Abstract

The Manggarai tribe who lives in the mountainous area of Ndoso Subdistrict is one of the tribes that still preserve the traditional culture to use natural resources, especially for plants as traditional medicines. Inheritance of knowledge about medicinal plants is very limited because of the media to deliver the information rely on the communication from parents to children and grandchildren to the generations in the family. Therefore, it is necessary to study about ethnobotany of medicinal plants in this community and determine the types of plants used to make traditional medicine. The methods of this research are the exploratory survey method and the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) approach. It is an assessment process that has an orientation to the involvement of the community in this research. The few steps in this study including survey, observation, interview, documentation, collection, identification and preservation by herbarium. There are 89 species of medicinal plants referring to 46 families of medicinal plants that are commonly used. The Manggarai people use wild plants found in the field, forest, and riverbank, and some are even deliberately cultivated. The method of processing medicinal plants commonly used is by boiled, chewed and patched, scraped, twisted, crushed, and without being processed.AbstrakSuku Manggarai yang bermukim pada kawasan pegunungan di Kecamatan Ndoso merupakan salah satu suku yang masih mempertahankan adat dan tradisi dalam penggunaan sumber daya alam khususnya tumbuhan sebagai obat tradisional. Pewarisan pengetahuan tentang tumbuhan obat tersebut dilakukan  terbatas penyampaian lisan dari orang tua kepada anak dan cucu secara turun temurun dalam keluarga. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang studi etnobotani tumbuhan obat oleh masyarakat Suku Manggarai yang bermukim pada kawasan pegunungan di Kecamatan Ndoso yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis tumbuhan apa saja yang digunakan, bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana cara pengolahan tumbuhan obat tradisional. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan metode survey eksploratif dan dengan pendekatan metode PRA (Participactory Rural Appraisal) yaitu proses pengkajian yang berorentasi pada keterlibatan dan peran masyarakat secara aktif dalam penelitian. Tahapan pada penelitian ini meliputi survey, observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi tumbuhan, koleksi tumbuhan, identifikasi dan pembuatan herbarium. Diperoleh sebanyak 89 spesies tumbuhan obat yang tergolong kedalam 46 famili tumbuhan obat yang biasa dimanfaatkan. Cara memperoleh tumbuhan obat yang biasa digunakan masyarakat Suku Manggarai adalah memanfaatkan tumbuhan liar yang terdapat di pekarangan rumah, hutan serta pinggir sungai bahkan ada juga yang sengaja dibudidayakan. Cara pengolahan tumbuhan obat yang biasa digunakan adalah dengan cara direbus, dikunyah lalu ditempel, diparut, diseduh, diremas, ditumbuk, dan tanpa diolah.Kata Kunci: Etnobotani, Tumbuhan Obat, Suku Manggarai

Abstract

Research about relationship of body length and ratio papilla with sex in goby fish (S. macrostetholepis Blkr.) has been done at Animal Structure and Developmental Laboratory, Biology Department, Faculty of Matematics and Natural Sciences, Andalas University, Padang, which purposed to analyse the relationship of body length and ratio papilla with sex of goby fish (S. macrostetholepis Blkr.). The samples were taken at wild stream area at Batang Kuranji river, Padang City. This reseach used descriptive method and data were analized by qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of investigation showed that in several goby fish (S. macrostetholepis Blkr.) with different sex  had the same of  body length and the same of ratio papilla. So, there was not relationship between of body length and ratio papilla with sex. Keyword: Papilla, S. macrostetholepis Blkr.

Abstract

Keikutsertaan siswa dalam penilaian sangat penting agar siswa memahami apa yang harus dilakukannya dalam belajar. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui  penggunaan teknik self dan peer assessment dalam penilaian sikap pada pembelajaran kimia adalah efektif, dan respon guru serta siswa terhadap penggunaan self assessment dan peer assessment dalam pembelajaran kimia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen dengan alat pengumpul data berupa lembar self assessment dan peer assessment dalam bentuk kuesioner, serta wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian disimpulkan bahwa teknik self dan peer assessment efektif digunakan untuk menilai sikap siswa  kelas X SMAN di Pontianak dalam mata pelajaran kimia.   Respon guru serta siswa terhadap self assessment dan peer assessment menunjukkan kriteria baik,  dengan perolehan skor rata-rata masing-masing  sebesar 82,4 dan 80,5.Kata kunci: penilaian sikap,  self assessment,  peer assessment Student participation in assessment is essential so that students could understand what to do in learning. The purpose of this research is to find out the use of self assesment and peer assessment technique in attitude assessment on chemistry learning is effective, and teachers' and students' response to self assessment and peer assessment in chemistry learning. The research method used in this research is experimental with self assessment sheet and peer assessment sheet in the form of questionnaire and interview as the tool for collecting data. The result concluded that self assessment and peer assessment technique is effective to evaluate 10th grader students' attitudes of  SMAN in Pontianak in chemistry subject. Teacher and student response to self assessment and peer assessment shows good criterion, with average score 82.4 and 80.5.Keywords: attitude assessment, self assessment, peer asessment

Abstract

The purposes of the research is to obtain effect the using of STAD cooperative learning method and T-P-S toward student achievement from scientific attitude. The research used experiment method. The result of the data analysis based on 5 % level signification were found that: 1) Fcount = 9,2289 in effect of learning method toward students achievement, Fcount = 8,7450 in effect of scientific attitude toward students achievement, Fcount = 4,5246 in interaction between method and scientific attitude for cognitive aspect data while Ftabel = 3,97, 2) Fcount = 5,4759 in effect of learning method toward students achievement, Fcount = 29,9671 in effect of scientific attitude toward students achievement, Fcount = 5,2476 in interaction between method and scientific attitude for afective aspect data while Ftabel = 3,97. The conclusion of this research are : 1) student achievement that using cooperative learning type STAD is better than T-P-S type both of cognitive and affective aspect, 2) the students who have high science attitude get student achievement better than the students who have low science attitude both of cognitive and affective aspect, 3) learning method STAD and T-P-S have different effect toward student achievement to student groups who have different science attitude.Keywords : Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD), Think Pair Share (T-P-S), Scientific attitude.

Abstract

Research on diversity and composition of fish at low tide and high tide condition in downstream Kelay River, District Berau, East Kalimantan is not yet know. The purpose of this research was to determine diversity and composition of fish that present at low tide and high tide condition in downstream Kelay River. In research using purposive sampling method and various sizes gill nets used. Results of this research shows that fish were collected at three locations sampling in downstream Kelay River consist of 14 species, 9 families, and 953 individuals. Based on the number of species, diversity Shannon-Wiener index and dominance index has stable of communities, with high value of diversity index (H'=1.975), high evenness index (E=0.749), and low value of dominance index  (D= 0.173). The number of fish species found at low tide were 11 species and at high tide were 12 species. The similarity index of fish species at low tide and high tide condition were 64.3%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the improvement of students learning output use cooperative learning teaching type think pair share (TPS). The form of research is the classroom action research consisting of two cycles with the steps of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research is students grade 8 of SMPN 1 Kalis. Quantitative data is taken from the pretest and postest, then is defined the average scores.  The result of this research shows that there is an improvement of average of learning output is 33,75 in the first cycles and then the second cycles is 41,25. The increase of completion of the learning output is the first cycles is 90,63 %, while the second is 93,75 %. The observation result of the learning prosess showed that the students learning activities improved and it affected the students learning output. The learning process use cooperative learning model with think pair share type is expected to be used by physics teachers to teach. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop: 1. elementary linear algebra teaching materials based on mathematical connection skills; 2. syllabus and lecture plan; 3. test mathematical connection skills. This type of research is a research and development approach whose research design consists of four stages, namely defining, planning, developing, and dissiminating. Data analysis techniques in this study describe narratively the steps in developing teaching materials. Based on the results of the analysis of the data obtained that: 1) the stages of developing teaching materials starting from the stages of defining, designing, until the first stage of development, namely expert validation. From this stage of development a revised elementary linear algebra teaching material has been produced based on input from three validators. Teaching materials compiled consist of four materials, namely systems of linear equations, matrices, inverses, and matrix determinants; 2) based on the opinions of three experts, elementary linear algebra teaching materials that have been compiled are classified as valid and good in terms of accuracy of contents, digestibility, use of language, so that they can be used to develop mathematical connection skills.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan: 1. bahan ajar aljabar linier dasar berdasarkan keterampilan koneksi matematika; 2. silabus dan rencana kuliah; 3. menguji keterampilan koneksi matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan yang desain penelitiannya terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu mendefinisikan, merencanakan, mengembangkan, dan menyebarluaskan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggambarkan secara naratif langkah-langkah dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh bahwa: 1) tahap pengembangan bahan ajar mulai dari tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, hingga tahap pertama pengembangan, yaitu validasi ahli. Dari tahap pengembangan ini bahan ajar aljabar linier revisi telah dihasilkan berdasarkan masukan dari tiga validator. Bahan ajar yang disusun terdiri dari empat bahan, yaitu sistem persamaan linear, matriks, invers, dan determinan matriks; 2) berdasarkan pendapat tiga ahli, bahan ajar aljabar linier dasar yang telah disusun diklasifikasikan sebagai valid dan baik dalam hal keakuratan isi, kecernaan, penggunaan bahasa, sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan koneksi matematis.Kata Kunci: bahan ajar, kemampuan koneksi matematis

Abstract

This research is motivated tendency in the field of biology shows that learning outcomes in protists material has not achieved the expected results. This is because teachers are more active than the students, so that the learning-oriented teacher (teacher-oriented) whereas passive during the learning of their students as well as the presentation of learning materials in the classroom is still conventional. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). Data taken using test instruments, observation sheet and test evaluation of learning outcomes is a means of collecting qualitative data processed. Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membuat asesmen berbasis kelas melalui model pelatihan partisipatif dan dapat meningkatkan profesionalitas guru MIPA SMP di Kota Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dengan model partisipatif. Peserta yang terlibat berjumlah 36 orang guru, yang terdiri dari: 30 orang dari SMP Negeri, 4 orang dari SMP Swasta, dan 2 orang dari MTs. Negeri. Membuat asesmen berbasis kelas sesungguhnya telah dilakukan guru-guru MIPA SMP yang ada di Kota Pontianak. namun masih belum mengungkap aspek kemampuan yang ingin diukur pada kisi-kisi yang dibuat. sehingga akan mempengaruhi rumusan indikator soal yang dirumuskan. Setelah melakukan kegiatan pelatihan dengan menggunakan model partisipatif diperoleh 80,56% dapat dikategorikan cukup baik dalam membuat asesmen berbasis kelas, sedangkan hanya 19,44% dalam kategori cukup. Dalam menerapkan model pelatihan partisipatif pada pelaksanaan kegiatan ini. pelatih menggunakan metode diskusi, tanya jawab, dan presentasi. Melalui tiga komponen pelatihan partisipatif yaitu pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengembangan dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract
