Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan metakognisi siswa SMA dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika ditinjau dari kemampuan akademik siswa.Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas XI pada salah satu SMA yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria tertentu dengan teknik snowball sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes pemecahan masalah yang didukung oleh data hasil wawancara.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa,siswa berkemampuan matematika tinggi dan rendah memiliki kesadaran tentang fakta yang dimilikinya dan menyadari bagaimana menggunakan suatu strategi, namun hanya siswa berkemampuan tinggi yang memiliki kesadaran kapan dan mengapa suatu strategi seharusnya diterapkan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika, siswa berkemampuan akademik tinggi melibatkan tiga aspek pengetahuan metakognitif yakni pengetahuan deklaratif, pengetahuan prosedural, dan pengetahuan kondisional dengan baik sedangkan, siswa berkemampuan akademik rendah hanya mampu melibatkan dua aspek pengetahuan metakognitif yakni pengetahuan deklaratif dan pengetahuan prosedural.Kata Kunci: Metakognisi, Pengetahuan Metakognitif,Menyelesaikan Masalah MatematikaThis research is a descriptive research that aims to describe the metacognition of high school students in solving mathematical problems regarding students' academic abilities. The subjects were students in grade XI on a High School that selected based on certain criteria with snowball sampling technique. The data were collected through problem-solving test which was supported by interview data. Based on the research result, can be concluded thatstudents with high and low academical abilities had an awareness of the facts they had and were aware of how to use a strategy. However, only high-ability students had an awareness of when and why a strategy should be applied. It showed that in solving mathematical problemsstudents with high academical ability involve three aspects of metacognitive knowledge namely declarative knowledge, procedural knowledge, and conditional knowledge nicely, while students with low academical ability only involve two aspects of metacognitive knowledge i.e declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge.Keywords: Metacognition, Metacognitive Knowledge, Mathematical Problem-solving

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengkaji: (1) hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah diterapkan metode Probing Prompting setting kooperatif pada kelas eksperimen; (2) hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif pada kelas kontrol; (3) apakah metode Probing Prompting berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kedua kelas; (4) seberapa besar tingkat hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode Probing Prompting. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MIPA yang terdiri dari 6 kelas. Peneliti memilih dua kelas dengan menggunakan simple random sampling. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi dan tes. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistika deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil dari analisis statistika deskriptif adalah: (1) rata-rata hasil pretest dan posttest siswa yang diajar dengan metode Probing Prompting setting kooperatif dan model pembelajaran koperatif berturut-turut adalah: (i) 3.18 dan 64.76; dan (ii) 3.42 dan 52.35; (2) peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode Probing Prompting sebesar 64.76 dalam kategori sedang. Hasil dari analisis statistika inferensial adalah: peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan metode Probing Prompting setting kooperatif lebih besar dari peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif.Kata Kunci: Probing Prompting, Pembelajaran Kooperatif, Hasil Belajar.Abstract. This study is a quasi-experimental research that aims to identify: (1) student learning outcomes before and after applied cooperative Probing Prompting method in the experimental class; (2) student learning outcomes before and after applied cooperative learning model in the control class; (3) Probing Prompting method affected to student learning outcomes based on the increase of student learning outcomes from both classes; (4) the increase of mathematics learning outcomes of the students taught using Probing Prompting method. The population of this study is all students in grade X MIPA on six classes. The writer chose two classes using simple random sampling. The data were collected by using observation and test. The method of analyzing data used descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The result of descriptive statistical analysis is (1) the average of pretest and posttest results of the students taught using cooperative Probing Prompting method and cooperative learning model are: (i) 3.18 and 64.76; (ii) 3.42 and 52.35; (2) the increase of mathematics learning outcomes of the students taught using Probing Prompting method is 64.76 classified as moderate category. The result of inferential statistical analysis is the increase of mathematics learning outcomes of the students taught using cooperative Probing Prompting method is greater than cooperative learning model.Keywords: Probing Prompting, Cooperative Learning, Learning Outcames.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa climbers (AQ tinggi), campers (AQ sedang), dan quitters (AQ rendah). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP di Kota Makassar tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Pengambilan subjek dilakukan dengan memberikan angket Adversity Quotient. Dari hasil pengisian angket dilakukan pengkategorian subjek berdasarkan AQ yang dimilikinya. Selanjutnya diberikan tes pemecahan masalah matematika. Setelah melihat hasil tes, dipilih secara purposif tiga subjek yang mewakili siswa climbers (AQ tinggi), campers (AQ sedang), dan quitters (AQ rendah) untuk diwawancarai lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) Subjek climbers mengalami lebih sedikit kesulitan dalam memecahkan masalah dibandingkan subjek campers dan subjek quitters. Subjek climbers mengalami dua kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal pemecahan masalah matematika yaitu kesulitan konsep dan kesulitan operasi. 2) Subjek campers mengalami lebih sedikit kesulitan dalam memecahkan masalah dibandingkan subjek quitters. Subjek campers mengalami tiga kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal pemecahan masalah matematika yaitu kesulitan konsep, kesulitan prinsip, dan kesulitan operasi. 3) Subjek quitters mengalami paling banyak kesulitan dalam memecahkan masalah. Subjek quitters mengalami empat kesulitan dalam mengerjakan soal pemecahan masalah matematika yaitu kesulitan konsep, kesulitan prinsip, kesulitan operasi, dan kesulitan karena kecerobohan.Kata kunci: Deskripsi, Kesulitan, Pemecahan Masalah, Adversity Quotient, Bentuk AljabarAbstract. This research aims to know the difficulties of mathematical problem solving of climbers (high AQ), campers (moderate AQ), and quitters (low AQ). Retrieval of the subject is performed by providing questionnaire of AQ. From the results of the questionnaire, categorize the subject by type of AQ. Then giving the test of mathematical problem-solving. After giving the test, selected purposively three subjects based on climbers student (high AQ), campers (moderate AQ), and quitters (low AQ) to be interviewed. The results of the research show: 1) Climbers subject experience a little more difficulty in problem-solving compared to campers subject and quitters subject. Climbers subject experiences two difficulties in working the test of mathematical problem solving that are the conceptual difficulty and operational difficulty. 2) Campers subject experience a little more difficulty in problem-solving than quitters subject. Campers subject experience three difficulties in working the test of mathematical problem solving that are the conceptual difficulty, principle difficulty, and operational difficulty. 3) Quitters subject experience the most difficulty in problem-solving. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangi kesalahan siswa dalam operasi perkalian dengan menerapkan metode perkalian latis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah 24 siswa yang dipilih secara purposive. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VII dari salah satu SMP di Parepare. Tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Intrumen penelitian yang digunakan terdiri atas lembar observasi, soal tes, dan angket. Desain PTK menggunakan model Kemmis dan Tanggart yang meliputi perencanaan, tindakan/pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Skor rata-rata hasil tes matematika siswa setelah pemberian tindakan pada siklus I adalah 58,33 dari skor ideal 100 dan sebanyak 15 siswa yang melakukan kesalahan dalam operasi perkalian. Sedangkan skor rata-rata hasil tes matematika siswa setelah pemberian tindakan pada siklus II adalah 80,83 dari skor ideal 100 dan sudah tidak ada lagi siswa yang melakukan kesalahan. Kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal operasi perkalian bilangan bulat dan bilangan pecahan desimal terdapat  tiga aspek kesalahan yaitu kesalahan dalam memahami konsep, kesalahan proses penyelesaian, dan kesalahan penarikan kesimpulan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode latis dapat mengurangi kesalahan siswa dalam operasi perkalian ditinjau dari kemampuan awal siswa SMP di ParepareKata kunci: Kesalahan siswa, Operasi perkalian, Metode latis, Kemampuan Awal, PTK . This research aims to reduce the students error in multiplication operation by implementing latis multiplication method. Type of research is qualitative research by classroom action research methods. Research subject are 24 students which selected by purposive which is encountered errors in multiplication operations. This research conducted in class VII.1of on SMP in Parepare Academic year 2018/2019. Classroom action research design by using  Kemmis and Tanggart model which includes planning action/ implementation, observation and reflection. The result of research shows that the average score of math test results after giving the action in Cycle is 58.33 from ideal score 100 and there are 15 students which make a mistake in operation the multiplication. While the average score of math test result after giving the action in cycle ii is 80.83 from ideal score 100 and there is no more student that make a mistake. Students error in solving integer multiplication and decimal fraction operation problems there are three error aspects that are in understanding the concept, error solving process and error of inference. So that, it can be conclude that the implementation of latis method can reduce the student error in multiplication operation in terms of the initial abilities of students SMP in Parepare.Keywords: Student errors, multiplication operation, latis method, initial ability, classroom action research

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan model time token dengan pendekatan problem posing dalam pembelajaran matematika pada kelas VII SMP Negeri di Sungguminasa. Efektivitas pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini diukur berdasarkan capaian hasil belajar, aktivitas siswa, dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pre-eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII salah satu  SMP Negeri di Sungguminasa, Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari satu kelas.Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan angket, observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: (1) Skor hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dan mencapai skor kriteria ketuntasan minimal 75 dengan skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa  sebesar 80,73. (2) Tingkat ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 93%. (3) Aktivitas siswa beradapada kategori sangat baik. (4) Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berada pada kategori terlaksana dengan sangat baik. (5) Respon siswa berada pada kategori cenderung positif.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Time Token, dan Pendekatan Problem Posing Abstract. The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of time token model implementation with problem posing approach in learning mathematics in class VII SMP Negeri in Sungguminasa. The effectiveness of learning in this study is measured by the achievement of learning outcomes, student activities, and student responses to learning. This research is a pre-experiment research. The population in this research is all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 3 Sungguminasa. The sample of this study consists of one class. The sampling technique using simple random sampling. Methods of data collection using questionnaires, observations and tests. Data analysis techniques use descriptive and inferential analysis. The results of the analysis show: (1) Scores of student learning outcomes experienced a significant improvement and achieve a minimum score of 75 completeness criteria with an average score of student learning outcomes of 80.73. (2) Classical completeness level of 93%. (3) Student activity is in very good category. (4) The implementation of learning is in the category performed very well. (5) Student responses are in the category tend to be positive.Keywords: Effectiveness, Cooperative Learning Model of Time Token Type, and Problem Posing Approach

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran multimedia interaktif Pilar Baru (Pintar Belajar Bangun Ruang) dan mendeskripsikan kualitas media berdasarkan aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Desain penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi 5 tahapan yaitu analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar penilaian media oleh pakar materi, pakar media dan guru untuk mengukur kevalidan; angket respons dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran untuk mengukur kepraktisan; serta soal tes hasil belajar untuk mengukur keefektifan media. Ujicoba produk dilakukan kepada 36 siswa kelas VIII. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penilaian oleh pakar materi dan media diperoleh skor rata-rata 4,29 kemudian oleh guru diperoleh skor rata-rata 4,4 dengan kriteria sangat baik sehingga media yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid. Hasil analisis data angket respons siswa diperoleh skor rata-rata 4,57 dan respons guru diperoleh skor rata-rata 4,62 dengan kriteria sangat baik. Hasil observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukkan klasifikasi sangat baik dengan persentase mencapai 96,87%. Berdasarkan hal tersebut media dinyatakan praktis. Persentase ketuntasan klasikal dari tes hasil belajar siswa mencapai 80,6% sehingga media dinyatakan efektif. Kata kunci: pengembangan, multimedia interaktif. The purposes of this development research to develop interactive multimedia-based learning media Pilar Baru (Pintar Belajar Bangun Ruang) and describe the quality of media based on aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The design of this study refers to the ADDIE development model which includes 5 stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instruments were in the form of media assessment sheets by material experts, media experts, and teachers to measure practicality. and learning outcomes test questions to measure media effectiveness. Product testing was conducted on 36 students of class VIII. The results showed that the assessment by the material and media experts was obtained an average score 4.29 then the teacher obtained an average score of 4.4 with very good criteria so that the developed media was declared valid. The results of the questionnaire response analysis of students obtained an average score of 4.57 and the teacher's response obtained an average score of 4.62 with very good criteria. The results of observations of the implementation of learning showed a very good classification with a percentage reaching 96.87%. The percentage of classical completeness from student learning outcomes tests reached 80.6% so the media was declared effective. Keyword: development, interactive multimedia

Abstract

Absrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan self assessment dan assessment yang dilakukan oleh guru, mengetahui perbedaan nilai self assessment dan assessment yang dilakukan oleh guru, serta mengetahui perbedaan nilai rata-rata tes sebelum dan sesudah penerapan self assessment. Pengukuran terhadap hasil belajar siswa dilakukan terhadap kelompok belajar kelas VIII disalah satu SMP Negeri di Makassar. Sampel diambil dengan teknik random sampling. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar self assessment dan tes hasil belajar. Nilai hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan self assessment diperoleh nilai rata-rata 84.60 dan nilai hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan assessment yang dilakukan guru diperoleh nilai rata-rata 80.83. Perbedaan nilai self assessment dan assessment yang dilakukan oleh guru diukur melalui analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan SPSS 20.0 dan diperoleh hasil sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < α = 0.05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima sehingga hipotesis diterima. Adapun perbedaan nilai rata-rata tes sebelum dan setelah penerapan self assessment juga diukur melalui analisis statistik inferensial menggunakan SPSS 20.0 dan diperoleh hasil sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 < α = 0.05 yang berarti H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, yang berarti hipotesis diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan nilai self assessment dan assessmen yang dilakukan oleh guru serta terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata tes sebelum dan sesudah penerapan self assessment.Kata kunci: self assessment, hasil belajar, sistem koordinatAbsract. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes based on self assessment and assessment conducted by the teacher, knowing the difference in the value of self assessment and assessment carried out by the teacher, and knowing the difference in the average score of the test before and after the implementation of the self assessment. Measurement of student learning outcomes was carried out on the class VIII learning group of SMP Negeri in Makassar. Samples were taken by random sampling technique. Data retrieval method using the instrument used in this study is a self assessment sheet and learning outcomes test. The value of student learning outcomes based on self assessment obtained an average value of 84.60 and the value of student learning outcomes based on assessment conducted by the teacher obtained an average value of 80.83. The difference in the value of self assessment and assessment conducted by the teacher was measured through inferential statistical analysis using SPSS 20.0 and the results of the sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 <α = 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted so that the hypothesis is accepted. The difference in the average test scores before and after the application of self-assessment was also measured through inferential statistical analysis using SPSS 20.0 and the results of the sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 <α = 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, which means the hypothesis is accepted. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there are differences in the value of self assessment and assessment conducted by the teacher and there are differences in the average scores of tests before and after the application of self assessment.Keywords: self assessment, learning outcomes, coordinate system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) deksripsi hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar menggunakan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation dan pembelajaran Konvensional; (2) deskripsi rasa percaya diri atau Self-Confidence siswa yang diajar menggunakan model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation dan pembelajaran Konvensional; (3) pengaruh model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation terhadap hasil belajar matematika dan self-confidence siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah Kalosi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas XI IPA SMA Muhammadiyah Kalosi. Peneliti memilih dua kelas dengan teknik random sampling. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi, angket dan tes. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil dari analisis statistika deskriptif adalah rata-rata nilai hasil belajar matematika dan self-confidence siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation dan dengan pembelajaran Konvensional. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar matematika dan self-confidence siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar matematika dan self-confidence siswa yang diajar dengan pembelajaran Konvensional.Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif, Group Investigation, Hasil Belajar, Self-Confidence.Abstract. The research is eksperiment hat has purpose to know: (1) Mathematics Learning Achievement description of student who is thought by using cooperative learning type group investigation dan convensional learning; (2) Mathematics Learning Self-Confidence description of student who is thought by using cooperative learning type group investigation dan convensional learning; (3) influence of cooperative learning type group investigation towards Mathematics Learning Self-Confidence and Achievement Of Students at Class XI IPA Senior High School Muhammadiyah Kalosi. Researcher choose two classes by using random sampling. The data are obtained from observation, quetionnaire, dan test result. The data is analyzed by using descriptive statistical analysis dan infrential statistical analysis. The result is analyzed by using descriptive mean of achievement value and Self-Confidence score of student by using cooperative learning type Group Investigation dan convensional learning. The result in infrential statistical analysis show that student mathematics learning self-confidence and achievement who is taught by using cooperative learning type group investigation is better than student mathematics learning achievement and self-confidence who is taught by using convensional learning.Keywords: Cooperative Learning, Group Investigation, learning Achievement, Self-Confidence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa berkemampuan awal matematika tinggi dan kemampuan awal matematika rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri berbasis TIMSS untuk domain kognitif mengaplikasikan (applying) dan penalaran (reasoning). Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 2 orang dengan 1 orang berkemampuan awal matematika tinggi dan 1 orang berkemampuan awal matematika rendah dari siswa kelas VIII SMP. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan terdiri atas tes matematika berbasis TIMSS yang dikhususkan pada konten geometri domain kognitif aplikasi dan penalaran serta pedoman wawancara. Kesalaan yang dianalisis dikategorikan menggunakan kategori kesalahan Newman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Untuk kategori soal mengaplikasikan (applying), siswa kemmpuan awal matematika tinggi tidak mengalami kesalahan, sedangkan siswa berkemampuan matematika rendah mengalami jenis kesalahan transformation, process skills, dan encoding. (2) Untuk kategori soal penalaran (reasoning), siswa berkemampuan awal tinggi mengalami kesalahan tipe transformation, process skills, dan encoding sedangkan siswa berkemampuan awal rendah mengalami kesalahan tipe comprehension, transformation, process skills, dan encoding. This study aims to know the types of errors committed by students with high initial mathematical abilities and low initial mathematical abilities in solving TIMSS-based geometric questions for the cognitive domain of applying and reasoning. The type of this research is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The research subjects as many as 2 people with of 1 people with early mathematical abilities and 1 people with low initial mathematical abilities from class VIII SMP. The research instrument consists of a TIMSS-based mathematical test devoted to the geometry content of the cognitive domain application and reasoning and interview guidelines. The difficulties analyzed were categorized using the Newman error category. The results of this research showed that: (1) For the category of applying , students with high initial mathematical abilities did not have errors, while students with low mathematical abilities had types of transformation errors, process skills, and encoding. (2) For the category of reasoning, the errors type of the students with high initial mathematical abilities are transformation, process skills, and encoding while students with low mathematical abilities had comprehension, transformation, process skills, and encoding errors. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan translasi representasi visual ke representasi verbal siswa dalam memecahkan masalah sistem persamaan linear dua variabel.Tiga siswa dari kelas IX A dipilih sebagai subjek berdasarkan hasil tes kemampuan matematika.Proses pemecahan masalah yang dilakukan siswa ditinjau berdasarkan 4 langkah Polya. Tes pemecahan masalah berupa soal SPLDV yang diberikan kepada subjek lalu diwawancara terkait tes tersebut. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa subjek dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi mampu melewati semua indikator translasi antar representasi untuk setiap masalah yang diberikan. Subjek dengan kemampuan matematika sedang hanya mampu melewati semua indikator translasi antar representasi untuk satu masalah yang diberikan. Subjek dengan kemampuan matematika rendah tidak mampu melewati semua indikator translasi antar representasi.Kata kunci: Translasi, Representasi verbal, Representasi visual, Kemampuan matematika, SPLDV]This research aim to analyze translation of visual representation to verbal representation in solving two variable system of linear equation topic. three students of grade IX-A were selected as subject in term of result mathematic test.
