<![CDATA[This research purpose are to the analyse how the impact of the number of accommodation business, number of visitors to accommodation, output of the hotel sector and the wage on the employment opportunities of the hotel sector in the Indonesian Provinces using the panel regression method based on the fixed effect model (FEM) approach. This type of research is descriptive and associative research, where the data used are secondary data in the form of panel data (pool time series) from 33 provinces in Indonesia during the period 2012-2016. The results of this study indicate that the variable number of business accommodations, the number of visitors to accommodation has a positive and significant effect on the employment opportunities in the hotel sector in the Indonesian Provinces, the hotel sector's output variables have a positive but insignificant effect on the hospitality sector employment opportunities in the Indonesian Provinces and wages have a non-significant negative influence on the employment opportunities in the hotel sector in the Indonesian Provinces.Keywords: Hospitality Sector Job Opportunities, Accommodation Business, visitors to accommodation, Hospitality Sector Output, Wage]]>

<![CDATA[The aims of this study were to find out the effectiveness of Content-Based Instruction method in teaching reading for second grade of SMAN 1 Donorojo Jepara and to find out the reading comprehension ability of the second grade of SMAN 1 Donorojo Jepara. The population of this study was from the second grade MIPA which consists of 143 students from 4 classes. The samples of this study were class XI MIPA 2 as control group and class XI MIPA 4 as experimental group. The samples were selected by random sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were reading pre-test and post-test. The data were collected from observation and reading comprehension tests. The data were analyzed statistically in the form of t-test. To find out the significant improvement, the researchers conducted t-test using Paired Sample t-test, it showed that the sig. (2-tailed) of experiment is 0.00 and control group is 0.02. 0.000 < 0.05 and 0.02 < 0.05. There is a significance difference in the result of students' learning scores between the experiment and control group. The students' ability in reading comprehension in second grade of senior high school in SMA Negeri 1 Donorojo Jepara in comprehending English text is poor, after taught using CBI method, the frequency of post-test increased from poor to very good.Teachers may use the CBI method as an effective and innovative teaching method to improve students' reading skill. CBI method is also recommended to be applied in the hybrid classrooms.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this service activity is to improve business development and assistance to strengthen product marketing strategies in the Sidorejo Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). This service activity is focused on developing BUMDes businesses and implementing marketing methods for BUMDes Desa Sidorejo Comal both with conventional methods and via the internet. The service methods used are: (1) Conducting initial observations and interviews with BUMDes management and community leaders. and (2) the stages of implementing the activities. The result achieved is that the management of the Sidorejo Village BUMDes can improve marketing strategies both through conventional and the internet as an optimization of the existence of Sidorejo Village BUMDes.]]>

<![CDATA[Story face is an adaptation of story mapping. The main purpose of this study was to find out whether there was a significant difference in the reading performance of the students between those who are taught by using the story face strategy and who are taught without using the story face strategy. This study used the quantitative research method with quasi-experimental design. The population was 8th grade junior high school and the sample was 60 students. To collect the data, researcher used test and applied SPSS 27 to analyze the data. It was found that there is a difference in scores between the experimental and control groups. The experimental group's pre-test score was 62.73, and the post-test score was 81.00. There was an increase after receiving the story face strategy treatment. In addition, the control group's score was 62.67, and the post-test was 72.93. The experimental group scored higher. T-test using an Independent Sample Test with Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.001 <0.050, so Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected. T-table test results are df = 30+30-2=58. The researcher used the table of significant degree 5%, so the t-table was -1.671/+1.671. The t-test value surpassed the corresponding t-table value (5.380 > 1.671), and the p-value was 0.001, which is less than the significance level of 0.050. The results showed the effective application of the story face strategy in reading recount text. Students were able to improve their skills in reading comprehend with using story face strategy.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was focused on investigating the effectiveness of students' vocabulary mastery using the comic "Donald Duck" for 7th-grade students in SMP N 25 Semarang. This research aimed to compare the findings of students' vocabulary mastery before and after being taught Donald Duck comic media and to see if there was a significant difference in student achievement in their vocabulary mastery taught before and after using Donald Duck comic media. This research used a quasi-experimental design with two classes: experimental and control. This study's population consisted of 261 students in the seventh grade at SMP N 25 Semarang, and the sample consisted of 64 students from two classes, VIG and VID. Data was collected by giving a pre-test and a post-test and then analyzed in the SPSS program using the t-test formula. The analysis results show that students not taught to use comics have a "poor" ability, as seen from their post-test average score of 60.13. Students taught to use comics had "good" abilities, as seen from their post-test average score of 75.50. So, a t-test of 13,054 is obtained with a t-table of 2,042 at a significance level of 5%. It can be concluded that the t-test is higher than the t-table (13.054>2.042). This shows that there is a significant difference in vocabulary mastery between students who are taught using Donald Duck comics and those who are not taught using Donald Duck comics. This means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. Learning vocabulary mastery using Donald Duck comics is effective.]]>

<![CDATA[This research aims to determine the effectiveness of using Mind Map learning media on students' ability to write descriptive texts. The research method used is quantitative with Quasi-Experimental as a design that uses two groups pretest and posttest only control group design. Therefore, the researcher chose two classes randomly as the experimental class and the control class to be given a pretest and posttest. The sample for this research was 63 eighth grade students of SMP N 5 Jepara for the 2022/2023 academic year. The research instruments collected during the research were; tests, questionnaires, and documentation. To score students' writing descriptive texts on the pretest and posttest, the researcher used a scoring rubric, namely an analysis score. The results showed that there was a positive effect on students' writing descriptive texts after using the Mind Map learning media. It can be seen from the results of Toberved calculations which are higher than the Ttable. Toberved obtained a result of 3.179 while the results of an independent T-test table with df 61 and a significance level of 5% obtained a Ttable of 2,000. This shows that the comparison of Toberved and Ttable is 3.179 > 2.000 so that the T-test is higher than the Ttable. So it can be concluded that the Mind Map learning media is effective for improving students' ability to write descriptive texts.]]>

<![CDATA[LPM bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pembekalan pembuatan pupuk organik cair (POC) dari limbah kulit nanas kepada warga di RT 003 RW 014 Kelurahan Padasuka, Ciomas Kabupaten Bogor. Peningkatan sampah rumah tangga sejalan dengan penambahan jumlah penduduk merupakan salah satu permasalahan di lingkungan perkotaan. Situasi inilah yang turut menginspirasi lahirnya kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Masyarakat pengabdian harus meningkatkan pengetahuan, wawasan, dan keterampilan agar dapat mengelola sampah rumah tangga dengan baik. Tangga limbah rumah adalah bahan limbah atau bahan sisa yang tidak lagi digunakan dari hasil aktivitas manusia dalam skala rumah tangga. Salah satu limbah skala rumah tangga adalah kulit nanas, kulit nanas ini dapat diolah menjadi pupuk organik cair. Pupuk Cairan organik ini dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk untuk pekarangan warga. Pupuk organik cair ini berguna selain untuk menyuburkan tanaman pekarangan, juga dapat memperbaiki struktur tanah yang rusak akibat penggunaan pupuk kimia kembali menjadi tanah gembur dan subur. Target output pengabdian kepada masyarakat ditekankan pada peningkatan penerapan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi di masyarakat.]]>

<![CDATA[Program Kemitraan Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan guru Gugus Gajah Mada Kecamatan Bandar Kabupaten Batang sebagai fasilitator sekolah ramah anak. Permasalahan yang dihadapi guru adalah kurangnya pemahaman guru terhadap konsep Sekolah Ramah Anak dan rendahnya peran guru sebagai fasilitator pendidikan dalam mendukung terwujudnya sekolah ramah anak. Peserta pelatihan adalah guru yang tergabung dalam Kelompok Kerja Guru Gugus Gajah Mada Kecamatan bandar kabupaten Batang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi pendidikan ramah anak, pelatihan pembelajaran partisipatif, dan pendampingan. Ipteks yang ditransfer kepada mitra pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pembelajaran ramah anak berbasis partisipatif dengan menerapkan 3Ps (Provisi, Proteksi dan Partisipasi). Luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini, yaitu pemahaman guru terhadap pendidikan ramah dan implementasi pembelajaran partisipatif melalui penerapan 3Ps (Provisi, Proteksi dan Partisipasi) dalam proses pembelajaran meningkat secara signifikan.]]>

<![CDATA[Education is a process where students and teachers are involved in teaching and learning activities. Motivation to learn is important for students to achieve educational goals. To maintain this motivation, intervention or strategies are needed by educators. One of the intervention methods to increase learning motivation is by giving rewards. This study aims to understand the impact of giving rewards on increasing students' learning motivation. This research includes quantitative research with an experimental research design, namely pretest-posttest one group design. This study involved a sample of 25 students of SDN X Bukittinggi. The data collection method used a questionnaire or questionnaire and observation. The data analysis technique determined for this study was the paired sample t test. The results revealed that the learning motivation of fifth grade students of SDN X Bukittinggi increased after being given a reward.]]>

<![CDATA[The people of Pilangrejo Village, Wonosalam District, most of the people have a livelihood producing smoked fish. Smoked Fish is one of the production alternatives that are in demand by the market because of its taste which tends to be more savory and durable. The problem in the field of production faced by partners is that the smoking process is still traditional, so that the appearance and cleanliness of smoked fish are not well maintained. In addition, it can cause environmental pollution around the production area.The problem in the field of marketing is that the process of selling smoked fish is still carried out conventionally. Partners are not familiar with online product marketing. The solution offered to partners is by training on smoked fish packaging and online sales processes, so that smoked fish can be widely known to the public. As for financial management problems, partners do not understand how to manage personal and business finances. The solution offered is family financial management training, which will later have an impact on business finances. This PKM activity was attended by 60 members of the fish smokers association. The results of this PKM activity make partners able to produce smoked fish cleanly and healthily, partners can also carry out the sales process online, and partners can manage family and business finances well.]]>
