Abstract

This study formulates strategies to reduce revenue fluctuation at Bungkust, a business-to-business custom paper packaging company navigating the Death Valley phase. A single-case study combined semi-structured interviews with employees, customers, and a vendor with internal revenue and marketing-funnel records from January 2025 to May 2026. Interview data were examined through thematic analysis, revenue through descriptive time-series analysis, and funnel records through descriptive statistics. Monthly revenue ranged from IDR 50.14 million to IDR 715.30 million, with major increases repeatedly followed by sharp declines. High traffic did not consistently produce qualified prospects, while only 6-19% of released quotations became orders. The company shows strong growth ambition but lacks a sufficiently standardized and scalable business model, placing it in the Start-up phase of the Death Valley framework. Market, external, and internal analyses generated 23 TOWS alternatives, consolidated into nine strategies. Integrated Cost Leadership/Differentiation was selected to combine cost efficiency with customization, quality, responsiveness, and fulfilment reliability. A preparation phase from Q3 2026 to Q2 2027 and an execution phase from Q3 2027 provide a structured route toward more stable and scalable growth.

Abstract

Mountain hiking combines psychological challenges, perceived hazards, and environmental responsibilities that may influence hikers’ sustainability awareness. This study examined the effects of hikers’ anxiety and risk perception on sustainability awareness in mountain tourism areas of West Java, Indonesia. A quantitative explanatory design with a cross-sectional survey was employed. Data were collected from 250 hikers selected through purposive sampling at Mount Gede Pangrango, Mount Papandayan, Mount Ciremai, Mount Puntang, and Mount Burangrang. The research instrument consisted of 21 items measured using a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. The results showed that hikers’ anxiety had a positive and significant effect on sustainability awareness (β = 0.204, t = 3.231, p = 0.001). Risk perception also had a positive and stronger significant effect on sustainability awareness (β = 0.631, t = 9.983, p < 0.001). Simultaneously, both variables significantly influenced sustainability awareness (F = 78.436, p < 0.001) and explained 38.8% of its variance. These findings demonstrate that emotional vigilance and cognitive risk assessment contribute to environmentally responsible awareness. Mountain destination managers should integrate safety communication,
THE EFFECT OF FLEXIBLE WORK ARRANGEMENTS AND WORK-LIFE BALANCE ON INTENTION TO STAY: THE MEDIATING ROLE OF JOB SATISFACTION AND THE MODERATING ROLE OF PERCEIVED SUPERVISOR SUPPORT AMONG SALES EMPLOYEES OF AUTHORIZED CAR DEALERS IN MALANG CITY Dewi Ayu Dyah Ningrum; Budi Eko Soetjipto; Wening Patmi Rahayu

Abstract

Sales employee retention constitutes a strategic concern in the automotive industry because sales work is characterized by demanding targets, commission-based earnings, intensive mobility, and relatively unpredictable working hours. This study examines the effects of flexible work arrangements and work-life balance on employees’ intention to stay, investigates the mediating role of job satisfaction, and assesses the moderating effect of perceived supervisor support. An explanatory quantitative approach with a survey design was employed. The population comprised 336 sales employees working for authorized car dealerships in Malang City. Using non-probability purposive sampling, 179 valid responses were obtained. Data were collected through a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS 4.0. The results indicate that flexible work arrangements do not significantly affect job satisfaction, although they exert a positive effect on intention to stay. Work-life balance positively influences both job satisfaction and intention to stay, while job satisfaction significantly strengthens employees’ willingness to remain with their current organizations. The indirect-effect analysis reveals that job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between flexible work arrangements and intention to stay. In contrast, it partially mediates the effect of work-life balance on intention to stay. The interaction tests further demonstrate that perceived supervisor support does not moderate the effects of flexible work arrangements, work-life balance, or job satisfaction on intention to stay. These findings suggest that work–life balance and job satisfaction constitute more substantial retention mechanisms, whereas flexible work arrangements primarily operate as instrumental job resources that facilitate the execution of sales responsibilities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the fairness of land acquisition compensation for communities affected by infrastructure development in Indonesia. The main focus of the study is to examine the gap between normative provisions mandating "fair and just" compensation and the reality of implementation on the ground, as well as to identify factors that often cause communities to feel disadvantaged in the land acquisition process. This study uses a juridical-normative method strengthened by an empirical approach. Data were collected through a literature review of laws and regulations, court decisions, and related policy documents, as well as in-depth interviews with affected communities, government officials, and land appraisers at several national strategic project locations. The results show that although the legal framework has regulated the principle of fairness, its implementation still faces various obstacles, including unclear assessment standards, weak transparency and community participation, limited appraisal resources, and minimal assistance for vulnerable groups. Fairness in compensation is not simply measured by nominal values; it must include procedural, distributive, and restorative justice. This study recommends the need for more measured regulatory reformulation, strengthening institutional capacity, and a transformative approach that prioritizes the recovery of the socio-economic conditions of affected communities, so that infrastructure development truly brings prosperity without leaving anyone behind.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the state's responsibility towards victims of land mafia from the perspective of legal certainty and justice. Land mafia causes serious harm by seizing land rights, weakening legal protection, and reducing public trust in the state. This study uses a normative juridical method with a statutory and conceptual approach. Data were obtained through a literature review of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, then analyzed qualitatively. The results show that the state has a responsibility to prevent, prosecute, and restore the rights of land mafia victims through a transparent land administration system, firm law enforcement, and a fair redress mechanism. Legal certainty has not been fully achieved due to weaknesses in land data validation, official oversight, and slow dispute resolution. From a justice perspective, victims must not only obtain legal recognition but also receive rights restoration, protection from criminalization, and adequate compensation if the state is proven negligent. Therefore, the state's responsibility must be actively realized through improving land governance, strengthening inter-institutional coordination, and providing easy access to justice for victims. This research confirms that protecting land mafia victims is an important part of a state based on law that guarantees legal certainty and justice.
