(3) Describe the effect of developing student creativity in the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning model for class V at  SDN Ngariboyo 4, Ngariboyo District, Magetan Regency. This activity uses a class action research model (PTK) and quantitative descriptive. This PTK step consists of 2 cycles, each completed in two days. The study participants were only fifth-grade students enrolled at SDN Ngariboyo 4, Ngariboyo District, Magetan Regency, semester II of the 2022/2023 school year. The instruments applied in the activity are interviews, documentation, and observation. At the same time, evaluation focuses on test-based and non-test-based processes and outcomes. The results showed that using Problem-Based Learning (PBL) improved fifth-grade students' learning outcomes at SDN Ngariboyo 4, Ngariboyo District, Magetan Regency. This can be seen in the development value, which increased sharply from the previous normal of 70.04 in cycle I and 79.04 in cycle II. The cycle ends when learning completeness reaches over 75% in cycle II. The effect of implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) learning can improve student learning outcomes, creativity, and activeness in experiences in the learning process.

Abstract

The following subjects were specifically investigated in this study; 1) To compare role play learning strategies and conventional models in improving students' English speaking skills. 2.) To find out why the role play learning strategy in improving students' english speaking skills can be said to be more effective. The design of this research is quasi-experimental using control and experimental classes. The method that will be used in the experimental class is the use of Role Play and the control method uses the conventional method. The sample that will be taken by the researcher is two classes from class XI MIPA 2 as the control class and class XI MIPA 5 as the experimental class. To find out the comparison between the experimental class and the control class, the average post-test results in each class will be calculated. To determine the level of effectiveness of roleplay learning, a gain score technique will be used. Based on the results of the assessment obtained from the post-test, the average of control class was 67,64 and experiment class was 71,11. Based on the calculation using the Gain Score formula with reference to the previous data, the Gain Score obtained is 0.72 which is included in the "High" criteria. Some students believed that studying would be more enjoyable if they used roleplaying. Furthermore, it is necessary to develop a roleplay learning strategy to be able to improve students' cognitive abilities as seen from students' English learning outcomes.

Abstract

Social media addiction is a growing concern among adolescents worldwide, with potentially serious impacts on psychological health, academic performance, and social relationships. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a psychological program designed to reduce social media addiction among tenth-grade students in Duhok Governorate, Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test measurements. The sample consisted of 23 tenth-grade students (aged 15 years and above) who exhibited high levels of social media addiction according to a validated scale. The intervention was a 12-session psychological program based on cognitive-behavioral approaches, delivered twice weekly for 45 minutes per session. The program incorporated techniques such as self-control training, rational thinking skills, time management, relaxation exercises, and positive reinforcement strategies. Data were collected using the Social Media Addiction Scale (Younis, 2016) and analyzed using t-tests and Cohen's effect size calculations. Findings revealed that participants had high levels of social media addiction at baseline (M=64.52, SD=5.17), significantly higher than the hypothetical mean (t=4.18, p<0.05). Following the intervention, there was a statistically significant decrease in addiction levels (M=53.43, SD=10.13; t=5.24, p<0.05), with a large effect size (Cohen's d=1.09). The results indicate that the psychological program was effective in reducing social media addiction among the participants. The study demonstrates that structured psychological interventions based on cognitive and behavioral approaches can effectively reduce social media addiction among adolescents. The findings suggest that implementing similar programs in educational settings could be beneficial in addressing the growing problem of social media addiction among students, particularly in regions where digital literacy education and awareness about risks of excessive social media use are limited

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a cognitive-behavioral program in reducing psychological stress among 12th-grade science stream female students. The researcher adopted the experimental method using a sample of female students from secondary schools in the Faida area, Duhuk Governorate. The sample was divided into an experimental group that underwent the cognitive-behavioral program and a control group that received no intervention. The researcher formulated two main hypotheses: that there would be no significant differences between the experimental and control groups in stress reduction, and no significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores within the experimental group. The study relied on a psychological stress scale, and the cognitive-behavioral program was prepared by the researcher. The findings revealed significant differences between the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group, demonstrating reduced psychological stress levels. The results also showed a statistically significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores of the experimental group, confirming the effectiveness of the cognitive-behavioral program in reducing psychological stress among participants

Abstract

This research aims to test the effectiveness of using Pop-Up Books to increase students' vocabulary. Pop-Up Book is implemented for students in E-learning using YouTube videos. This research uses a quasi-experiment design with non-equivalent control groups. By conducting tests on two groups, this research design combines pre-test, treatment, and post-test research. The author uses a test for students created to measure student achievement in increasing vocabulary using Pop Up. Test to determine the difference in students' vocabulary mastery between the experimental group and the control group after the learning process using Pop-Up Books or without using Pop-Up Books. The population in this study were class VII students at MTs PSM Randublatung Blora for the 2021/2022 academic year. Class VII C is the control group, while VII D is the experimental group. The results of this research indicate that the use of Pop-Up Books to increase students' vocabulary is effective. The test results show that the average score is 86.44, which is in the good range. With a rate of 59.03%, the use of Pop-Up Books as learning media is quite effective.
