Abstract The main purpose of this research was to get information about the quality of a teacher-made test for semester final examination from Science and Social majors of eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak that focused on validity, reliability, item discrimination, item difficulty, and distractor. Case study was used in this study. The test items were teacher-made that consisted of 50 items with 321 test takers. Based on content validity analysis, all the test items matched the test blueprint therefore the test was effective and efficient to measure students’ knowledge from both majors. The result was supported by reliability analysis that showed 0.817 and it was categorized as very good for a classroom test. Item difficulty analysis also showed good results that both majors had moderate items as the highest number in the test and the means were also in normal distribution. The finding from distractor analysis was also balance that means still have good effect on the test quality. It is suggested that to discard or revise the distractors which did not function well so the test items are not too difficult or too easy, therefore the revised or new items can be used along with the items which already had good quality in terms of item difficulty, item discrimination, and distraction in the future. AbstractThis study aimed to determine the feasibility of poster media from the results of morphology, nutrient content and fruit fiber of Berante (Sumbaviopsis albicans (Blume) JJSm.), Lampahung (Baccaurea racemosa Muell. Arg) and Pansi '(Xanthophyllum flavescens Roxb.) in the Tembawang forest Bagak, Sahan Village, Bengkayang District on biodiversity material for class X high school. The research was descriptive using purposive sampling technique with two stages, namely instrument validation and media validation. The poster media was validated by five validators with 12 criteria and was calculated using the Analysis of Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Lawshe Content Validity Index (CVI). The poster media was validated by 5 validators, namely two lecturers of the Biology Education Study Program FKIP Untan and two biology teachers in class X SMA Bengkayang District and one biology teacher in class X in Pontianak. Instrument validation results showed a validation sheet was used and corrected while the results of poster media validation obtained CVR and CVI values of 0.99 which corresponded to the minimum Lawshe value for five validators, so the posters was declared valid and feasible to be used as learning media on biodiversity material in class X high school.Keywords : Posters, Biodiversity, Berante ', Lampahung, Pansi'

AbstractThis research is based on the low skills of students in reading. The low level of students 'skills in reading is caused by a lack of interest in students' learning in reading and lack of concentration in reading. This study focused on reading biographical material using the Cooperative Talking Stick model. The formulation of the problem in this study is how planning, implementation, and results of intensive reading learning using the Cooperative Talking Stick model. The purpose of this study is to describe the planning, implementation, and learning outcomes of reading biographical texts using the Cooperative Talking Stick model. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The forms of qualitative and quantitative research, and the design is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The instruments used were assignment of questions reading biographical texts, teacher assessment sheets, and observation sheets of students' attitudes and activities. Research data is processed qualitatively and quantitatively. This research was carried out 2 cycles 1 cycle 1 meeting. After getting action in the first cycle the percentage of completeness became 73.33%. An increase in cycle II was 92.59%. Thus, learning to read biographical texts using the Cooperative Talking Stick model in students of class X of Social Sciences 3 Tekarang State 1 High School has increased. Cooperative Talking Stick learning model is in accordance with the characteristics of high school students, therefore it is better to use Cooperative Talking Stick learning models for learning. AbstractThe aim of this research was to find out how the use of Make a Match Technique improved vocabulary of tenth-grade students of Islamic Boarding School of Mathla’ul Anwar Pontianak in academic year 2018/2019. This research used Classroom Action Research with two cycles. The subjects of this research were 36 students of X IPS 2. The result showed that the use of Make a Match Technique improved the students’ vocabulary. In the teaching learning process, the students were more enthusiastic and paid more attention to the learning activity. Furthermore, from the administered assessment, it showed that the students expand their vocabularies and can understand the meaning when doing written test in the class. As the result, from the students’ individual score, it improved in each cycle. Therefore, the researcher recommends teachers to use Make a Match as a vocabulary teaching technique as to help students improve their vocabulary. Keywords: Vocabulary, Make a Match Technique

AbstractThe problem in this thesis is “Whether the application of contextual teaching and learning in natural science learning can improve the process skills of fourth grade students of Bawamai Pontianak Elementary School ?â€. The purpose of general research is to describe the ability of teachers to design and implement learning science and describe the improvement of students process skills with the application of contextual teaching and learning. The subject of this research is a teachers implementing the action and Class IV B as much as 36 students The design of this study uses a class action design. Data collection tool used in this research is observation, test and documentation in the form of photo and video during the research. The results obtained are the average score of teacher's ability to plan the learning natural science is very good that is an increase from 78 to 98. The ability of teachers in implementing science lessons with a very good category that is 62 to 84. AbstractThe background of this research in which there are unique features of property form and clothing used by Balinggang Baga’ dance. Specifically, the problem of this research is how the form property and the meaning of Balinggang Baga’ property Bengkayang Regency.The method used in this research is descriptive method with a form of qualitative research. The approach used is semiotics is the science of signs. Sources of data in this study Mr Bujang, Mr. Nadu and Mrs. Niti. Mechanical testing the validity of data in the form of an extension of the observation and triangulation. Abstract In this study the authors will examine whether School Principal Supervision and Climate School organization affect the performance of teachers (PNS) in SMA Negeri in Sub-Rayon 2 Sambas District. The number of respondents from 10 SMA Negeri in Sub-Ryon 2 was 102 respondents. The research approach used quantitatively with descriptive and parametric analysis techniques. The results showed that Supervision performed by headmaster in Sub-Rayon 2 Sambas District was in good enough category with an average acquisition of 82,27. The results of the hypothesis of supervision of principal (X1) on teacher performance (Y) in obtaining the value of P value of 0.027 ˂ 0.05.It is an acceptance of Ha (alternative Hypothesis), so it is concluded that there is influence of School Supervision on teacher Performance. Ther esult of test of second hypothesis Climate of School Organization (X2) to performance (Y) obtained p value 0,007 ˂ 0,05. This shows the acceptance of Ha(Alternative Hypothesis) so it can be concluded that the Climate School organization (X2) affects the performance of teachers (Y).  Keywords: Headmaster Supervision, School Climate Organizations, Teacher Performance.

Abstract“Daodiâ€, “jiujing†and “bijing†are three modality adverbs which have relevant meaning. In some conditions, these three words are exchangeable, but in some other conditions they aren’t. And for some cases, only between two words are exchangeable, and the other one word is left unexchangeable. Because of their complicated relations, students tend to make mistakes while using these three words. To understand how well the students of Mandarin education study program at Tanjungpura University Teacher Training and Education Faculty Year 2015 master the modality adverbs “daodiâ€, “jiujing†and “bijing†and to find out the difficulties they have faced while studying these three modality adverbs, the writer has done a test towards the students by using literature study method and evaluation method. The result of the research shows that the students have been able to differentiate the meaning of these three words and have mastered their sentence structure. AbstractThe aimed of this reseach was to find out the effectiveness of Contemporary Dancing Video in teaching students writing narrative to year-10 students of MA Negeri 2 Pontianak in academic year 2017/2018. The population of this research was all year-10 students of MA Negeri 2 Pontianak in academic year 2017/2018 and the researcher took the sample by using cluster random sampling to determined the participant of the research which consisted of 39 students. From the data of the finding, itrevealed that the technique could make the students narrative writing ability increased significantly. It can be seen when the students tried to share and exchange their opinion and presented the discussion result in front of the class. The students put the core of narrative plot when presenting the story of the video.The research result showed that the technique was effective to enhance students narrative writing text due to the increasing for students’ achievements in narrative writing. It proved by the t-test calculation result which was higher than t-critical value (7.96 > 1.68). The effect size was 1.25 and categorized as high. As the conclusion, the media was able to be used in enhancing students’ ability in writing narrative text and the effect was positive. The researcher recommends this media as a variation in teaching process, especially in teaching writing narrative text.  Keywords:      Contemporary dancing video, Narrative text, teaching writing.Â
