Focus and Scope Jurnal Riset Manajemen dan Bisnis (p-ISSN: 1907-7343; e-ISSN: 2714-7312) adalah jurnal yang dipublikasikan oleh Fakultas Bisnis Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana yang terbit dua kali setahun (Juli dan Desember). Abstract

The obiective of this research is to examine the interdependent relationship between agency cost and board characteristics.. ising two ways i measurement, namely, ratios of OPEX and ATO, agency cost is hypothesized to have a simultaneous relationship with board characteristics miasured by board size and the proportion of outside directors. Farthermore, the variabieof corporate ownership measured by managerial ownership and blockholder ownership is used to examine its ffict on both agency cost and board characteristics. (Ising manufacturing industry listed at Jakarta Stock Exchange as the sample, the result shows the interdependent relationship issupported as well as the effect of corporate ownership on agency cost and board characteristics. Moreover the result also shows that agency cost measured by OPEX, robustly explain the interdependent relationship compare to ATO.Keywords: Corporate ownership, agency cost, board characteristics

Abstract

This research is to see the influence of managerial, institutional, and public ownership and the size of top milMgernent on the value of companies with the return on assets as the controlling variable. This study nkes the benefi* of 67 samples of companies during the period of 2005-2007, which are listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchmrge (BED.By using double regression, it indicates that the managerial ownership and the size of top management have a positive inJluence on the value of the companies. The institutional ownership and the public ownership do not have any influences on thevalue of the companies.Keywords: tnanogerial, institutional, public, the size of top mantagernent, return on assets (ROA), thevalue of company.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand preference and self image congruen-cy on customers satisfaction using seluler's telephonic product. This study uses survey methods.  Survey’s region is at Yogyakarta city. The samples used in this study are 100 respondents.  This research uses multiple regression as its data analyses. The results show that self-imagecongruency and brand preference influence on customers satisfaction using seluler's telephonical product. Also, this study indicates that self-image congruency’s role is more dominanton customer satisfaction.Keywords: Self Image Congruency, Brand Preference, Consumer Satisfaction

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meneliti pengaruh variabel kepemimpinan, disiplin kerja, dan komunikasi pada kinerja karyawan di CV. Anugrah Garmindo. Sebuah model pengembangan manajemen menguji pengaruh antara variabel konstruk. Model ini menguji pengaruh antara variabel kepemimpinan, disiplin kerja, dan komunikasi pada kinerja karyawan di CV. Anugrah Garmindo. Hasilnya menunjukkan ada hasil yang cukup signifikan pada model penelitian ini. Koefisiennya menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan, disiplin kerja, dan komunikasi berpengaruh signifikan positif pada kinerja karyawan. Keterbatasan penelitian ini meliputi metodologi laporan ini sendiri yang mengukur data persepsi dengan serangkaian kuesioner. Terdapat aplikasi praktis bagi para pimpinan di lingkungan CV. Anugrah Garmindo untuk meningkatkan perhatian pada disiplin kerja karyawan secara periodik dan mempertahankan komunikasi yang sudah baik dengan mengadakan evaluasi secara berkala untuk menilai sikap dalam bekerja sehingga kinerja karyawan meningkat. Kata kunci: kepemimpinan, disiplin kerja, komunikasi, kinerja ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to investigate leadership, work discipline, and communication and their impact on the employee’s performance. A management development model examines the impact among the measurable constructs. The model explores the impact among leadership, work discipline, and communication on employee’s performance in CV. Anugrah Garmindo. The results indicate there is a goodness of fit for research model. The coefficient explained that the leadership, work discipline, and communication have positive and significant impact to employee’s performance in the management model. The limitations include the self-report methodology that measures perceptual data with a series of questionairre items. There are practical applications for management development specialists and the model supports an environment in which leaders are encouraged to increase their ability to give more attention to their employee’s work discipline and it will increase the employee’s performance. Keywords: leadership, work discipline, communication, performance

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of social media as a means of electronic word of mouth. The variables studied in this study are customer satisfaction and customer involvement as antecedents and repurchase intentions as a consequence variable (Consequences). The sample in this study amounted to 206 respondents spread in Yogyakarta, Central Java, West Java, East Java, Bali, and Ambon with surveys conducted in a connected and unrelated. Hypothesis testing is done by multiple regression analysis and simple regression analysis. The results of this study suggest that in the Indonesian context, customer satisfaction does not affect the act of social media and customer involvement have a positive and significant effect on electronic act of speech through social media. Electronic speech act through social media has a positive effect on repurchase intentions.Keywords: social media, electronic word of mounth, repeat purchase, regression  ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran media sosial sebagai sarana getok tular elektronik. Variabel yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah kepuasan pelanggan dan keterlibatan pelanggan sebagai anteseden dan niat membeli kembali sebagai variabel konsekuensi (Konsekuensi). Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 206 responden yang tersebar di Yogyakarta, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Barat, Jawa Timur, Bali, dan Ambon dengan survei yang dilakukan secara terhubung dan tidak terkait. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan analisis regresi berganda dan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam konteks Indonesia, kepuasan pelanggan tidak mempengaruhi tindakan media sosial dan keterlibatan pelanggan memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap tindak tutur elektronik melalui media sosial.Kata Kunci: media sosial, getok tular elektronik, pembelian ulang, regresi

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze the effect of rotation of employees fairness aspecton satisfaction and employees performance in one of the private companies in Yogyakarta.Specifically, this research examines and analyzes the influence of distributive fairness and proceduralfairness employees rotation on employees job satisfaction and employees performance . This studyused survey method by using a census of all employees 90 people . Data analysis using SEM withAMOS program. The results show that the distributive justice rotation has positive effect on employeesatisfaction and employee performance . Procedural fairness rotation positive effect on employees jobsatisfaction, but has no direct effect on performance. Job satisfaction in this study mediate the effectof procedural fairness rotation of employees on employees performance.Keywords: Job rotation, distributive fairness, procedural fairness, employees satisfaction andperformance.

Abstract

This research was intended to examine the structural stability of the fficts of growth potential, earnings variability, tax shields, firm size and profitability on leverage ratio in textile and garment companies at Jakarta Stock Exchange before and during the monetary crisis. Sixteen textile and garment companies were analyze using the Chow Test. The results show that there is a dffirence between the fficts of growth potential, earnings variability, tax shields, fir* size and profitability on leverage ratio before the monetary crisis and during the monetary crisis.Keywords: capital structure, growth potential, earnings variability, tm shields, -fir* size, profitability, leverage ratio, monetary crisis

Abstract

This study showed that retaliation behavior is an important concept in organizational behavior domain. However organizational justice perception and affective commitment are important antecedences to explain retaliation phenomena at workplace. Based on social exhange theory, financial compensation and rotation policy are important purposes of most employees related to their reason to affiliate with an organization. This research has done in an Indonesian’s Government institution where the researcher gathered 77 subjects of fulltime employees. Add up the results supported hypothesis partially. In general, the conclusion of this study explained that the distributive justice of rotation policy and affective commitment have strong prediction to employee’s retaliation in workplace. But distributive justice of financial compensation didn’t support hypotheses. The context had explained possibility why the distributive justice of financial compensation didn’t support hypotheses. Abstract

Environmental dynamics shown by the uncertain situation faced by the company. Uncertain situationdue to a catastrophic event is one of the factors that need to be anticipated by the company. This studyaimed to analyze the effect of dynamic marketing capabilities to the performance of the creativeindustries and the dynamic moderating influence of the environment on their relationship in situationsof disaster that struck the Yogyakarta area.This study was conducted with 103 respondents.Respondents include business entrepreneurs of creative industries in Yogyakarta, especially in smalland medium business group. Hypothesis testing is done by regression analysis and regressionanalysis moderation. The results showed only two of the four hypotheses were supported, wherestrategic flexibility significantly affect firm performance, while dynamic environment do not moderatethe relationship between the two.Keywords: Dynamic Marketing Capability, Market Orientation, Strategic Flexibility,Environmental Dynamism, and Firm Performance

Abstract

Abstract This present study aims to analyze the effect of abusive supervision variables on deviance behavior through job frustration and its direct effect on the deviance behavior of company employees. The population in this study are those who work as supervisors and have direct subordinates or employees. The research sample was taken as many as 31 respondents with a nonprobability sampling technique, namely incidental sampling. Hypothesis testing uses path analysis to test the effect of each variable. The results of this study suggest that: (i) abusive supervision has a significant positive direct effect on job frustration of company employees. (ii) job frustration mediates positively and significantly influences the abusive supervision on the deviance behavior of company employees. (iii) abusive supervision does not directly influence the deviance behavior of the company's employees. Keywords: Abusive Supervision, Job Frustration, Deviance Behavior ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh variabel supervisi penyalahgunaan terhadap perilaku penyimpangan melalui frustrasi kerja dan pengaruh langsungnya terhadap perilaku menyimpang karyawan perusahaan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mereka yang berprofesi sebagai supervisor dan memiliki bawahan atau karyawan langsung. Sampel penelitian diambil sebanyak 31 responden dengan teknik nonprobability sampling yaitu sampling insidental. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan analisis jalur untuk menguji pengaruh masing-masing variabel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (i) supervisor kasar berpengaruh langsung positif dan signifikan terhadap job frustration (jf) karyawan perusahaan. (ii) frustasi kerja memediasi secara positif dan signifikan mempengaruhi supervisi kekerasan terhadap penyimpangan perilaku) karyawan perusahaan. (iii) supervisi kekerasan tidak secara langsung mempengaruhi perilaku menyimpang karyawan perusahaan. Kata kunci: supervisi kasar, frustrasi kerja, perilaku penyimpangan
