Abstract

This study is experiment research with control group pre test- post test design and aimed to examine the influence of PQ4R strategy and Refutation Text, school level, and students mathematical prior knowledge toward achievement and enhancement of students mathematical communication ability and Self Regulated Learning. Subject of study as much as 241 students of class X from three Public Senior High Schools from high, medium and low school level. Research instrument consist of one set of students mathematical communication, and one set of students Self Regulated Learning scale. Data analysis use Kosmogorov-Smirnov Test (Tes-Z), Test Leven, Test-t, ANOVA one-way and two-way, Post Hoc Test (Scheffe) and also Chi-Square Test. The study found that learning with PR4R strategy accompanied by Refutation Text Reading give consistent influence compared with conventional learning influence whether is viewed as a whole, based on school level as well as mathematical initial knowledge. In addition, the study also found: (1) there is no interaction between learning (PQ4R) accompanied by Refutation Text reading and conventional) and school level toward (a) students mathematical communication and (b) students Self Regulated Learning; (2) there is no significant interaction between learning and students mathematical prior knowledge toward (a) students mathematical communication ability and (b) students Self Regulated Learning; and (3) there is association between students mathematical communication ability and students Self Regulated Learning. Abstract

This study aimed at identifying chemical and microorganism contamination in foods of street vendors around Institut Agama Islam (IAIN) Syekh Nurjati Cirebon. The samples are meatball, cilok, grilled fish cake, nuggets, rolade, sauce, crackers, and iced water drinks. The sample tests are formalin test, borax test, Rodhamine B test, Methanyl Yellow test, and Coliform Escherichia coli MPN test. The results showed that some food samples like meatball, cilok, grilled fish cake, nuggets,and rolade were positive of formalin borax contaminated. The iced water drinks are contaminated by Coliform E. coli. The other samples like sauce and crackers  were negative of Rhodamine B Methanyl Yellow contaminated. In conclusion, according to this study, the foods of street vendors at IAIN Cirebon are not yet safe to be consumed.

Abstract

This research aim to raise conceptual and procerural knowledge students through mathematical discouse approach. This study involving the students third semester of mathematic programme in Training and Education Faculty. To achieve goal, this study was used to action research method. Instrument in  this study consist of observer worksheet and test. Result of this study show that (i) competency of conceptual knowledge was multiplying from 10,3 %  (fisrt cycle) to  75,8 % (second cycle) in good or best category; (ii) competency of procedural knowledge was multiplying from 31,1 %  (fisrt cycle)  to  93 % (second cycle) in good or best category Key word: Conceptual knowledge, procedural knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics through the Discovery Learning model. The 32 students of the fifth grade Papandayan State Elementary School became the subjects under study. The result showed that the learning implementation score in the first cycle was 72.2 and in the second cycle is 85.4. There are behavioral changes in students discipline, cooperation, confidence and enthusiasm in the first cycle with the acquisition of scores was 69.4, and in the second cycle increases to 81.13; meanwhile the average scores of students learning outcomes in the first cycle was 67.54 with the learning completion of 59.37%, and an average value in the second cycle is 80.86 with the learning completion 87.5%. The results of all aspects have increased: the implementation of learning increases to 13.2%, changes in student behavior with 11.73%, and completeness of mathematics learning outcomes increases to 28.13%. It can be concluded that the application of the Discovery Learning model improves the students students activities in each cycle.AbstrakMatematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sering dikatakan sebagai mata pelajaran yang sulit. Kenyataan ini didukung dengan rendahnya tingkat keberhasilan belajar yang didapat peserta didik. Oleh sebab itu penelitian dilakukan untuk mencari model yang tepat dalam peningkatan hasil belajar. Mengacu pada permasalahan tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika melalui model Discovery Learning. 32 siswa dari kelas lima Sekolah Dasar Negeri Papandayan menjadi mata pelajaran yang diteliti. Penelitian tindakan kelas diberikan pada kelas dengan nilai rendah. Penelitian dilakukan menerapkan model pembelajaran dengan dua siklus. Hal ini bertujuan guna mendapatkan hasil yang sesuai dengan indikator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor implementasi pembelajaran pada siklus pertama adalah 72,2 dan pada siklus kedua adalah 85,4. Ada perubahan perilaku dalam disiplin siswa, kerja sama, kepercayaan diri dan antusiasme pada siklus pertama dengan perolehan skor adalah 69,4, dan pada siklus kedua meningkat menjadi 81,13; Sementara itu skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I adalah 67,54 dengan ketuntasan belajar 59,37%, dan nilai rata-rata pada siklus II adalah 80,86 dengan ketuntasan belajar 87,5%. Hasil semua aspek telah meningkat: pelaksanaan pembelajaran meningkat menjadi 13,2%, perubahan perilaku siswa dengan 11,73%, dan kelengkapan hasil belajar matematika meningkat menjadi 28,13%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning meningkatkan aktivitas siswa siswa dalam setiap siklus.Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, Matematika, Discovery Learning

Abstract

This research aims to describe MIPA teachers’ ability to design knowledge assessment through the analysis of achievement aspects of knowledge assessment. This research used a descriptive method with SMP MIPA teachers in Pontianak City who have taught for more than 5 years and have an undergraduate degree as the population. The samples in this research, selected using a purposive sampling technique, consisted of 12 teachers who submitted MIPA test items. The research instrument used the data of the test item document designed by the teachers in the form of a multiple-choice test. The data were analyzed descriptively which included data reduction, systematic data display, and conclusion. The results showed that of the 12 test instruments made by with 380 questions in total, the teachers’ ability to design knowledge assessment (Multiple Choice Questions) obtained 17.37% of knowledge aspect, 67.90% of understanding aspect, 8.68% of implementation aspect, and 6.05% of analysis aspect. There were no questions made related to evaluation and creation aspects. Keywords: teachers ability, designing knowledge assessment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam pembiasan cahaya pada lensa terhadap hasil belajar siswa di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Ketapang. Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasy Experiment, dengan rancangan Pretest Posttest Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan teknik Purposive Sampling. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas VIII B sebagai kelas kontrol dan VIII A sebagai kelas eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah sebesar 26,75 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional yaitu 20,65. Dari uji U Mann Whitney diketahui Zhitung = -3,97 sedangkan Ztabel = -1,96, artinya terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol pada taraf 5%. Nilai Effect Size yaitu 1,40 atau tergolong tinggi dan jika dilihat dari standar kurva normal, maka pembelajaran berbasis masalah memberikan kontribusi sebesar 41,92% terhadap hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci : model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, pembiasan cahaya pada lensa, hasil belajar.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to improve students"™ learning motivation in their learning process by using biocard media on the topic of taxonomy at Junior High School 10 Pontianak. This is a   classroom action research for the seventh grade students in which 10 male students and 20 female students participated. This research was carried out in 2 cycles, the first and second cycle research instruments were questionnaires, each consisted of 20 statements. Based on the results of the first cycle research, students' learning motivation which included in the low category was 6.67%, while the high category was 73.33% and 20% was very high. In cycle 2 there is an increase in students"™ learning motivation that there are no students (0%) who are categorized as low, 10% are in the high category and 90% are categorized very high. It can be concluded that by using biocard media, it can increase students' learning motivation in the taxonomy material.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the implementation of cooperative learning through two stay two stray type toward the students achievement and behavior on biodiversity material on tenth grade students in MAN 1 Pontianak. Quasi experiment by control group pre-test post-test design was used as the form of research. The tools of data collecting were students test result in essay and questionnaires. The students average score of post-test by using two stay two stray learning method is 28,27 meanwhile the students behaviour average is 73,74 %. It showed that the implementation of two stay two stray can increase students learning achievement and behaviour.Keywords: two stay two stray, biodiversity.

Abstract

This study aims to improve science learning outcomes through the application of Talking Stick learning model. The subjects of this study are students of class VII C SMP Negeri 23 Pontianak, amounting to 30 students. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. This research includes the planning, implementation, action, observation and reflection. The instruments of data collection used are observation and test sheets (final evaluation of the cycle). Based on the research results known in cycle I obtained an average value of 78,3 and in cycle II obtained an average value of 87,8 has an increase from cycle I. Learning completeness in the first cycle of 53,33%, then on cycle II increased to 83,33%. From result of research indicate that applying of Talking Stick learning model can improve science learning result in class VII C SMP Negeri 23 Pontianak.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar sains melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Talking Stick. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui pada siklus I diperoleh nilai rata-rata 78,3 dan pada siklus II diperoleh nilai rata-rata 87,8 mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I. Ketuntasan belajar pada siklus I sebesar 53,33%, kemudian pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 83,33%. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Talking Stick dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA di kelas VII C SMP Negeri 23 Pontianak.Kata Kunci: hasil belajar siswa,Talking Stick

Abstract

ABSTRAKKondisi ekologis saluran pencernaan  kondusif berpengaruh terhadap kelancaran metabolisme tubuh.  Keseimbangan mikroflora hidup pada saluran pencernaan itik sangat membantu kelancaran pencernaan nutrien ransum menjadi zat yang lebih sederhana.  Kitosan merupakan jenis serat hewan yang sangat cocok untuk menunjang kehidupan bakteri jenis menguntungkan dalam saluran cerna.  Tujuan penelitian adalah melihat perkembangan mikroflora saluran pencernaan dengan pemberian kitosan.  Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan  4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan.  Masing-masing ulangan terdiri dari 2 ekor itik sebagai satuan percobaan.  Perlakuan adalah R0 = 0% kitosan, R1 = 0,5% kitosan, R2 = 2% kitosan dan R3 = 2,5% kitosan. Peubah yang diukur adalah jumlah total populasi mikroba, jumlah Salmonela dan jumlah E coli saluran pencernaan itik.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kitosan 0,5% dan 2% memberikan peningkatan  rataan jumlah total mikroba (TPC) pada saluran cerna.  Kitosan juga  menurunkan jumlah E coli saluran cerna serta kandugan Salmonella sp negative(<10 2  ) Kata kunci: Kitosan, mikroflora, saluran cerna, itik Tegal  ABSTRACT Conducive ecological conditions of the digestive tract affect the smooth metabolism of the body. The balance of living microflora in the digestive tract of ducks greatly helps the smooth digestion of nutrients into simpler substances. Chitosan is a type of animal fiber that is potential to support the life of beneficial type bacteria in the gastrointestinal tract. The aim of this research is to see the development of microflora of gastrointestinal tract by giving chitosan. The study used Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. Each replication consists of 2 ducks as experimental units. The treatment was R0 = 0% chitosan, R1 = 0,5% chitosan, R2 = 2% chitosan and R3 = 2.5% chitosan. The measured variables were total microbial population, number of Salmonella and amount of E coli of duck digestive tract. The results showed that giving of chitosan 0,5% and 2% give increase of total amount of microbe (TPC) in gastrointestinal tract.
