Abstract

Identifikasi sifat penting padi lokal perlu dilakukan untuk mengetahui potensinya yang dapat digunakan dalam program pemuliaan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakter atau ciri morfologi padi lokal Desa Anik Kecamatan Manyuke Kabupaten Landak. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Parit Haji Muksin 2 Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok      ( RAK). Percobaan menggunakan lima varietas padi lokal Desa Anik yaitu Poek Salayatn, Sarendah, Ragih, Mareka dan Poek PB dengan 3 (tiga) ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter yang berbeda dari kelima jenis padi lokal yaitu tinggi bibit, tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, jumlah anakan produktif, panjang daun, lebar daun, jumlah gabah per malai first heading, main heading dan umur tanaman. Karakter yang sama dari kelima jenis padi lokal yaitu bentuk lidah 2-cleft dan warna leher daun hijau muda. Faktor yang mempengaruhi keragaman sifat atau karakter dari padi lokal adalah faktor genetik dan lingkungan. Kata Kunci : Kabupaten Landak, Karakterisasi, Morfologi, Padi Lokal

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dosis kompos Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) dengan dekomposer Trichoderma harzianumyang terbaik terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman seledri pada tanahaluvial.Penelitian dimulai sejak tanam sampai panen dari tanggal 6 februarisampai tanggal 26 Maret 2015. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak.Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen lapangan dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan, 4 ulangan dan setiap ulangan terdapat 4 sampel tanaman, jumlah keseluruhan tanaman sebanyak 96 tanaman. Perlakuan sebagai berikut: (t0)pemberian 0,00 g kompos TKKS,(t1)pemberian 30,25 g kompos TKKS/polibag setara dengan 10% bahan organik, (t2) pemberian 257,12 g kompos TKKS/polibag setara dengan 13% bahan organik, (t3)pemberian483,99 g kompos TKKS/polibag setara dengan 16% bahan organik, (t4)pemberian 710,87g kompos TKKS/polibagsetara dengan 19% bahan organik, dan(t5) pemberian937,74 g kompos TKKS/polibag setara dengan 22% bahan organik. Variabel pengamatan : tinggitanaman (cm), jumlahdaun (helai), volume akar (cm3), beratsegartanaman (g), beratkeringtanaman(g), klorofildaun (Spad Unit), danJumlahAnakan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kompos  TKKS dengan dekomposer Trichoderma harzianummemberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil yang baikterhadap pertumbuhantanaman seledripada tanah aluvial. Semakin bertambah dosiskompos TKKS dengan dekomposer Trichoderma harzianummakapertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman seledri juga semakin meningkat.

Abstract

Nugget is a processed product that is mostly made from chicken meat. One of the alternative of chicken meat substitutes in processing nuggets is minced fish. Triggerfish can be used as the raw material for the making of nugget. Tapioca flour is needed as binder in the process of nugget making. Tapioca flour can be formulated with other ingredients such as pumpkin. The purpose of this study was to find the best formulation between tapioca flour and pumpkin to produce triggerfish nugget that can be accepted by consumers. The results showed that the treatment with the addition of pumpkin significantly affected the water content, carbohydrate content, taste, texture and flavor. The best treatment based on the effectiveness index test is 50 g of pumpkin and 200 g of tapioca flour. The physicochemical properties of triggerfish nuggets have an average water content 47,30%, ash 1,98%, protein 9,28%, fat content 13,39% and carbohydrate content 28,04%. Abstract

ABSTRACT  This study aims to determine the dose of banana skin and phosphate fertilizers as well as their interactions that provide the best growth and yield of cammon bean on alluvial. Research was conducted at Swadaya Street, Kubu Raya Regency, West Kalimantan Province, from February 18th, 2017 to April 20, 2017. This research uses Factorial Complete Random Design. The first factor of banana skin boashi (10,20,and 30 ton/ha) and the second factor was the dose of P (230,280 and 330)kg/ha). The variables observed in this study were flowering age, root volume, dry weight of plants, number of pods per plant and weight of pods per plant. The results showed that bokashi made of banana skin with dose of 30 tons /ha showed the best result on flowering age, root volume, and dry weight of plant. Phosphate application has not been able to increase the growth and yield of ccammon beans. There is no interaction between bokashi made of banana skin and phosphate in all observation variables. Keywords: alluvial, bokashi, phosphate, cammon bean.

Abstract

Coelogyne dayana (Rchb.) merupakan salah satu anggrek spesies yang berpotensi mengalami kepunahan. Keberadaan Coelogyne dayana dapat dipertahankan melalui perbanyakan dengan teknik kultur jaringan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi berbagai konsentrasi NAA dan BAP pada media VW bagi pertumbuhan eksplan Coelogyne dayana menggunakan eksplan tunas anggrek hasil kultur jaringan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Bioteknologi Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak yang berlangsung dari September hingga Desember 2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan percobaan faktorial dengan pola Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 2 faktor yaitu NAA dan BAP masing-masing terdiri dari 4 taraf (0,0 ppm, 0,5 ppm, 1,0 ppm, 1,5 ppm). Variabel yang diamati adalah waktu terbentuk akar, jumlah akar, waktu terbentuk tunas, jumlah tunas dan pertambahan jumlah daun. Data pengamatan diolah dengan ANOVA dan uji lanjut BNJ taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi NAA dan BAP yang efektif terhadap pertambahan jumlah daun anggrek Coelogyne dayana adalah tanpa NAA dan tanpa BAP. Perlakuan tanpa NAA memberikan hasil yang efektif terhadap jumlah akar, jumlah tunas dan pertambahan jumlah daun. Pemberian NAA 1,5 ppm memberikan nilai rerata tertinggi terhadap jumlah akar (5,77 helai), jumlah tunas (3,25 tunas) dan pertambahan jumlah daun (8,71 helai). Perlakuan BAP 0,5 ppm memberikan hasil yang efektif terhadap jumlah tunas dan pertambahan jumlah daun. Perlakuan tanpa BAP memberikan hasil yang efektif dan nilai rerata terbaik terhadap waktu terbentuk akar (17,86 HST), jumlah akar (6,26 helai) dan waktu terbentuk tunas (30,85 HST).Kata kunci: Coelogyne dayana, BAP, NAA, kultur jaringan, VW.

Abstract

Cover crop Mucuna bracteata type have important functions in maintaining and improving the quality of soil physical properties , particularly in the area called the land slopes. This study was conducted to determine the effect of cover crops or Legume Cover Corp types of Mucuna bracteata the physic properties of the soil at different levels of the slope in the oil palm plantation PTPN XIII District of Meliau. Sampling was done by random sampling on the ground with a slope flatland, moderately steep and steep .The studies conducted physics properties parameters that are bulk density , porosity , field capacity moisture content, permeability and soil aggregate stability and chemical properties is organic matter content , total nitrogen content and C/N ratio in the soil. Research results showed the soil with a moderately steep and steep has a high bulk density. On land with a flatland, moderately steep and steep has poorly porosity .Based on statistical analysis, field capacity moisture content each slope experiencing a significant effect. The highest permeability soil is moderately steep. At soil aggregate stability slope classes flatland, moderately steep, and steep has a massive aggregate stability The Very steady. As for the chemical properties of soil organic matter which medium content, low nitrogen content, and the C/N ratio is low on the ground with a slope flatland, rather steep and steep.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the attitude of the community towards waste (odor and dust), the presence of flies caused by livestock business, and the contribution of quail livestock business to the people around the quail, Siantan Hilir Village, North Pontianak Subdistrict, precisely at Budi Utomo Street, Taman Anggrek Complex. The duration of the study is 30 days, namely on December 17, 2018 until January 17, 2019. This type of research is survey research. The data sources used are primary data obtained from giving questionnaires, and secondary data obtained from agencies related to this study. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Data analysis used is descriptive statistical analysis, using a grouping model, simplification, and presentation such as frequency distribution tables and measurements using a Likert scale. The sample determined on the Slovin formula sample size amounted to 42 respondents. Variables of community attitudes with sub-variables of this observation are Waste, Smell, Flies, and Contributions. The overall results of the community's assessment of odor (85%), flies (81%), and waste (83%) showed very agreeable indicators which meant that people were very disturbed by the existence of quail livestock business in community settlements. While the community's assessment of contribution (36%) shows an indicator of disagreement which means that quail livestock business does not contribute to the surrounding community.  Keywords: Odor, Flies, Waste, and Contributions.

Abstract

An inventory is needed to assess the biodiversity in a particular area. An inventory of orchid diversity is a data collection and recording in a place where there are orchid species in the area with varying species diversity. This study aims to discover the diversity of orchid species in the Gunung Raya Conservation forest in Temajuk Village, Paloh District, Sambas Regency. The method used is observation with a limit of 10% of the area of Gunung Raya Conservation Forest which is 120 ha,The data collection technique is completed by exploring Gunung Raya Conservation Forest by observing along the traversed path. This research was divided into three forest types, i.e. coastal forest, valley forest and hilly forest. Based on the results of orchid research found, there are 5 types in coastal forests, 15 types in valley forests and 34 types in hilly forests, a total of 19 genus orchids were found, namely Arides, Agrostophyllum, Anoectochilus, Appendicula, Bulbophyllum, Coelogyne, cymbidium, Dendrobium, dendrochilum, Oberonia, Eria, Flickingeria, Liparis, Luisia, Nephelaphyllis, Trichochogil, Podochil Trichotosia, and Vanda. Abstract

The aim of this research was to find the drying rate of sago starch using greenhouse-effect dryer based on layer thickness and stirring frequency. This research used explorative experimental design consist of no-material treatment, 1 cm thickness with stirring frequency of 0, 2, and 4 times/hour, and 2 cm thickness and stirring frequency of 2 and 4 times/hour.  Observed parameters were sun radiation, dryer temperature, air humidity, drying rate, and material moisture content. The acquired data were analyzed descriptively. Sago starch drying showed drying rates as follows, thickness of 1 cm without stirring had drying rate of 1.39 kg/hour, thickness of 1 cm with stirring frequency of 2 times/hour had drying rate of 1.22 kg/hour, thickness of 1 cm with stirring frequency of 4 times/hour had drying rate of 1.67 kg/hour, thickness of 2 cm with stirring frequency of 2 times/hour had drying rate of 1.85 kg/hour, and thickness of 2 cm with stirring frequency of 4 times/hour had dring rate of 1.91 kg/hour.

Abstract

Storage of chicken egg without special treatment, only up to two weeks there will be a decrease in quality. An alternative in maintain the quality of chicken egg is applied edible coating. The purpose of this research to determine effect edible coating sago starch with the additional of kesum leaf extract to qualitys egg and determine effect the interactions between the aplication edible coating sago starch with the additional of kesum leaf extract during difference stored to qualitys egg. This research used a method experiment Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial pattern with two factors, namely the concentrations of kesum leaf extract (K) and difference egg storages (L) consisting of concentrations namely K0 (control), K1 (edible coating + 0% kesum leaf extract), K2 (edible coating + 0,6% kesum leaf extract) and K3 (edible coating + 1,2% kesum leaf extract) and egg storage time, namely L0 (0 days), L1 (7 days), L2 (14 days), L3 (21 days), L4 (28 days) and L5 (35 days). The observed variables is egg weight loss, yolk index, albumin index and haugh unit. Results of the Analysis of Variance showed the effect edible coating sago starch with the addition of kesum leaf extract and interaction the effect edible coating sago starch with the addition of kesum leaf extract on difference storage of very significantly (P<0.01) to haugh unit with averages 63,09 – 69,59, yolk index with average 0,204 – 0,327, albumin index with averages 0,035 to 0,058. It was concluded that the use edible coating  sago starch with the addition kesum leaf  exstract of 1,2% can maintain the quality of chicken egg until storage for 21 days.
