic of learning is the interaction of living things on Senggigi Beach, Sesaot Forest, and Mount Rinjani. The research method used is quantitative with a posttest only control group design. The population of this study includes 6 classes with 172 7th grade students at SMP Negeri 16 Mataram. Samples were taken using cluster random sampling technique, class 7C became the experimental class (32 students), while class 7F became the control class (21 students). The HOTS test instrument is in the form of an essay while the student's scientific attitude instrument is in the form of an observation sheet. Statistical analysis used one-way MANOVA and analyzed using SPSS 25 application. Hypothesis test results showed differences in HOTS and students' scientific attitudes with PBL models and conventional learning. The mean of HOTS and scientific attitude in the experimental class is superior to the control class. The test of between-subjects effects for the HOTS variable and scientific attitude shows differences in HOTS and scientific attitudes due to differences in learning models. Therefore, the PBL model integrated with local wisdom has an effect on HOTS and students' scientific attitudes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop students' communication skills in the Physics Curriculum Study course through the use of Digital Worksheets. The subjects of this study were 23 students of class 5B. The student came from the Physics Education Study Program, University of Mataram, who attended the Physics Curriculum Study course in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The research instrument used was a student communication skill observation sheet with three indicators. Observations were made online at the Learning Management System (LMS) equipped with Digital Worksheets on the Discussion Forum menu. Observations were made every meeting, namely 14 times using a 4-scale rating score. The increase in score from the first meeting to the last meeting was calculated using N-gain. The average score of student communication skills is 79.5 which is in good criteria. The improvement of students' communication skills based on the calculation of N-gain is 72.7 which is in the high category. Thus, the use of Digital Worksheets can develop students' communication skills in the Physics Curriculum Study course.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce a product in the form of a discovery learning model to improve students' critical thinking skills in physics. The research design used is the 4D model which consists of define, design, develop and disseminate. Products developed in the form of a syllabus, lesson plans (RPP), material analysis, student worksheets (LKPD), and test instruments in the form of description questions. Data collection techniques using validation sheets and questions. The validity data were analyzed by determining the final mean value (NA) of the expert validators and practitioners. The improvement of critical thinking skills is analyzed using standard gain from the results before and after the learning process. Data validity results show that the learning device developed is at a very valid level with a final average value of 3.48 so that the developed device is suitable for use in learning. The data on the reliability results of the learning tools developed with an average value of 93.21% were included in the reliable category. The ability to think critically with discovery learning models has increased with a gain value of 0.38. Based on the results of these data, it can be concluded that the discovery learning model that was developed is effective to improve students' critical thinking skills in physics.Keywords: Learning tools, discovery learning model, critical thinking skills in physics

Abstract

Higher order thinking skills are one of the skills that are used as provisions for students to face competition in the era of globalization. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the discussion method of analysis of physics learning videos on students' higher order thinking skills. The subjects of this study were all 5th semester students who took the Physics Curriculum Review lectures in the 2020/2021 academic year at a university in the city of Mataram, totaling 64 people. The research method was quantitative, with a post-test only group design. Higher order thinking skills data were obtained from the essay test given after the treatment. Data analysis to test the hypothesis using one-way ANOVA and calculations using SPSS 25. The results showed that the value of the F coefficient of 16,846 with a significance of 0.000 is much smaller than the alpha value of 0.05. There are differences in higher-order thinking skills between students who take conventional discussion learning, students who take video analysis discussion learning, and students who take problem-solving learning. The follow-up test with the Tukey Test shows that the difference between class 1 and class 2 has a significance of 0.000, the difference between class 1 and class 3 has a significance of 0.003, and the difference between class 2 and class 3 has a significance of 0.048. All comparisons had a significance value less than an alpha value of 0.05, so further tests for all pairs of sample classes were significant. The average score of students who took conventional discussion learning was 78.45, the average score of students who took part in the video analysis discussion learning was 85.20, and the average score of students who took problem solving learning was 82.36. Thus, the class of students who took part in the video analysis discussion learning physics learning had the highest average compared to the other 2 classes. The discussion method of analyzing physics learning videos can be used as an alternative learning method to develop students' higher order thinking skills.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial attitude needs to be developed as early as possible so that students have the provision of life skills in the future. Students are expected to become job creators or entrepreneurs when they graduate from school so that students can quickly respond to changes. The purpose of this study was to analyze the science learning based on the Sasak tradition to develop students' entrepreneurial attitudes. The research method used is literature review derived from articles in national and international scientific journals. The results of the literature review show that entrepreneurial attitudes that can be developed include: achievement motivation, taking advantage of opportunities, being creative, innovating, committed, responsible, and independent. One of the science learning models that can facilitate the development of students' entrepreneurial attitudes is the 6E learning cycle model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Exhibit, Evaluate). This model can be related to the traditions of the Sasak tribe, such as weaving typical Lombok cloths that utilize the concept of substances and their characteristics, and making traditional snacks using conventional biotechnology concepts. An entrepreneurial attitude can be developed at each stage, especially at the Exhibit stage, students can exhibit products that have a selling value, such as Sukarara woven cloth and jajan poteng reket. Thus, science learning based on the Sasak tradition is expected to be a strong foundation for further education and to shape the entrepreneurial spirit of students so that they become a generation of superior and character.

Abstract

The Education Profession course is a course that equips students so that one day they can carry out the main tasks of professional teachers, namely educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing, and evaluating students. The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in the Professional Education course through the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) using the scientific article analysis method. This research was conducted in 6 meetings starting from March 2 2022 to April 6 2022. The subjects of this research included 22 students who attended the Education Profession course in Class II-C, in the Physics Education Study Program, University of Mataram. The research instrument for obtaining data on student learning outcomes uses essay tests given at the beginning of the meeting and at the end of the meeting. The increase in the score of learning outcomes after treatment in the form of implementing PjBL with the scientific article analysis method is calculated by the N-gain test. The results showed that the pre-test score was 51.2, while the post-test score was 80.3. Therefore, the N-gain value is 60.4 which is in the medium category. Thus, the implementation of PjBL using the scientific article analysis method has improved student learning outcomes in the Education Professions course.

Abstract

Menulis karya ilmiah merupakan salah satu keterampilan mahasiswa yang diperoleh melalui berbagai latihan menulis. Keterampilan tersebut perlu terus dilatih untuk mempermudah mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan berbagai lomba maupun tugas selama kuliah, termasuk tugas akhir (Skripsi). Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melatih mahasiswa calon guru dalam membuat artikel ilmiah sehingga dapat menambah wawasan pengetahuan tentang karya ilmiah. Pelatihan diikuti oleh 22 orang mahasiswa yang berasal dari enam universitas. Pelatihan dimulai sejak 23 Agustus 2022 hingga 29 November 2022, sebanyak 14 kali pertemuan. Pelaksanaan pelatihan dilakukan secara blended learning yakni: offline di Universitas Mataram, dan online melalui LMS dan WA Group. Peserta dibagi ke dalam enam kelompok dengan topik meliputi: 1) Etnosains; 2) Project Based Learning; 3) Evaluasi; 4) Metode Pembelajaran; 5) Miskonsepsi; 6) Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik. Dari enam artikel, diperoleh 2 artikel yang sudah dikirim ke jurnal tujuan untuk dipublikasi, sedangkan 4 artikel yang lain masih mengalami kendala dalam penyelesaian. Kegiatan pelatihan ini telah menambah informasi dan pemahaman bagi mahasiswa calon guru tentang Karya Ilmiah. Kegiatan pelatihan, terutama aktivitas pendampingan, membutuhkan waktu yang lebih banyak agar semua kelompok dapat menyelesaikan artikel yang layak untuk dipublikasi.
