Abstract

Learning anxiety is an excessive feeling of being afraid of threats or felt during distance learning. In overcoming children's anxiety, one of the assistance efforts made is family support. Family support is an act of assisting to meet the needs and problem solving of children in order to support the optimization of children's development. In this study, researchers used quantitative descriptive as an approach. The research method used is an analytic survey while the type of research is cross sectional. In analyzing the data, researchers used univariate as a measuring tool and the Chi-Square test as bivariate. The population of elementary school children in grades 4-6 is 60 respondents and the sample is 60 respondents. The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a significant relationship between the independent variables, that the p value was 0.044 (p < 0.05), which means that there is an influence between family support and children's learning anxiety. In this study, the study analyzed that the Chi-Square test had 2 (two) most influential variables, namely family support and children's learning anxiety. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between family support and children's learning anxiety. From this research, it is expected that children will learn with others so that children do not experience anxiety.

Abstract

This research uses the innovative Oliver Twist novel. The purpose of this study is to describe the sadness that can be taken as a lesson from the main character in the Oliver Twist novel, and to show how the sadness is presented by the main character. This research deals with how sadness affects learning and can be found in a novel by Charles Dickens. In this scientific study and research, the writer uses descriptive qualitative to describe, analyze, and discuss research problems. Other information relevant to the investigation is also being sought by the researchers. The author conducted a research question to find how sadness can be reduced by studying "Oliver Twist" in a story from a functionalist perspective, symbol perspective, conflict, and perspective. After analyzing Oliver Twist novel the author found some sadness that can make life lessons in the main character, such as fortitude, sympathy, courage, honesty, cooperation, gratitude, not giving up easily, humility, and kindness.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relevance and effectiveness of implementing the recitation method in improving student achievement. This research is directed to answer two problems: the relevance and effectiveness of the recitation method in learning Akidah Akhlaq subjects. Classroom Action Research with a quantitative research approach is used in the research method where data collection uses research measuring instruments (instruments). Data analysis is quantitative/statistical, aiming to test and prove the hypotheses that have been made/set. The data analysis technique used in this study was carried out in several stages, namely: a) data reduction, b) data presentation and c) conclusion drawing, data analysis in research using SPSS (Product Moment). The recitation method was applied to the subjects of Aqidah Akhlak grade 5. The conclusions followed the study results with the acquisition of scores and percentages: Cognitive score acquisition in cycle-1: 85.88 in cycle-2: 87.06, which means up: 1.18. the acquisition of affective values ​​in cycle-1: 89.41 in cycle-2:89,26. It means down: 0.15. The group score in the first cycle: 86.47 in the second cycle 89.41. It means up: 0.99. The acquisition of psychomotor scores in cycle-1: 90.69 in cycle-2 90.69. It means fixed. The average score (average) in cycle-1: 88.11 in cycle-2: 89.11 means that the value increases by: 0.99. The research analysis results can be concluded that the recitation method in Akidah Akhlaq subjects is relevant and effective in improving student achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to explore students' writing at the English Language Education Study Program of Khairun University. This research aims to analyze students' genre of writing and to know the results of students writing performances in terms of content, organization, vocabulary, language use, and mechanics. The research applied a qualitative method with a written test instrument. The researcher selected 42 students to participate in this research, chosen from Class A and B of the fourth semester at the English Language Education Study Program. The result shows that students' writing genre varies from procedure text, descriptive, discussion, report, recount, spoof, narrative, explanation, and analytical exposition text. From the students' writing performance results, four respondents obtained excellent category with 9.52%, 19 respondents obtained good variety with 45.23%, nine respondents obtained good category with 19.04%, ten respondents obtained poor class with 23.80%, and one respondent obtained inferior type with 2.38%. The average scores of writings were 78.64 and categorized as Sufficient. It indicates that the students still faced difficulty in producing a good essay. This research found that from five aspects, language use was the aspect that easy for the students because the students obtained good criteria, but in content, organization, vocabulary, and mechanic elements, their standards were average.

Abstract

High school (SMA), as the most crucial education in shaping the character of its students, has doubted its effectiveness. Discriminatory cases that occur are one of the roots. Several studies suggest the necessity of inculcating Islamic educational values ​​through Islamic religious education subjects. As a result, assessment management and learning implementation are essential. This research explores more deeply to strengthen the concept, implementation, and actualization of karimah moral values in high school. The research was conducted at SMAN 6 South Tangerang using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data in this research are the results of interviews with stakeholders of SMAN 6 South Tangerang, documentation, and questionnaires to students. The results showed that the concept, implementation, and actualization of the moral values ​​of karimah at SMAN 6 South Tangerang were embodied in school programs and manifested in exemplary attitudes by Islamic Religious Education teachers. In addition, students' perceptions of Islamic Religious Education subjects align with the values ​​of Akhlak Karimah that they do. In conclusion, the program for implementing karimah and religious moral values ​​at SMAN 6 South Tangerang can be used as a model to strengthen the concept, implementation, and actualization of karimah moral values ​​in senior high schools in Indonesia.

Abstract

To be effective in teaching vocabulary, teachers must identify, use, and be creative in their methods. The English teacher should employ the proper teaching technique to tackle the problem of mastering vocabulary using the Show and the Tell method. This study was purposefully intended to look into the following topics: 1) the students’ vocabulary mastery before they were taught by using Show and Tell Method 2) the students’ vocabulary mastery after they were taughtwhatwiut using Show and Tell Method 3) the significant improvement of the students’ vocabulary mastery after using Show and Tell Method. It was a quasi-experimental study that used a pretest-posttest control group research design. The sample of the research is two claClassessess research, the researchers choose tclassesass consists list VII A 27 st,udstudentsnd VII B 26 students. The test was employed as a datgatheringng instrument, and it was in the form of a test that included a pre-test and a post-test. Both the experimental and control groups were given the test. Based on the findings of data analysis using the normality, homogeneity tests, anthatteststst. It can be concluded the alternative hypothesis was accepted while the null hypothesis was rejected. It means there were significant differences in vocabulary before and afteusinged the show and tells method for the first grade Junior High School (SMP) Negeri 4 Juwana. Furthermore, tusesed of the Show and Tell Method was important teaching vocabulary mastery because could help motivate vocabularies show and tell method; vocabulary mastery; in students of junior high school.

Abstract

One of the factors for the lack of entrepreneurs is poor entrepreneurship skills. Most only learn marketing by self-taught, so many novice entrepreneurs fail and stop in the middle of the road. Based on initial observations of common phenomena in society, there are obstacles faced, including the inability to make product packaging that can increase the attractiveness of potential consumers. On the other hand, they also do not know how to develop a business to obtain a business license from the relevant agency. This service aims to develop innovative product design capabilities that are effective for businesses run by young entrepreneurs around IAIN Ponorogo and to train skills in business licensing for young entrepreneurs around IAIN Ponorogo. The method in this service uses the ABCD method, using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. This service found that the community was helped by implementing product design training and assistance for PIRT permits.

Abstract

This research is pre-experimental research that aims to determine the extent of students' reading comprehension skills before and after being taught using showdown strategy games. The research methodology is a quantitative method approach. The sample of this study was 34 students of class VIII A SMP N 1 Banjarharjo. The research instrument was in the form of tests, namely pre-test and post-test. In this study, the researcher used in Indonesian KKM (kriteria ketuntasan minimal) at SMPN 1 Banjarharjo with the criteria for the KKM score of 75. Based on the pre-test reading comprehension of students before being taught using the Showdown strategy, 8.82% met the KKM criteria, and the results of the pre-test reading comprehension of students after being taught using the Showdown strategy were 76,47% fulfilling the KKM criteria. Furthermore, the researchers also used the N-Gain formula to determine the effectiveness of the showdown strategy implementation. The results of the N-Gain calculation obtained a mean value of 68.3333. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between students' reading abilities before and after being taught using showdown strategy games.

Abstract

The problem in this study is how the humanistic psychology consisting of five aspects of multilevel needs in the main character of the novel Maysuri by Nadjib Kartapati Z. The purpose of this study is to explain the needs of the main character in the novel Maysuri by Nadjib Kartapati Z using Abraham Maslow's theory of humanistic psychology. The method used is descriptive qualitative research method that describes data in the form of observations on the multi-level needs of Maysuri's character. The data collection technique used is reading and note taking. The data analysis technique used is grouping the data, interpreting the data, presenting the analysis description, and concluding the research results. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the humanistic psychological needs of the main character, Maysuri, have been well met, which are as follows 1) Physiological needs, consisting of satisfying the needs for food and water, air, clothing, rest and shelter. 2) Safety needs, consisting of physical safety and psychological safety. 3) Love and affiliation needs, which consist of family affection, partner affection, and community acceptance. 4) Self-esteem needs consist of self-esteem and esteem from others. 5) Self-actualization needs in the form of realizing one's potential as a teacher and family helper.

Abstract

This study aims to improve IPAS learning outcomes using Smart Monopoly media in class IV students at SDN Ngariboyo 4, Ngariboyo District, Magetan Regency. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The instruments used were observation sheets and evaluation questions. The data analysis technique is quantitative. The media used is Smart Monopoly. The results showed that students' science learning outcomes had increased. In the pre-cycle, the average student learning outcome is 70, including the moderate category, and the proportion of student learning completeness is 30.76%. In cycle I, the average student learning outcomes and the proportion of student mastery increased to 74.23 and 38.46%. Cycle I did not meet the requirements of the experiment, and improvements were made. In cycle II, the average student learning outcomes were 90.76, included in the very good category, and the proportion of student learning completeness was 92.30% and met the research success criteria.
