Abstract

The low level of interest among educated youth in applying for positions at Village-Owned Enterprises (Badan Usaha Milik Desa/BUMDes) has become a challenge in strengthening human resources and ensuring the sustainability of rural economic development. This study aims to analyze the influence of employer branding and career development opportunities on the intention to apply among educated youth at BUMDes Dalung. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The sample consisted of 150 respondents selected using a purposive sampling technique, comprising individuals aged 18–30 years with a minimum educational attainment of senior high school or its equivalent who were familiar with BUMDes Dalung. Data were collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS. The results indicate that employer branding has a positive and significant effect on intention to apply (t = 5.138; p < 0.001). Similarly, career development opportunities also have a positive and significant effect on intention to apply (t = 2.795; p = 0.006). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influence intention to apply (F = 13.379; p < 0.001), with an Adjusted R Square value of 0.567, indicating that 56.7% of the variation in intention to apply can be explained by the research model. These findings underscore that strengthening the organization's image as a professional workplace, accompanied by the provision of clear and sustainable career development opportunities, constitutes an important strategy for BUMDes to enhance organizational attractiveness and attract high-quality young talent Keywords: Employer Branding; Career Development Opportunities; Intention to Apply

Abstract

This study was conducted to examine structured and sustainable mentorship models in enhancing participant performance within competitive environments. Competitive environments are no longer merely understood as arenas to achieve victory, but also as learning platforms that demand participants possess critical thinking skills, strategy, teamwork, communication, adaptability, and mental readiness. This research employs a systematic literature review method on 10 peer-reviewed journal articles published during the 2016–2026 period. The analysed literature focuses on mentorship, structured mentorship, sustainable mentorship, participant performance, and competitive environments. The findings indicate that relevant mentorship models in competitive environments include technology-enabled mentorship, case competition mentorship, near-peer mentorship, student-led mentorship, structuredcompetence-based mentorship, business plan competition mentorship, as well as project- and team-based mentoring. The findings also reveal that mentorship implementation still faces challenges such as time constraints, mentor-mentee mismatch, weak program structures, digital communication barriers, and suboptimal monitoring and evaluation. This study concludes that sustainable mentorship needs to be designed through clear objectives, precise mentor-mentee matching, structured mentoring agendas, technology utilization, performance evaluation, and post-competition reflection. Thus, mentorship not only supports the achievement of competitive outcomes but also strengthens participants' capacity, autonomy, and long-term learning

Abstract

This study analyzes the effects of product quality, price, and store atmosphere on brand image and the subsequent effect of brand image on the purchase decisions of Gelato X consumers. The research was conducted at a gelato outlet in the Blok M area from August to December 2025. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to consumers who had purchased Gelato X products, while secondary data were obtained from relevant articles and scientific journals. Purposive sampling produced 112 valid respondents. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. Product quality had a positive and significant effect on brand image (coefficient 0.314; p = 0.005). Price also had a positive and significant effect on brand image (coefficient 0.327; p = 0.001), as did store atmosphere (coefficient 0.303; p = 0.021). Brand image had the strongest positive effect on purchase decisions (coefficient 0.791; p < 0.001). Product quality, price, and atmosphere explained 75.1% of the variance in brand image, while brand image explained 62.6% of purchase decisions. The findings emphasize consistent product quality, value-based pricing and promotions, and a comfortable store environment as the basis for strengthening the brand and increasing purchases.

Abstract

Accountability in religious organisations is commonly interpreted through financial reporting and governance mechanisms, overlooking the influence of indigenous cultural and spiritual values. This study explores how accountability is socially constructed from the perspective of worshippers (pemedek) at Pura Agung Besakih, Bali. Employing a qualitative ethnographic approach and Bourdieu's Theory of Practice, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that accountability extends beyond administrative transparency and is rooted in the religious values of dharma, bhakti, and yadnya, which cultivate religious habitus and spiritual trust. These values are institutionalised through Purana and awig-awig, generating symbolic capital that legitimises temple governance. Accountability is further reinforced by the principles of karmaphala and the relationship between sekala and niskala, functioning as internal spiritual control mechanisms that encourage ethical behaviour. Administrative accountability complements, rather than replaces, this moral foundation by strengthening public trust through transparent financial management. Based on these findings, this study proposes an Inculturated Accountability Model, demonstrating that accountability in religious organisations is a culturally embedded process integrating religious values, customary institutions, symbolic legitimacy, spiritual control, and administrative transparency to support sustainable temple governance.

Abstract

Liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) derived from mixed organic residues may promote nutrient circularity; however, its chemical quality and microbial viability depend on formulation and fermentation conditions. This study assessed the effects of rice-husk biochar and Trichoderma spp. fortification on LOF produced from banana peel, pineapple peel, rabbit urine, and molasses in a passively aerated stacked-bucket system. A randomized complete block design included four treatments with four replicates: unfortified LOF (P1), Trichoderma alone (P2), 1% w/v biochar (P3), and biochar plus Trichoderma (P4). Chemical variables were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Tukey's HSD test at 5%, whereas microbial and metal data were interpreted descriptively. Fortification did not affect pH (7.20–7.22). P3 had the highest organic C (0.58%) and C/N ratio (5.92), whereas P4 had the highest total N (0.12%), P (0.22%), and K (0.62%). P2 had the highest total fungal count (7.2 × 10⁵ CFU mL⁻¹) and recoverable Trichoderma population (6.5 × 10⁵ CFU mL⁻¹); corresponding values in P4 were 3.8 × 10⁵ and 3.5 × 10⁵ CFU mL⁻¹. Co-fortification improved macronutrient profiles but did not maximize Trichoderma recovery from the liquid fraction. Further optimization and plant-based efficacy testing are required.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and system quality on the effectiveness of e-learning use in students. faculty of Economics and Business of Tadulako University. The study used an associative quantitative approach with a stratified random sampling technique on 230 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS version 30. The results showed that self-efficacy and system quality simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on effectiveness use e-learning (F = 252,963; Sig. = 0,000), with contribution of 69.0% (R Square = 0.690). Partially, self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on the effectiveness of e-learning use (t = 14.471; Sig. = 0.000), as does system quality (t = 12.882; Sig. = 0.000), with self-efficacy as a relatively more dominant variable. The results of this study are expected to provide academic contributions in the development of educational management science and information systems, particularly regarding the use of e-learning in the learning process. In addition, this study is also expected to be a consideration for Tadulako University, especially the Faculty of Economics and Business, in improving quality e-learning system and strengthen student self-efficacy, so that the effectiveness of e-learning use can increase and support the improvement of the quality of learning and student learning outcomes.
