Abstract

This study aims to determine customer orientation as a determinant of business performance whichis mediated by innovation behavior and innovativeness in MSMEs in the field of handicraftproduction in Medan City. The research design of moderated multiple linear regression analysis isused as an analytical tool to determine how the influence between the independent and dependentvariables is moderated by the moderating variable. This research uses associative research with aquantitative approach. The population and samples in this study, namely to fill out the google formquestionnaire based on the owners and employees of the Handicraft SMEs, the population based ongender, based on age (20-60 years), based on the length of business establishment (1-20 years) asample of 100 owners Handicraft business in Medan City.The results show that customer orientationhas a significant effect on business performance (t count 3,007 and significance 0.000 <0.05),customer orientation has a positive and significant effect on innovation behavior (t count 5.741 andsignificance 0.000 <0.05), customer orientation has a significant effect on innovativeness (t count5.212 and significance 0.00 < 0.05), innovativeness has a significant effect on business performance(t count 2.256 and significance 0.026 < 0.05), innovation behavior has no significant effect onbusiness performance (t count -1.253 and significance 0.213> 0.05), innovation behavior mediatescustomer orientation towards business performance (t count 0.0014 and significance 0.00 <0.05)innovativeness mediates customer orientation towards business performance (t count 0.015 andsignificance 0.00<0 ,05 )

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine how the influence of the quality of training on employee performance through emotional intelligence at the Belawan Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office. The type of research used in this research is quantitative, the approach used is causality and inferential. The number of samples in this study were 100 respondents. This study uses path analysis techniques with the help of SPSS 23. Based on the tests carried out, the training variable is able to affect emotional intelligence by 17.7% and 82.3% is explained by other variables or factors. While the quality of training, emotional intelligence affects employee performance by 45.6%, the remaining 54.4% is explained by other variables or factors. The quality of training has a significant effect on emotional intelligence. The quality of training has a significant effect on employee performance. Emotional intelligence has a significant effect on employee performance. The quality of training and emotional intelligence together or have a significant effect on employee performance. Abstraksi Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh kualitas pelatihan terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui kecerdasan emosional pada Kantor Pengawasan dan Pelayanan Bea dan Cukai Tipe Madya Pabean Belawan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif, pendekatan yang digunakan ialah kausalitas serta inferensial. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 100 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis jalur (path analysis) dengan bantuan SPSS 23. Berdasarkan pengujian yang telah dilakukan, variabel kualitas pelatihan mampu memengaruhi kecerdasan emosional sebesar 17,7% sisanya sebesar 82,3% dijelaskan oleh variabel atau faktor lainnya. Sementara variabel kualitas pelatihan, kecerdasan emosional mampu memengaruhi kinerja pegawai sebesar 45,6% sisanya sebesar 54,4% dijelaskan oleh variabel atau faktor lainnya. Kualitas pelatihan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kecerdasan emosional. Kualitas pelatihan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Kualitas pelatihan dan kecerdasan emosional secara bersama-sama atau simultan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of organizational climate and job satisfaction on turnover intention with organizational commitment as an intervening variable on employees of PT Perkebunan Sumatera Utara. The total population in this study amounted to 135 people, by using the total sampling method, the sample obtained was the total number of employees of PT. North Sumatra Plantation. The analysis technique used is path analysis. While the type of research used in this study is associative with a quantitative approach, the method used in this study is statistics with data collection techniques through questionnaires to all employees of PT. North Sumatra Plantation. The results showed that organizational climate had a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment of employees of PT Perkebunan North Sumatra. Job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment of employees of PT Perkebunan North Sumatra. Organizations climate has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention in PT Perkebunan North Sumatra employees. Job satisfaction has no significant effect on turnover intention of PT Perkebunan Sumatera employees. Organizational commitment has no significant effect on turnover intention of PT Perkebunan North Sumatra employees. Organizational commitment has no effect on mediating organizational climate on turnover intention of PT Perkebunan North Sumatra employees. Organizational commitment has no effect mediating job satisfaction on turnover intention of PT Perkebunan North Sumatra employees.

Abstract

Life in today's urban communities most of them follow trends and have proper channels in tolerating all that comes from outside. Adolescence, as the period of preparing mental self-portraits begins to occur, turns into a significant period for individual development before entering adulthood. Now, children later, this study uses a descriptive type of research with a qualitative approach. This research was conducted at 10 Coffee Shops in the city of Medan. The research was conducted in the period December 2021 – February 2022. The resource persons in this study were the owners/managers of a Coffee Shop in the city of Medan. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, literature study. The types of data sources are primary and secondary data. using the SWOT analysis technique Focus on developing a Coffee Shop business according to the visible trend is a strategy that prioritizes the wishes of consumers in the community, currently the trend is influencing consumers in choosing a food or drink they want to consume, due to lifestyle factors and references from friends. This strategy allows for more precise targeting of the entire consumer in order to create a product that can be seen and accepted by the public. Based on the results of interviews conducted by the author, the strategies adopted by 10 Coffee Shops are different, ranging from promotion on social media, building relationships with customers, improving quality and giving privileges to customers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether Turnover Intention, satisfaction and motivation have a significant effect in increasing work productivity of OS (Out Source) employees at PT. PLN (Persero) ULP South Medan. The typeof research used is associative with a quantitative approach using data analysis techniques of data quality test,classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The population in thisstudy was 95 OS employees (Out Source). The research sample used a total sampling technique, therefore theresearch sample was 95 people which included all OS employees (Out Source). The results of this study indicatethat the Turnover Intention variable partially has a positive and significant effect in increasing employee productivity, the satisfaction variable partially has a positive and significant effect in increasing employeeproductivity, and the motivation variable partially has a positive and insignificant effect in increasing employeeproductivity. and simultaneously Turnover Intention, satisfaction and motivation have a positive and significanteffect in an effort to increase work productivity of OS (Out Source) employees at PT. PLN (Persero) ULP SouthMedan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine interpersonal communication and team work on employee performance mediated by self-efficacy on PPKS Medan employees. The total population in this study amounted to 135 people, using the saturated sample technique, the total number of PPKS Medan employees was obtained. The analysis technique used is quantitative. Sources of data in this study using primary data. While the type of research used in this study is associative with a quantitative approach, the method used in this research is statistics with data collection techniques through questionnaires to all PPKS Medan employees. The results showed that interpersonal communication had a significant positive effect on employee performance (tcount 3,009 and significance 0.000 <0.05) for PPKS Medan employees. Team work has a positive and significant effect on employee performance (tcount 2.473 and significance 0.000 <0.05) PPKS Medan employees. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of tax socialization, tax knowledge, and tax sanctions on private person taxpayer compliance with taxpayer awareness as an intervening variable in KPP Pratama Medan Polonia. The sample in this study was 100 pivate person taxpayers registered at KPP Pratama Medan Polonia. The data analysis technique used was path analysis. The results showed that tax socialization and tax knowledge had a significant effect on taxpayer awareness, while tax sanctions had no significant effect on taxpayer awareness. tax sanctions and taxpayer awareness have a significant effect on taxpayer compliance, while taxation socialization and tax knowledge have no significant effect on taxpayer compliance. Tax sanctions and taxpayer awareness affect taxpayer compliance.Taxpayer awareness cannot intervene tax socialization, tax knowledge and tax sanctions on private person taxpayer compliance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the recruitment process on improving employee performance, to determine the effect of selection on improving employee performance and to determine the effect of job training on improving employee performance. The population in this study were human resources employees at PT. RTKCM (Rahmat Tunas Karya Citra Mandiri) Padangsidempuan, amounting to 115 people, and the sample used is 115 respondents using saturated sampling. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression.The results showed that the recruitment process variable had a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance at PT. RTKCM (Rahmat Tunas Karya Citra Mandiri) Padangsidempuan. The selection variable has a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance at PT. RTKCM (Rahmat Tunas Karya Citra Mandiri) Padangsidempuan. And the job training variable has a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance at PT. RTKCM (Rahmat Tunas Karya Citra Mandiri) Padangsidempuan. Ways that can be done to improve employee performance include improving the recruitment, selection and job training processes for employees of PT. RTKCM (Rahmat Tunas Karya Citra Mandiri) Padangsidempuan, which is indicated by the coefficient of determinasi (R2) of 0,498. The employees can have better performance skills and are motivated to perform well on the job and in other training programs.

Abstract

Talking about improving employee performance, basically lies in the spirit possessed by existing personnel. Performance is the result of work in quality and quantity achieved by an employee in carrying out his duties in accordance with the responsibilities assigned to him. A competent person is a person who with his skills does the job easily, quickly, intuitively and very rarely or never makes mistakes. Working conditions or work environment are all aspects of physical work, work psychology and work regulations that can affect job satisfaction and the achievement of work productivity. in the research conducted by the researcher with the title that the researchers examined totaling 113 people. Because the population was 113 people, the researchers took 100% of the population at PT. Jasa Raharja in North Sumatra. Thus the use of the entire population without having to draw a sample this study uses a saturated sample. The results of this study indicate that the value of the correlation/relationship R is 0.629 and it is explained that the percentage of the influence of the dependent variable with the coefficient of determination which is the result of the square of R. The above output results obtained a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.378, meaning the influence of the variable Competence (X1) Responsibility (X2) and Working Conditions (X3) on employee performance (Y) 37.8% while the rest is influenced by other variables

Abstract

The data of this study were taken from the Indonesia Stock Exchange with the aim of knowing the effect of capital structure and firm size on firm value with profitability as an intervening variable in property and real estate companies. This research uses causality research method with quantitative approach with secondary data documentation data collection techniques. The total population of this study were 40 companies and the number of samples was 30 companies. Determination of the sample in this study using purposive sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the capital structure variable has a significant positive effect on firm value, firm size has a significant negative effect on firm value, capital structure has a significant negative effect on profitability, firm size has a significant negative effect on profitability, profitability has a significant negative effect on firm value and profitability is not able to mediate capital structure and firm size on firm value.
